I watched the film, Gaga and Bradley didn't snatch my wig, they snatched my soul and now, I'm dead, posting this comment after a session of ouija which allowed me to possess a new body and express myself for a last time.
Fun (or sad) fact, Ashley: The last track "I'll never love again was recorded at the very last shooting day of the movie, and sadly for coincidence the same day her best friend Sonya died. She got a call of her husband, I think, and left the set just to see her, but it was too late, and then she went back to set to record this track. That's why her voice is clearly emotional in some parts. It's very heartbreaking, but it's a monstruously real feeling tho
The sadder part about "I'll never love again" is that she just recorded it hours after her best friend Sonia died from her long battle with cancer. So a lot of those emotions/tears in the song were real.

I agree, those are by far the best songs in the movie and the songs that make the movie. I'll Never Love Again is our modern day I Will Always Love You, it's timeless and perfect!
Hey Sis, ya know, this is a Movie, shit, there has 2b editing, mastering, all the pro stuff But the music is still just as real. 2day I watched a clip from the 4 dudes who did that editing, and how and why. Open up ur mind. This is a multi-collaboration as well. Pick up the CD and read all the ppl involved in evry track. This was a massive effort. Have some respect, bcuz I do not think u r a musician or have many yrs under ur belt. I am an older woman at 64, fell in love w/music @age six. As a reg gig, I was a critical care R.N., but my 2nd carreer was as a singer, guitarist, and some acting when young. So, b4 u criticize, educate urself musically so u don' t make a fool of urself in print anymore. THIS SHIT IS FABULOUS!
My ranking: 1. Always Remember Us This Way 2. I'll Never Love Again 3. Is That Alright? 4. Shallow 5. Look What I Found 6. Black Eyes 7. I Don't Know What Love Is 8. La Vie En Rose 9. Music To My Eyes 10. Before I Cry 11. Maybe It's Time 12. Hair Body Face 13. Diggin' My Grave 14. Heal Me 15. Out of Time 16. Alibi 17. Too Far Gone 18. Why Did You Do That? Btw: The Top 3 were the hardest to rank. If I could have made them a three way tie I totally would have.
And I also did not know that you liked Gaga, but I'm grateful that you not only like her, but that in fact you also recognize how good singer she is and how talented she is not just singing, but in all her artistry and all her capacities and abilities.
Without even having seen the movie yet just based off the soundtrack if Gaga don't get an Oscar the academy is going on my hit list lol. From what I have seen and heard from the movie I think this is the first time we're truly seeing Stefani and not "Gaga." She deserves a Grammy just for Always Remember Us This Way alone. If you hear that song and don't want to cry you have no soul and are dead inside. Is That Alright literally had me in my bed crying, cause Gaga made my soul and hurt in ways I haven't felt in a long time. I agree 1000% with everything you said about that track, and I love how dramatic you are cause girl, same lol.
The songs were recorded live. Before filming the last song, one of her best friends passed away and when she cries during the song is not acting, it's real .. 💔😭
Girl, you are going to be in for a ride with this movie. I sobbed my eyes out. I’m not even joking it’s one of my favorite movies (I’m literally going to go watch it in the theatres again tomorrow). But the storyline and the soundtrack like once you see the visuals I think you’ll fall more in love. I’m praying for you Girl
The last part of the Film was saddest part!! You'll never listen to I'll never love again with a proud smile because its just sad after watching it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 IM STILL DEAD AFTER WATCHING IT
You are going to LOVE this movie, Bradley plays Jackson Maine a guitarist, he did his own vocals and learned to play guitar for the role. He directed and it was his first time directing and contributed to the scriopt.
Great review and btw, the last song (I'll never love again) was performed one hour after she knew her friend Sonja had passed away from cancer (that's why you can hear her sobbing in the song)
The movie is going to definitely kill you😂😂😂 It killed me and i dont get emotional during movies. RIP Sister Ash 😂😂 And girl! Camila is being eventful this week and is blessing us tonight with a Consequences (orchestra) verison, tomorrow she is going to be performing Consequences at the AMAs, and Wednesday she is dropping the music video which im not mentally prepared for. I would love to see your reaction to this because we all know how well you handled the album😂😂 love you queen!❤
Great reaction. 🤗 My top 5 songs in the albums: 1. Always Remember Us This Way 2. It Is Alright? 3. Shallow 4. Maybe It’s Time 5. I’m Never Love Again 💛⭐️💛
Lol ironic when she starts to really vibe with the songs that are intentionally sposed to be "bad". Not that they are poorly sung but in the context of the film they're such a departure from the REAL songs that Ally snag from her soul. Not the sell out songs like "why did you do that to me".
