Yankee i would love to actually see if you can show an actual 1000 oz gold bar. It will put it in perspective to alot of people to show what it used to be worth and current value now
@davidMW007 they're worth the trip. It's a cool place to look around man. They always have neat historical stuff. Want coins or bullion? They have it. Jewelry, they have it. Joe DiMaggio or Pete Rose card, they have it.
Yesterday, I picked up my 3rd 1/4 oz Gold Eagle. $650. Premiums are a little less as this is only about $10 more than a month and a half ago. I've shifted my stacking from tubes of ASEs to fractional Gold. I still pickup the random Silver Bullion coins or rounds, especially when there's a new design.
This is the best thing to do! Well done. Premiums on silver are too high and it is underperforming, meaning you won’t see a return for at least 10-15 years. Where as gold typically has a 3%-5% premium which is 4-5x less than that of silver. Even fractional gold cans have 10% or less premium if you look hard enough and it yields better results.
ouch that no firearms sign feels dictatorship lol I get it lots of money but still...not very American..like a robber would see the sign and then just leave instead of trying to rob them?
10:45 my LCS does silver to gold trades as well, however you are still selling your silver and buying gold. Because you are still getting gold with a premium tacked onto it, and you are losing the premium you paid for your silver. It’s not a straight GSR trade off, the dealer will always make money on this exchange and you essentially will lose money. If you have too much silver and want some gold, then just stop buying silver and start buying gold. Vice versa, if you have too much gold and want silver then just start buying silver. Doing exchanges always makes you lose money. I just wanted to comment that for the new stackers who think the can do a straight GSR trade. Bottom line, you can’t. Thanks for an awesome video Yankee! Loved this tour! And love your channel 😁
Fun fact about US Coins. They know what they're premiums were and are. If you bought it from them, they return your premium when you sell/ trade to them.
@@edb3877 well I live about 56 miles north of there but it’s still close enough. I have to drive to Houston to go see them. I live in Barr north Waller County on my farm
I went there once. I was ready to spend over $8,000.00 when silver dropped to $18 an ounce. I was actively ignored for over 20 minutes and left while promising myself I'll never go back again. It's really a shame too, they had some awesome art pieces I wanted to buy.
Ah, yes I know the place well LOL. I've been to their shop quite a few times. A very nice LCS! Nice job featuring them on your channel. Not my thing to do LCS videos like this but these guys needed a feature. Hit me up next time you're in town 👌
Wow!! This was incredible!! Way to go Yankee! What a neat place and the fact that they had so many cool memorabilia items, especially from Texas history. Love those two gold bars at the end from the shipwreck. I took advantage of the classic gold coin premium drop recently with a heck of a deal. Thanks for sharing!
I love your channel Yankee…! Thanks bro. I watch your channel especially when my anxiety is high about life in general and it calms me down like medication..!
I don't care about gloves I just hold the coin or the round by the edges slide them in the tubes and carry on. The dealers at PMX Canada they don't use gloves either
I have a 10oz. Gold bar munze ostereich austria mint I always worry about how to sell. Loose not in an assay card. I'd like to trade it for some popular 1oz. Coins. I just don't think if I had an emergency and needed money it would be very liquid fast but I have never sold gold, only buy. I do know austria 🇦🇹 mint gold is top quality 24 carat gold so its got to be near spot or melt
The problem I have with the collection side of stacking is, if we get into a hyper inflation scenario and paper money becomes actually worthless, are we actually going to expect an old gold coin to be worth more than a newer gold coin? I know its all speculation at the end of the day. But in my mind, what I can see happening is that the economy tanks so badly, and paper money is so devalued, that gold and silver will be worth whatever they're worth regardless of provenance or history at that point. Because, at the time when us dollars are so devalued, civilization would be at such a bad state that I dont think anyone will be caring about the history of gold or silver. They will just want that gold and silver. Is this a wildly incorrect idea? Id like to know what you guys think.
So cool they’re nice to you on camera. You could be a regular spending 1-3k a week in there and they rude & dry af… so I stopped going there. I like Gold & Silver Traders on Westheimer, Houston TX! Katy Coin has a nice collection and friendly but their premium prices are the highest I have ever seen, more than apmex.
You can trade silver for gold or gold for silver but without a fiat currency how do you determine how much silver it takes to buy gold or vice versa. You may not be actually touching the dollar but you are still using it to determine value.
