    I know I canceled all this stuff because a lack of quality content, but also because they keep raising prices. I'd rather pay once for my favorites and own them on a Blu-ray.

    I think consumers have been "spoiled" by the lack of ads on these services, while simultaneously getting pissed off by the surge of ads elsewhere, like how RUclips's ads have become so aggressive, and the general spamming/scamming out there. So adding ads here may be the last straw and result in people leaving these services in droves. That's what I'm predicting. We'll see more people who sign up for a single month, binge, and don't come back till a year later when some new shows or seasons have been added.

    If I were Disney I'd keep Disney+ as a hub for all Disney content, and then lease out shows and movies to also be available on other platforms like Netflix/Apple TV/HBO, etc. This way you can double dip and have your own service + a sample of what you offer across other platforms.

    Personally I think if Disney plus doesn’t hold out before the end of the year they should do more of what they’ve done this September and October and put more of their classics on 4k like they did with Snow White and Cinderella

    After I take over Disney and usher in the Make Disney Great Again era, one of my first official acts will be to shut down Disney+ if it hasn't been already. Viewers will be required to go back to theaters and buying physical media or waiting for movies to air on TV. I will be making all decisions by asking "What would Walt do?" like management did after his death for decades, even if that results in a Disney that's frozen in the 20th century.

    A fractured market and oversaturation diluting the value offered, along with insulting moves like shoving ads down people's throat. They've been warned over and over again and just refuse to learn.

    My biggest complaint about streaming services is the removal of content. Especially when the service is adding awful replacements. Streaming has been nice, but I think I’d rather have something more consistent.

    Did disney make this video??, NO one likes commercials or advertisements in the middle of their shows, you can keep talking about increased profits all you like, but the main pull of streaming platforms was NO ADS, they just reinvented the TV except you have to play for all the services to get all the channels and shows SO IT COMES OUT TO BEING AS EXPENSIVE AS CABLE,

    • @nissan_skyline
      @nissan_skyline 3 месяца назад +1

      The main pull of streaming services is being able to access content on demand, not necessarily no ads. TV shows still play ads on streaming services unless you upgrade to ad-free.

    • @hellishcyberdemon7112
      @hellishcyberdemon7112 3 месяца назад

      @@nissan_skyline I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you didn't have Netflix in 2010 to 2022? They didn't have any ads on them, it was called a "flat rate plan" means you paid 7.99 for everything and had no ads, all these services added a "ad free option" after Disney or paramount added additional plans, you could watch anything on TV and it had ads and you paid for it, streaming is no different, sure you can pick stuff to watch but your still force fed ads.

    It's no great mystery why Disney+ and Netflix have both been going broke. They went woke. They canceled shows people loved and brought out things the majority of people just don't want. Netflix in particular was VERY stupid about canceling shows that had massive fan bases and continuing shows no one wanted. All to get that tasty ESG money, which isn't enough actually sustain their company in the long term on it's own. The woke agenda is simply financially unsustainable. Combine all that with the fact that Netflix tried to force people to use a specific browser or be held hostage at 720p in an era with 8k tvs and terrible customer service to top it all off. It was a recipe for failure.

      You don't understand difference between buying and renting. You can do with a disk a lot of things you can't do with a subscription. They can and will remove shows you like. you can watch blue ray during an internet outage. You can give the movie to your friend and let them watch it. You can watch it every year without paying another 13 dollars.
      So yea buying a thing makes it so you can actually watch it when you want to, instead of leaving it up to a chance. Cause let me tell you so many shows have gotten deleted...

      No it will not. Streaming will be outlawed as a medium in the United States and traditional media will be the law. When I take over Disney and make it great again I will shutter Disney+ if it hasn't been already. Everything will be done by asking "What would Walt do?" again like was the case after his death. I have never streamed anything and never will. Neither have my kids. To paraphrase George Wallace: "Traditional media today, traditional media tomorrow, traditional media forever."

    People want to buy Disney’s Content on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k especially if they yanked it off the platform. They have never released 5 Mile Creek Season 2 and 3 on DVD, one can only get those programs on VHS. One would think they would make a lot of money off those seasons especially those seasons showed Nicole Kidman’s acting debut, long before she was a star. Streaming is now not always a guarantee it will be there.

      I know they put out Mandalorian on BD and 4K; but these sets were crazy expensive. $50 per season. Sorry but I am not going to pay that much. $30-35 per season would have been reasonable, so I pirated it instead. They lost a sale because of their greed.

    I believed that Disney was cutting titles that had higher costs of residuals than the retention of viewers. This backs that thought process. Residuals are a problem for anything published online. Netflix does a great job tracking usage and residual costs, keeping a profit. Hulu to a lesser degree does the same thing, and is profitable today. Everyone else loses money. The others need to mirror Hulu and Netflix's budgeting model and make it work for them. This not only applies to Disney, but to Peacock, and to Max. Paramount+ is up for sale and it may not exist as their costs are way out of control (Star Trek is not cheap, nor any of their other titles with their small user base in comparison).

    • @BuggiEU
      @BuggiEU 3 месяца назад

      Netflix buys out residual rights upfront so the issue does not apply to them.

    There are a lot of info and reasons why Disney plus is not successful. Though Disney should know its not rocket science to know why they are losing. Actually hire good writers that focus on writing good stories that all fans like, instead of including woke stuff that make fans hate them. They made Marvel and Star wars fans hate Disney. New content in Disney plus is always about Marvel or Star wars, it's not enough to attract customers. Netflix is still dominant because it's constantly pumping out new shows and projects that actually interest people.

Even my couple of gay friends have dropped their subscriptions since the Disney+ offering are boring and not well received by more normal parents and grands - even those who are gay. Dis has cut it's own throat and continues to drag the knife across their jugular due to their promotion of activists rarther than normal thinking people. Disney is doomed.

    Disney is a product of their own demise. Let take the Star Wars series of shows. The quality of Star Wars has been deminished by Disney them selves and they fine them selves trying to dig out of the hole they created. Same goes for their Marvel shows, the quality of the shows are that bad, but they are not that good either. Star Trek on Paramount seems to have it together when it comes to impactful, high quality shows. Next flix is bring out new contant more ofter and people would be willing to pay.
