"No toner is going to make the hair white unless the hair is lifted past yellow." So basic, so true, yet so many people miss that. Your knowledge and attention to detail is awesome. Excellent result. Two amazing hunks!

And that is why some people will never get white hair because the structure of their hair can't handle so much bleaching to the point past yellow
You can never get truly white hair unless it grows out of your head. It will always look slightly yellow compared to real white hair. Even if you bleach it beyond repair.

2shadowcats2 this is what I’m here for! I can bleach hair to transition from color to color but I have no idea how to do a solid blonde or tone hair properly so Guy gets to teach me until I get in school
@@karleeweeg4998 Yes. That was my point. Guy has a better understanding of color correction than most instructors. To date, I have not encountered a single stylist who actually approached a color correction scientifically. It is one thing to learn the basics of what to do... but only a select few are able to fully grasp and explain the rationale properly. That is why most stylists wind up with yellow or orange banding when doing regrowth. It is tricky to know when to incubate with foils and how to blend into prelightened areas without causing banding or breakage.

Guy's #mydentity line is so awesome. He has alot of knowledge about the chemical makeup of the hair & his products are formulated so you get the EXACT result you are looking for! I also love how Guy sticks to using the same brand for all his work versus a bunch of different brands like some stylists do. He did this even before he had his own line. Also how he weighs out everything he uses. Consistency is key!!

That's hilarious!! Guy could certainly teach Brad a few things!! Brad is not very skilled as a colourist!!
Brad is a great guy, but he certainly needs more experience and needs to hone his skills when it comes to colouring and technique. I feel like if Guy were to train Brad or just in any way collaborate with him (like a teacher), that Brad would be amazing and perfect capable of doing amazing dye jobs.
Prin Ren TS I don’t agree brad is a great person. He doesn’t deserve the king guy to teach him. He sits there and makes fun of people as his whole channel when he can’t even do hair! Lol. Guy never ever puts others down even if someone has messed up hair he doesn’t talk down other stylists or his clients. Guy is very positive and brad is not that way
Ah-mae-ZING! I have natural gray and white, and get asked how I get it that color often. I've been asked if I'm my 9 year old's grandmother TWICE now, but mostly get compliments, and Joey's hair looks natural like mine. You have a gift, Mr.!

Peter Griffin no need to apologize....I'm naturally gray. I stopped coloring my gray 3 years ago, so I have my natural color now.

I do my hair myself, with the grays coming in I've went to a 30v bleaching, but did it twice in a row without protection and found within weeks my hair was just breaking off at the mids, so I watched your God blessed channel and learned the proper way to apply bleach to already bleached hair, with 30 on mids, 2nd 20 on roots after, 3rd then pull down with a 10 on to transition line, Guy you have saved my hair, this is the safest and most common sense way to retouch when going high blonde, and the olaplex of course! Love ya!

I love love love this color! I am almost there :) its been a process doing it myself! My profile pic was my hair like two weeks ago and now im like a level 8 gold blonde, with strips of platinum, i use coconut oil under bleach! But this week Ill use olaplex with a 30 vol developer and some bleach and then tone it the same silver platinum! Im so excited! Your videos inspire me so very much i just love them!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've never dyed my hair, but I find these videos interesting and calming. Guy seems so knowledgable and passionate about his job which is really cool to see especially because it shows on his final product. His clients' hair always look amazing and despite what I would think, it looks healthy.

Love the color! i really wish i was able to buy Mydentity for myself . I love the way you explain how to get the color you want so many people do not no that and some do not want to take the time to lift your hair right and will just do 40v 2 or 3 times and then they get mad when you complain that your hair is falling out.
