Ive never really liked Lady Gaga but seeing her here for first time just looking like "normal" she actually looks attractive without the makeup and just normal styled straight hair.
Saw the film last night and I was blown away. I can’t say much that already hasn’t been said but if this isn’t just a one hit wonder for Cooper as a director, he has the potential to be the next great filmmaker/actor among the likes of Clint Eastwood and Ben Affleck. I choked up a couple of times but I didn’t really tear up until the ending. Bradley Cooper undoubtedly deserves an Academy Award for his performance.
Why? I can't stand Lady Gaga, she is everything that's wrong with being a celebrity today. The movie screams "Oscar bait" allover and those films are not the same to watch after the hype dies down.
I guess I should see it; planned to watch it on DVD🤷🏻♀️ Lady Gaga is not only a great artist, but now she’s playing in the movie theaters. Good for her; I’ll see what people are buzzing about now🎟🌈
I went and saw this with my bf, was our second real date and this movie had us fucked up lol. We hadn't seen the originals and didn't know what to expect and it was amazing. When shit gets real it gets real as fuck. I wouldn't consider myself an emotional person but the combination of the drama and Gaga's voice had me in tears. Definitely in my top 5 movies of this year.
Funny you guys should bring up the whole Dave Chappelle as Bubba thing. He and Mykelti Williamson (who actually went on to play Bubba) were in Con Air together.

This movie legit made me not want to drink. I know its like the 5th time its been done & I've never seen the others but this film was perfect & it broke my heart. Music to My Eyes is my favorite song from the film
I knew Andrew Dice Clay could do tenderness, a little known comedy from the 80's called Casual Sex showed off that side of him before he starred in Ford Fairlane.

Some of the movie was filmed at Coachella (Beyonce was to be the headliner but dropped out - pregnancy ). Gaga jumped in as headliner, bringing Bradley and his crew, and Gaga's fans were on hand.
I'm curious to see if this gets the La La Land treatment, where everyone who saw it early raves and raves then when everyone else sees it they go. "Okay...that's it?"

Gaga carries this movie but then I ask myself would I just prefer to have watched a series of music videos. If she's not singing it's pretty cringe. Sam Elliott is the man though.

Most "Oscar worthy" movies aren't big budget blockbusters like Venom. Venom was always gonna crush A Star is Born at the box office, but that doesn't take away anything from either of the movies. Go see them both like me!!
And what was the total for Friday? Venom 32 million A Star is Born 15 million ASiB may not make as much as Venom, but it's going to do just fine, probably with a couple of Oscars come awards time. I doubt Venom will do the same.

The movie was pointless and the pacing was terrible. It’s hard to feel for these characters when there’s no true development, or resolution for the characters. Great soundtrack. Cool Camera shots in the first 40 minutes or so, but after a while you get the same shots over and over. The movie wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that good either. Y’all need to be your own people and stop listening to dudes who either have a bias, or don’t really know a thing about filmmaking. Sure Korey did animation for Space Jam.
