Typically ( if there is such a thing), a well specified conversion with lithium, solar, leather etc will be in the region of £50,000. If we supply wheels, suspension upgrades, roof racks etc then it's likely to be more. There are so many variables, but a decent van spec plus conversion is probably getting towards £100,000 at current prices.
@@voyageadventurevans not looking at anything to high spec. What we’re using it for doesn’t require loads of kit. I like the finish on your vans and the fact you can get everything you require in the design. We’re not quite ready to get a van yet because of work we won’t get the use out of it but in a years time it should be different. We’re not looking for to much in it a sennas of space and being able to move about in it is more important. I’ll keep following and watching the channel and hopefully be in touch in the near future.
You will notice that the burner is situated towards the rear of the drawer, and this is the reason there is a stainless steel protector covering the area that would get most heat. The unit can only be used with the door open and has an external gas connection. Due to pot size, I agree, it would have limited use, however it was built to a specific request by the customer. I think it's only for boiling a kettle whilst sat outside😁
Just found your channel and very impressed by your work. Skillful craftsmanship in a well thought out conversion. Have you ever considered or been asked to include a Clayton Power LPS lithium based system in a conversion?
Hi Derek. We have been asked a few times, but unless you add extra power packs, the system probably needs a bit more size in terms of available amps. Also, you still need to add a solar charge controller. Most of our builds have 200A of lithium and a charge capacity of 60A. And often a 2000w pure sine wave priority sensing inverter. Doing it this way it would be very easy to add a 3rd 100A battery later on. Cost either way is about the same, but I think this way offers a bit more flexibility
We bought the blinds from 'Vanshades ' as a bare blind. (you could probably buy similar from many outlets), but these were cut to fit our openings. Then we made a 2 layer cassette to hold them in place from carpeted ply. It may be worth giving vanshades a ring as I am sure they wer developing a set for the Crafter.
That Truma heater install is very neat. Nice job.
Thanks Simon, definitely squeezed into the smallest allowable space. Your van is being moved into its workshop bay today😊😊....Proper work starts now.
That layout on a MAN 3.180 LWB 4x4 Auto with your swallow tail bed will be perfect for me Ed - awesome quality as usual.
Beautiful van Ed.... hope you and the family are keeping well.
Hi Paul, Thanks, All good here. Hope you are all OK
What a job you've done on that.
good work. Waiting in anticipation of the MWB van tour.
Coming soon!
Very nice job.
Outstanding.
Thank you John.
only 4 tires... is it strong? for this large vehicle... it should have 6 tires
hi. nice convertion, congrats!
where are the sliding windows in the bed-area from? locking quite nice!
cool layout
how about bathroom
Hello where did you take the shade for the windows thank you
I think this van was one where we made a custom surround to hold a van shades blind. To be honest it was a lot of work.
Looking to get a crafter and have it converted. Love what you’ve done with this one but roughly how much is a conversion like that cost

Did anyone test out that outdoor cooking area? That's a small drawer with a high drawer front. Not too many pots would be able to fit there.

Beautiful. Perfect. I will be ordering one soon ......but quick question.....Is this High Roof ? Or Super High Roof ? L3H2 or L3 H3 ?
How did you make the thermal blinds or were did you buy them?

Can anyone provide me with the name of the background song?
If you need it, its 'I am better off (Acoustic Version)' by Wildson - Epidemic Sounds.
@@voyageadventurevans thank you! love the video
I dont see the bath
My mistake. I unfortunately lost the footage. However, if you were to look at the washroom in the other van tour, it would be exactly the same.
It have toilet or not
Yes it does.
