The pop songs were intentionally made to sound generic. Her label controlled her during the movie and made her release this style of music when she wasn’t that type of artist.
I love how there are still loads of Little Monsters on twitter who love those generic pop songs, kinda ironic considering how manufactured and fake they intentionally are.
The Cure was originally going to be in the soundtrack. I’m happy because it’s a very basic song, but now I know why! At least we know Gaga won’t go this direction in her new album which is why I’m osoooooo excited for LG6.
the songs were produced with dj white shadow whos worked on previous albums of hers, the only generic thing about the pop songs is supposed to be the lyrics. ally is a master songwriter and the lyrics in all of them are basic but the production of all of them are amazing

This soundtrack is on Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard" level. All of the songs sound like instant classics. If Gaga doesn't receive at least one award then I'm rioting. They better NOT try the Little Monsters. 😤
I don't know if it's quite at that level, but it's close... Like, the songs on The Bodyguard soundtrack were defining songs of Whitney's career, but I can't see people looking back at Gaga's career and picking any of these as defining songs over Poker Face, Bad Romance or Born This Way
@@nathancreek6086 You're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree. I feel like this is a major turning point in Gaga's career. And if she wins an Oscar (which she better btw) then it will help solidify her status as an icon.
@@nightmonster8690 no doubt the movie will be iconic, but none of the songs are stand outs in Gaga's musical career in the same way I Will Always Love You or I'm Every Woman were for Whitney
I never a big fan of a lady gaga and i go with my friend to the cinema on this movie because she have 2 tickets and i was shook, really i laught, i cry.She is a icon, her voice is a masterpiece (i cry everytime when i listen to i never love again its like a Whitney+Mariah vibe) I wish she do more songs like this because her voice is unique and i need songs like this on the radio (not only about drugs, sex, money and other shit) SHE MUST WIN AWARD!!!!
The Pop songs are meant to be eh and just be mindless pop but you'll understand better when you see the movie. Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright and I'll Never Love Again are the holy trinity of this soundtrack!
The problem with this reaction is that you didn’t see the movie before. You need to know the story to fully understand the lyrics, why the songs are in that order and why they sound like that.
Rez, her fcking manager, was controlling her and made her sound very pop and kinda generic (Heal Me, Why Did You Do That, Hair Body Face). Jackson tried to make her understand that she was losing herself but she didn’t listen to him.
Agreed. I thought the same thing when I heard the album before watching it. But as soon as you do..omg everything makes so much sense. I love the whole album. The movie better win an Oscar or 12
Completely the same, I saw the movie yesterday and now I see her reactions, I'm like "Girl, go to the theatre and see how it goes!" Some songs are even more precious when you see the movie.
I read somewhere that someone theorized that "The Cure" was meant for the film but they didn't use it which is why Gaga released it as one of her songs. If you watch the movie "A Star Is Born" and look at Gaga's cover for "The Cure" it is very Ally and makes sense. It's also like Gaga gave us a taste of Ally before we even knew she was Ally!
I think this could be true because she debuted this song at coachella 2017. She headlined coachella because when they were filming a star is born, Bradley asked if they could use the coachella stage for filming in between the two weekends. At the time they needed someone to headline and it came to some sort of agreement that Lady Gaga would perform and they could film (obviously not just this exchange but her performing helped out.) So she maybe wrote this song as ally as at the time she was filming scenes as ally. Also if you look closely during one of her songs at coachella (can’t remember which one now) the backdrop is photos of her as ally!!
La Vie En Rose is a French classic from the singer Edith Piaf who is legendary - check her out if you haven’t. The way they pay homage to Piaf is lovely as she was a woman which was highly misunderstood in her life. Gaga also sang La Vie En Rose even before this movie so I feel as if the song was a perfect introduction because they blended her real life and her character in a way that really touched me.
I watched it the first day it came out in the movies two days ago and oh my GOD!!! I remember why I became a little monster and my queen Lady Gaga reminded me why I started music and fell in love with it in the first place! I’m definitely gonna do a cover of “Always remember us this way” and play at my school talent show. Thx for doing a reaction i love seeing how other ppl feel about it besides me.
Top songs: Shallow, Is That Alright?, Why Did You Do That?, Before I Cry, I’ll Never Love Again I personally think Why Did You Do That is a GODDAMN BOP.
This movie reminded me firstly of why Gaga is the woman I’ve idolized since I was 13 in 2008 and also why she was the one who gave me the strength to become a singer. This movie is so representative of what we go through as artists. It was powerful to say the least. Gaga fan or not, it is a must see

Bry Holland don’t misunderstand me, I love the pop songs but they are supposed to show how Ally is changing her style in a more pop influenced genre but it’s her choice, she likes her stuff. That’s why she’s defending her song when Jackson made fun of it in the bathtub scene. She lost her identity only when it comes to changing her look for others, doing things she doesn’t like but STILL she’s defending her music. I loved that they showed that particular detail.
I loved “I’ll never lover again” the most because it’s so personal, you can actually see Ally’s heart through this track. It talks to me in every way. I can’t wait to watch to the movie, but unfortunately it will only be released this week. I’m really anxious 💙
This album and movie better win all the awards. Every song is phenomenal, even the pop ones. I think those songs needed to be in there even though they don’t sound the same as the others. Hair Body Face reminds me of The Cure. Anyone else? But the ballads and Gaga’s vocals!!!???. GOD kill me now
I think the film version of I Will Never Love Again... Shows what may happen to Bradley's character Jackson at the end of the movie. And each time I listen to it, I cried. I have cried 7 times today from it. You can hear her sniffling on that track which makes me think of Jackson.
Before the movie i diidnt listen to film version so i didnt know it but in the movie it was so emotional especially the part he said i just want to take a nother look at you part when they say goodbye for the last time
When she filmed I will never love again she had just lost her friend to cancer and tried to get to the hospital and missed saying goodbye to her. She came back to set and filmed that scene, she was singing to her friend she said.
Always remember us this way is my favorite song of this soundtrack. Heal me is totally different between another song that reason in the movie. After I watched A Star is Born that was really touching me until to now. I can’t stop thinking of the movie.

