I remember the first time I entered Villa Volta with my elder brother and sister. I was actually scared because they told me it was a spinning house 🤣but they talked me into it. As a person who loves storys and storytelling I totally dove into this story, the ride, the atmosphere and most of all the beautiful and mesmerising music! Everytime it starts even with the slightest sound of the little drums in the beginning my heart skips a beat, my scalp prickles and goosebumps appear litterally everywhere you can imagine. When they made this, they did the world a giant favour in my opinion. Please tell if you come visit I'll gladly be your translator and guide👍
Villa Volta is one of my absolute favourites! As a child I was super scared of it and didn't want to go in, but when I was 10 or 11 I finally dared to go in it and I've been crazy about it since. The thrill is great and not too much, the illusion of going upside down is amazing and the music is STUNNING.
It's the best thing ever, and it's so deceptively simple. I like how as it starts up and builds up swing the gradual tilt in the seating also scales with it. You only tilt up to a little bit in total, but when the room rotates less then the tilt is a little less, so it all makes sense in your brain. I just love how well thought out the experience is.
The benches also move with or against the rotation of the room, so sometimes it feels like you're going to fall of and you can feel it in your stomach! 🤯🤪👌🏼 Unfortunately the video can give you that experience, so you have to come over, to feel it yourself! 😉🤞🏻✌🏼
You wanted to know why the Eftelings music belongs to the best music from theme parks of the world. It's a very good question. Might be a separate series to discover. Visit each and every tune presented in the Efteling in various video's and just give your feedback. Most would suggest Carnaval Festival to start with, but I'd like to recommend Fata Morgana as a starter since "Het Spookslot" (The Haunted Castle) has departed us recently.
The bombastic song and the background story in the pre-show is what makes this ride so iconic. I still get goosebumps just hearing this song. Didn’t they make a remix of it once? One other iconic moment was Kate Bush singing her then hitsong Wuthering Heights in the Spookslot. As a kid I thought Spookslot creepy AF, but I get that it unfortunately got outdated at a certain point. I also was really scared of the Fata Morgana. Not because of the puppets, but because back in those days they had a fake crocodile in the water which came up close to the boat at one point during the ride (I don’t think it’s there anymore nowadays). But as a kid that scared the shit out of me lol!
@@YvieT81 I remember that video as I was awed as a little kid by the spooky fantasy setting. Though I visited the Spookslot quite a couple of times, till now I never made the connection so thank you for sharing your insight.
To sum it up as short as possible, this ride is about a man (Hugo) who cursed by god after stealing from an abbey, as the legend says, Hugo saw an apparition (a woman clad in white robes with her eyes filled with fire) told Hugo "no where, not in any place in this world, not in your own house, and not even in your own heart shall you find rest or solace, not until he who is without sin enters your house" and then when you enter the ride, it simulates what it is like to be cursed by god.
The buck riders were thieves and cutthroats who made a deal with the devil to get flying magical goats as getaway mounts. But Hugo one day met a mysterious woman in white who cursed him to never rest. Kinda hard to rest when your house is a giant blender.
You mentioned halloween, walibi fright nights from walibi holland is the best halloween experience in the benelux and one of the best in europe. There are many videos online about it, but you really have to experience it for yourself :D
The first time I went into Villa Volta together with my sister, I could not believe what was going on. It was very exiting. I still like it, but the two pre shows take a little too long, once you know the story. If you like to learn more about theme parks I can recommend the RUclips channel Theme Park Worldwide. It shows very informative reports by a guy who himself works at a theme park called Alton Towers. So he knows what he is talking about.

It's an optical illusion, but you do rock very much. It's just not going all over the top. But it does go far. It's one of my favorites rides

Efteling hires an orchestra for each attraction to provide the music, usually from Brussels and usually also consists of at least 60 musicians

I love this ride. I always try to get my buddy in since I know he gets dizzy from it.

I work in the efteling and there is a plan to change villa volta in the future, just fixing some problems like that the preshow is only in dutch
en gewoon een speciale wachtrij zodat je de voorshows kan overslaan. ik heb Hugo ondertussen wel genoeg gehoord

I love Villa Volta. The sensation is amazing
What attraction is our favorite do you ask? I think it's hard to pick just one😅

Hello 🙋♂️from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
thanks for the video Highly .
Sincerely, Hollandduck🇳🇱🦆
Yea Wanne see that 😁
The Netherlands : tulips, windmills, Amsterdam and the Efteling 😉
And ASML. 🥳
You should do some reactions to the music on their own. The youtube channel "MrBeuLars" has archived nearly all the music the efteling ever produced
When shall I take you on a tour through the Efteling?
LOl your mouth is open 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
