- MusicRadar Basics is brought to you in association with Boss.
Recent years have seen the rise of the looper pedal. Popularised by the likes of KT Tunstall and Ed Sheeran, loop pedals enable you to record a phrase, then layer additional performances on top of that phrase.
Not only are they great from a performance context, but also as a developmental aid for practice at home and even to help you with your songwriting.
Common features of the latest models include stereo in and outputs, on board memory of up to 3 hours, USB connectivity for import and export of audio files and even an on board rhythm section.
Watch the video to see just how easy it is to get started with looping.

But, do you need a guitar for one of these?
Mike Corpsegrinder I don’t think so. I think a lightsaber would work just fine with them.
Nah dude cross console
No you just scream into it…
What if i want to turn off the loop? I mean if i action the pedal it will just stay creating loops and how do i turn it off?
Pretty straightforward question . Don't gotta be an ass.
@@spencerlebleu1501 what?
You play 1 loop at a time
Every time you step a second time it will reset the loop pedal and you will play another loop there are settings on the loop Peddle it help you adjust how many loops there are and several other things it’s quite complicated at first and I still haven’t fully figured mine out after a few months
Im.sold..i need one now.
Great no bullshit vid..thanks!
that funky guitar sound!
Would it be a stretch to play my bass through it then unplug and add a rhythm track with my guitar or am I looking for a different beast? I am a novice with pedals/equipment and want to be able to play all parts by myself
i would invest in a pitch or octave pedal. get the sound of a bass with a guitar. comes in handy.
Dude put a tutorial of that rift you played please its bloody sick
Super Hans?
Fuck yeah.
yes hahahahaha
I need this!
One question, does all the sounds come from the same amplifier?
Yup
So what attachments or connections do I need? Does it comes with all the attachments I need if I buy one?… Sorry Im new to this..
Talk about it all you want. Tell me how you hook up the chords
btsmchl one chord from the amp to the looper and.thencthe guitar. other chord in the mains socket
@@yoloswag6242 where can you get these cords? like if they don’t come with the looper itself
@@samanthafarace2233 most of the time, pedals come with the cords you need. If not you can just find them online for a few bucks probably
thanks for the video! can you recommend a few pedals?
Best and most usefull pedals are digital delay, looper, distortion, and WAH, but my personal favorite is bass synth wah