GRIFFIN FINNEGAN I know right, cuz so many Lady Gaga fans listened to the soundtrack first. I went into this movie only knowing the trailer songs and had an amazing experience!
Why is this reaction such a big mood tho, honestly me throughout the film like "this is my fave song" next song comes on "no this one", I just saw the movie again on sunday and my bish ass cried again
This commentary has me dying 😂😂😂 . The impactful part of it all is that once you see the film you find the soundtrack follows the story arc of her character's journey...and you'll see how it alllll comes full circle.
FYI all the songs in the movie are being sang live...it’s amazing because both bradley and gaga hated seeing actors/singers lip sync the songs when they shoot the scenes so when you watch the movie the songs are literally being sang that very moment
Still can't believe they never released Always Remember Us This Way and Is That Alright? as singles. I love Shallow. Glad it become the huge hit it did. But those two deserved mad props too.
I should add that the reason I lose it every time I hear this is because lyrically it reminds me of how I feel about my wife. She truly does complete me in every way.
Heal Me and the other pop songs were made different that way because Gaga's character got signed to a label and they were changing the type of music she made.
I feel the same about the yee haw songs tbh. Like, they’re totally fine and the lyrics are there but Gaga’s voice gives me shivers when she goes all out.
As soon as I heard this soundtrack I knew i needed to go see it and throughout the movie hearing the songs made me BAWLLLLL. It was such an amazing movie and the songs made it even better.
All the music in the film is LIVE!! hope you enjoyed the film cus my big brother Will Fetters is one of the writers and he has worked so long and so hard on this so thank you for hyping it up and spreading the word ❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟
I don’t know if it’s already been said here, but the same day Gaga recorded this song, her best friend Sonja lost a long battle to cancer. She was on set, & got a call saying Sonja wasn’t doing good. She left the set immediately, but Gaga missed her best friend’s passing by 10 or so minutes, stayed with Sonja’s family & friends for a while, & then went back to record “I’ll Never Love Again.” So when you hear this song, you can hear all of the raw emotion just pouring out of her & into the music. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Lukas Nelson, Willie Nelson’s son, is the music contributor for this movie. He co-wrote the music with GaGa. And those are his licks on the guitar on Out Of Time.
Like, omg, I love you so much for doing this. Thanks for doing this reaction and give yourself the time to hear, appreciate, and share this soundtrack with your audience and recognise the greatness of it.
I love what you said about the birth of your first child not being as great as the song. I feel that way about several songs on the soundtrack. I am a 51 year old guy who sings in a metal band and I needed someone to hold ME while I watched this movie... pure greatness!
First song (after 20 second opening track) is a style called "grunge" or "grunge rock", made popular by bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains.
Fun fact (not so fun) about I’ll Never Love Again, the day she did that scene (btw shoutout to my little monsters who were there that day as an extra!!!) her best friend Sonja had just passed away. It was so hard when she told us. The pain in the scene is her real life pain of losing her best friend.
I can’t put into words how much I loved this reaction and I hadn’t even heard it yet. I laughed and related and enjoyed the whole video. Really good editing, great personality and I agreed with you every time you said “if this ain’t your favorite song, you’re wrong” 😂 much love!
Just so you know Bradley Coopers band in the movie is Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real! Lukas nelson is the lead guitar player. He is the son of Willie Nelson! They have toured as Neil Youngs band and are incredible!
For me: 1. Heal Me 2. Always Remember Us This Way 3.Before I Cry 4. Look What I Found 5. I'll Never Love Again 6. Why Did You Do That 7.Shallow 8. Is That Alright? 9. I Don't Know What Love Is 10. Music To My Eyes Even if this video was from 1 yr ago😂

Lyrically "Always remember Us this Way" should win the Original Song Oscar...imo
