Favorite things in this video besides the usual insane Joonbob polish:
    My favorite intro so far
Knockback tower animations so clean its crazy
"Random" boomdive and lariat naming structure (I always gotta remind myself about Infernal Spin -> Random Lariat)
    "He's still pounding"
Perfect view of the amazing enrage
Several carefully inserted melee greed tricks
    11/10 video

YES!! Thank you so much for making this one! One of my groups has been doing these strats since the beginning, because we use the raidplan slides. But PF uses a completely different strat for Fusedown and Fusefield. I'm hoping that perhaps we'll see more raidplan (now can also be referred to as Joonbob) strats in PF soon. Either way, fantastic guides, as usual! :)

0:53 Octoboom Dive: MT directly under the boss, up against the wall the boss is on. M1 Left M2 Right OT south of the boss. All at max melee.
For tanks, hit invuln when Knuckle Sandwich cast bar hits the i in Sandwich.

also placements on the fusedown. I mean I'm usually melee so my spot I don't think would change with this either way, but it looks much different for ranged and healers.
i am SOOO looking forward to failing this mech all over again because people can't get their strats straight *sarcasm*
And fusefield. It's ALWAYS been TTHH MMRR CW from TN.
Why can't people just stick to one way of doing things? If it ain't broke don't fix it.

      @@userbunny14 im used to rmmr.
Back in P8S ranged would get first spot during snake prio while melee got second. So party 2 is clockwise from A, so ranged 2 would get first fuse that applies to them then melee. Hector's strat is pretty easy, though, since you only have 2 set markers you need to go to depending on who has short and long timers; same as this. But if my static had seen this method sooner, we likely would have preferred solving it this way to make it easier on the ranged/casters. Having the lone bomb North is an interesting method of resolving it.

@@Darkstrawberry15 The Hector Strat is easy, too, though. For example, M1/MT can look at the same two spots every time. Whoever has the short fuse goes to the first safe zone; then, the second long fuse goes to the other.
It's not really much thinking involved with either strat; it just comes down to preference, really. There are set locations every time with both strats.

      @smrqunofficial 5 дней назад +4

So are Hector's strats too complicated or are they too boring? And if you want no set positions, then do you think Joonbob's strat with set positions is also boring? And if you want options then why hate on Hector for having different ones?
To be clear, there's nothing wrong with having options, assuming they both have their own pros and cons. *This* option, however, is not very good compared to the alternative. Ultimately it resolves things 80% the same as the Hector strat, except during first fuses it crams both ranged together into the relative-south safe spot while leaving the relative-north safe spot empty for no good reason. Uptime is the same but the safe spots are smaller--it's strictly worse. As a H1 I was already ignoring this strat during week 1 and using the relative-north safe spot since nobody else was there.
Hector's not infallible, either. Switching the birthday cake prio from RMMR to MMRR was completely arbitrary and only confused things during the week his video dropped. Of course, I don't think trying to switch it *back* to RMMR will do PF any favors, either.
