    Do you have your Clickup connected to something like Google Calendar? If so, when you set the due dates (ex. recurring on Fridays), doesn't that block out the entire day unless you add specific times for start and end? That's one of the issues I've run into is I don't want a task to block out my entire calendar, yet it's a bunch of extra clicks to add in the times for each task.

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  3 года назад +1

      You are correct on the Google Calendar day blocking . Two solutions:
      1 - Schedule Task due dates in Calendar View so there aren’t extra clicks needed to set a time.
      2 - Use a secondary calendar for ClickUp tasks so it’s visible in your main account but isn’t blocking your availability.
      Do you think either of those methods might help? 😊

    • @GordonJohansen
      @GordonJohansen 3 года назад

      @@LaylaPomper The secondary calendar idea is what I do. I actually use one for personal tasks and one for home tasks in addition to my main calendar which is what I need for blocking off time and appts. Time blocks tend to be everything from paperwork, dentist appts, to playing a game in the evening. Home tasks are your "adulting" tasks and reminders for the family. Personal tasks might be things that I don't want others to see like setting aside time for birthday shopping or preparing for a surprise party. I haven't really used this one too much but thought it might be handy.

    One thing I feel like is still lacking is the ability to set up a personal knowledge base outside of a few docs. Maybe once folders are introduced that should get better but do you have any suggestions for company or personal knowledge management workflows within ClickUp? (Similar to say Confluence or Notion). I've tried using tasks as a "note" but it just feels like a gimmicky workaround /:

    How can I comment in a single occurrence of a reoccurring task (in ClickUp) without this comment populating EVERY occurrence of this reoccurring task? For instance, the reoccurring task is weekly payroll, but for one week only I need payroll not to include one employee. If you've already made a video about this, would you please link me to it? Thank you so much for your helpful channel!

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  Год назад

      There are a couple ways to do this! You can specify in the comment that it's for a specific date. Or, when you set the reoccurrence, be sure to deselect "comments." That will keep the comment on one specific task instead of being in the comment thread.

    Hi Layla, thanks a lot for your useful videos. When "Personal Workspace layout" is turned on in the settings, I found that in the Home, all the tasks that are not assigned to me are filtered out which is not really practical and a risk to forget about important tasks. I think that in "Personal Workspace layout", assigning tasks to Me each time is not really relevant and the assigning system should be deactivated by default because the core purpose of this layout is to be "personal". By casualty are you aware of any workaround to this?

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  3 года назад +1

      Personal Workspace should accommodate this, I agree! If it's not working for you, I'd suggest using Automations instead and set "Always assign to Me" for the Space(s) you use!

    Do you really talk so fast, or are you speeding up the video slighty, to save us time? At least as a non-native speaker, I need to pause often, just to let my mind translate and digest the content. So, it might be even more productive, to go slower. Other German friends, whom I've shown a video of yours, just give up watching due to speed.

      I do agree the term is new. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
