In this video we make a van tour of an amazing Mercedes Sprinter Van Conversion that also has a bed lift!
Meet Cam and Em who made this awesome DIY sprinter van conversion. After trying a few different vans all over the world, they decided there were a few must have's including a high roof, hot water, and a bed lift so that they didn't have to make the bed to have a somewhere to sit!
The bed lift they decided to use is the Happijac Bed Lift system and having means they can sleep up to four people comfortably. It's a very practical peice of machinery indeed!
Benzson the Mercedes Sprinter van is a high roof, medium wheel base Mercedes Sprinter and in this van tour we take a look at the fine details of the conversion, the dining table that can comfortably seat 8 and see how the shower works.

@@Jimbothebarbarian thanks Jimbo. Not exactly sure what mine are out of, they were second hand on eBay, but I have seen similar folding seats in passenger Sprinters. I have seen them for sale on FB in the past when people are gutting their vans ready for conversion. There is also a company in Australia called TechSafe seating that make them brand new but that comes with a price tag

One of the best vans I've seen. I'd have a bigger sink (to be able to wash my hair and take a sponge bath)--fill that space--, but other than that, I'd prefer this build over any I've seen. (Also, I'd consider putting the fridge where the cupboards are above it and instead put drawers underneath because I don't like getting at a fridge near the ground in a confined space.)

Love this conversion, great bed and sitting area. Love the kitchen with the hot water. The extra seating is so versatile, the way it can be folded out of the way is fantastic.

Just love that bed configuration. And since you're sitting down at the table the lower ceiling is not a problem. In the rare event of having someone (or two) sleep over its a valuable feature. Just a flick of a switch and bed is all ready for you with a sizable two-bench/table system. Very impressive.

Awesome build. Got a swb transit with a rock n roll bed and a bunk behind for my.son but when beds down there is no living space so need and awning which works well when you're staying somewhere for a few days but not so good for a quick stop.
To fit all that in a mwb is really inspiring. Great job!

Very nice build out. I really love the bed system, great idea! Only thing is, I personally wouldn't want to shower outside but if it works for them, I guess it's ok.

Guess if you live in hot country outdoor showers feel a more natural option. Plus would reduce condensation issues in small space.

This is the exact build I want for my son and I. The Happy Jack system would work perfectly for us. I would make a spot for a toilet. I have to have a toilet. Also,somehow have a space for a litter box. There are a lot of nice builds out there, but this is the one for us. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

This is my favorite raised bed conversion. I wish they wld have shown the sofa converted to bed underneath. Awesome van build!

This is one of my favorites! I’m considering using their plans and making some tweaks. Like someone else said, I would want a larger sink, but would also want an under-mount with the removable insert-more counter space if needed. I would probably extend that area about 4-6 inches, as I don’t need that much space to get in and out and those extra inches of counter & storage matter more to me. Also, I would go with a narrower bed, so I could have cupboards in the back on each (or at least one) side. I would not to the extra travel seating (although it’s nice-I doubt I would use it), so again, more space. Love this though! Amazing!

That bed setup is impressive; it's not the first time I've seen it, but it is the clearest look. Between that, Murphy beds and fixed beds, it is nice how many alternatives there are to the make-up and make-down design. I like this design the best.

This is seriously one of the most amazing conversions I’ve seen on RUclips! You thought of everything and it looks so beautiful and neat and professional. Being able to carry 4 passengers and sleep 4 people, and have a shower and toilet etc, is amazing too. The bed is my fave!!

Great build. Love the look of this van and the cool and smart design of the bed. You just lose a lot of upper cabinet storage space tho, but some people don't need that space
Thanks J ZIM. When we have used vans with a pack up bed in the past we found the cupboards had to be filled with the bedding when it was packed up anyway. All our bedding and pajamas stay on the bed and are stored overhead. We just use the upper storage areas above the kitchen, passenger seats, and cab.
