The fact that they comped Paul out of every single shot and replaced him with perfectly lit and keyed original footage of an impeccable Elmo puppet on a greenscreen...the title made it seem like this was just one of those videos where they hastily mask the character out and jam him into the scene. So happy I was wrong. See you all when this hits two million views.

This is actually a masterpiece! It's funny, but the editing is superb! The editor has true talent! Bravo! I actually even felt bad for poor Elmo. And the voice actor for him here is great! I absolutely loved it when Elmo said, "I would set it free! And give it kisses! And a Band-Aid..."! It was so funny and wholesome at the same time. Amazing. :)
Back in the 1990's we'd already had a pitch perfect Dune (1984) by David Lynch and there was originality and vision in Hollywood to produce original and inventive movies, by 2010 we'd lost all that and they'd hired woke kids only capable of remaking films no where near as good as their originals.
"Does Elmo have choice to not?" was wonderful, but I truly lost control to the laughter at the F EAR bit. I hope you do more of these, because this was wonderful.

Elmo couldn't finish the movie, so Timothée Chalamet had to step in at the last minute. Luckily we can still admire the original footage with Elmo's captivating and powerful acting.
Man i was so hyped for this movie, though very disappointed that my boy elmo was cut from the final version i really feel like he brought a lot to the story asking the mysterious yet forbidden questions like "Why do you have a blanket on your face" . Pure genius! I found myself in the odd position of having to explain to my wife why Elmo getting stabbed with a poisoned needle had me crying laughing.
Well, you didn't miss much, maybe wait till they're finished the trilogy and watch them all together. It's critically acclaimed, but, weird and boring. Tried to like it, but, I reiterate, it's weird and boring. For example, the bad guy has a giant insect pet the size of a dog, some head banger woman doesn't like it and wants it gone, so the shush it away. That's it. You never see this giant bug do anything cool or used for anything. When the hero is training to fight, something I'm sure he's done thousand of times, they literally explain how it works. (You have to stab slowly,not quickly, because of their shields). Out of place exposition. Maybe if they did a flashback to his first training session or something it would make sense, just too on the nose as it is.

And "the slow blade penetrates the shield" is an extremely common catchphrase in the dune universe. It's like saying "don't judge a book by its cover." It's not meant to be literally taught to Paul for the first time. It's just bringing that idea into frame.

I think this is one of my favorite things that's ever been made.. The level of comedy here is very, very, very high. And so good. It's a rare treat. Even the puppetry is wonderful. The part where he starts losing it at the end is pure gold.

Just incredible. Favourite part by far is when Elmo says the letter of the day with the word of the day; F EAR FEAR. His purposefully shown arm handles are a really nice touch too. Along with then being cindered from the fire. Please more Elmo replaces videos. Be with The Thing or Predator would be amazing.

Clearly, no offence meant Mr Chalomet, but you were miscast and this was a role meant for Elmo. Can we perhaps make him Grogu's best friend in the next season of the Mandalorian or is it possible that the cuteness overload would blow our minds? I laughed so much it brought tears to my eyes.
Or the scene from Star Wars where Luke Skywalker is training with backpack-Yoda on Dagobah. All sorts of opportunity for putting a Sesame Street character in place of Yoda.

Just incredible. Favourite part by far is when Elmo says the letter of the day with the word of the day; F EAR FEAR. His purposefully shown arm handles are a really nice touch too. Along with then being cindered from the fire. Please more Elmo replaces videos. Be with The Thing or Predator would be amazing.
I would do Elmo in the Thing during the scene where they test the blood. But have him be the last guy tied to the couch.
