You're creating a lot of friz by blowing the air up the hairshaft. Keep everything the same except angle the dryer so the air is blowing down the shaft (from root toward ends)
My, you are new to this. A smaller brush will create more curl, a larger brush will create larger curls/waves and more body. Try a spray appropriate for your hair type to keep the curl, or it will most likely fall out soon after.
Next time hold your hair and unroll the bush instead of just pulling the brush down to release your hair. Also for less friz angel your blow dryer towards the way it naturally falls down instead of aiming it straight if that makes any sense. And also if you want the curls to last longer get a second brush and let one hang in your hair while you blow out the next piece of hair.
LOL, when I was in kindergarten I wanted to imitate my mom/the hairdresser, but I didn't like round brushes. So I tried with a comb. I had to cut my hair off and I thought nobody would notice 😂