La vie en rose is actually one of the most beautiful, romantic and famous french songs by the artist Edith Piaf who passed away years ago in 1963. This song is considered as a masterpiece and many artists did a cover, sometimes in english, like Louis Armstrong. As a french person, I can say that Gaga did an amazing job with this song.

The mindless pop ones, that are in the movie to show how disturbing are the changes Ally's label (manager) makes to her natural style?! The ones that make Jackson's concern about Ally staying true to her art and herself understandable?! No!
zuzanka1981 but the album needs something more “Poppy”. I love the soulful ones. They make me feel some type of way. But I just really like the Pop songs, because I miss the Pop Gaga.
Beyoncé’s God Child it's basically conformed how the sound of LG6 will be, it's going to be very pop, and it will have a lot of techno music influence, one of the producer's of her new album put a snippet of how the sound of some of gaga songs in LG6 will sound, and basically had a lot of that late 90's early 00's European techno vibe
As soon as I heard the soundtrack, I knew i needed to go see the movie. I watched it and completely lost it crying. It was such an amazing movie. Gaga slayed!!!
The album and the film is DEFINITELY a turning point for Lady Gaga. People used to see her as plain pop but with a star is born, she has all respects, because her effort in A Star Is Born is definitely not to sleep on. She deserves all the 71 awards on shallow too. A Star is Born is still one of the best albums today too imo
Same as you... I love Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright?, Before I Cry and I'll Never Love Again... They are my favorite songs in this album... Look What I Found and Hair Body Face is good too... I hope Lady Gaga will make her next project, her next coming album more sound like this, overall... THIS IS BEAUTIFUL ❤
"Shallow" has a double meaning, because in the movie,, she starts singing about deep meaningful things, but when she becomes famous and puts out these "pop bangers" as some people here like to say it, the music becomes shallow and generic.

“Why Did You Do That?” & “Hair Body Face”🔥🔥🔥 These are the songs we need in LG6
Heal mee too
Beyoncé’s God Child okkkk but those are so soulless and meaningless
First! I was waiting so much for this video. I never clicked so fast on it. GO SEE THE MOVIE KIDS!!
And @ajayll I can’t wait for your movie review! Everything will make so much sense after you’ll watch it :)
As soon as I heard the soundtrack, I knew i needed to go see the movie. I watched it and completely lost it crying. It was such an amazing movie. Gaga slayed!!!
This soundtrack is everything ❤
The album and the film is DEFINITELY a turning point for Lady Gaga. People used to see her as plain pop but with a star is born, she has all respects, because her effort in A Star Is Born is definitely not to sleep on. She deserves all the 71 awards on shallow too. A Star is Born is still one of the best albums today too imo
"I'll Never Love Again" is my absolute favorite song
My favourite songs of the album are is that alright ? I'll will never love again (extended)
You will understand the pop songs until you whatch the movie!♡
When you got choked up during Always Remember Us This Way, that got me.
I got an Ad of A star is born trailer while watching this review😂
A sign that I'm gonna watch this movie
Same as you... I love Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright?, Before I Cry and I'll Never Love Again... They are my favorite songs in this album... Look What I Found and Hair Body Face is good too... I hope Lady Gaga will make her next project, her next coming album more sound like this, overall... THIS IS BEAUTIFUL ❤
Seeing what you say about Heal Me, I'm happy that youre just about to watch it and realize why there's the pop songs
This is so hard but my top 5:
1. I Don't Know What Love Is?
2. Shallow
3. Is That Alright?
4. Black Eyes
5. Look What i Found
The pop songs are part of the story in the movie and are kinda meant to be bland, they weigh the album down in my opinion
Honey I didn't skip any of the ads cause Ajayll deserve all that coint! Great reaction vid as always!
"Shallow" has a double meaning, because in the movie,, she starts singing about deep meaningful things, but when she becomes famous and puts out these "pop bangers" as some people here like to say it, the music becomes shallow and generic.
it's also a reference to the previous a star is born films where instead of hanging himself, the male lead goes to the deep end of the ocean and drown
Always Remember Us This Way is also my favorite 😌💙😭
My top songs:
Alibi
Diggin' My Grave
Hair Body Face
Always Remember Us This Way
I'll Never Love Again (film version)
Is That Alright? (My wedding song lol)
TheNraveles
Where’s Heal me, Why did you do this?
@@danibeki Why Did You Do That? And Heal Me aren't in my top 5 due to just them rigghhtt under. Hair Body Face is actually my favorite of the 3 major pop songs
♥️🤧
Did u play is that alright at your wedding ceremony awww so cute
@@staciegreat4642 I'm planning on it
Im so excited for you to see the movie!!! I want to get married to "Is That Alright?" And I LOVE "Remember Us This Way" especially when she roars, "I dont wanna be just a memory baby!" Damn! It's so goooooood.
Such a bussi boppin soundtrack hunty!
Bradley Cooper can sing so so good. Lady Gaga was brilliant in the film..

How does it feel to be right about all your descriptions. You were spot on your feelings about each song before watching the movie. Good job!
