- His 1976 album, "Frampton Comes Alive", was the biggest selling live album of all time until being surpassed by Garth Brooks live album in 1998. The single "Baby, I Love Your Way", is a radio standard.

This song makes me tearful and joyous at the same time. All of us seventies kids didn’t know what we had.
Such a true statement!
Eu curti essa música e curtirei eternamente.
Yes 🙌🏼
It reminds me of my 3:00 am paper route. Good times.
We didn't have an effin' clue. Makes me want to cry.
God I miss the color, the smells, the simplicity, freedom and music of the 70’s! That was the time to be alive!
Yes it was. I'd go back and even redo my 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, I go back and Stay.
My Gentle Pitt Bull sounds like magic, I’d go back and stay too!
I wanna make my own sundress again!😩❤️🎶🎶🎶✨✨
Agree 😅
You are right
God it was so freakin awesome to have been a teen growing up in the 70's....The music was absolutely stellar...This wonderful tune by the coolest rocker alive just swallows you up with emotion....Thank you Mr. Frampton.
Was also in my teens when this was on the radio. Doesn't it take you to a specific time and place?
There is no holding back the floodgates of emotion with this.
Yes! The seventies were the glory days for many of us. I don’t fit into this world in 2023

Nice to meet You God Bless You Amen
God I love this song Today I just reunited with my ex wife from my Navy days long ago! And we loved each other more than words but she couldn't handle my 3 mo away from her at sea so we divorced and tonight she walked back into my world after 30 years and this was our song and we danced to it once again! So awesome!! Ty Frampton! For this gold 👍

Me Too.
1977. We had a roof over our head and food in the fridge. Heat bill was paid. We had beds, blankets, and clothes on our backs. We were all together and safe. We had schools and hope for a future - that no one could take that away from us.
My dad provided all this.
Before this, we were dirt poor and didn’t even have enough food to eat.
My dad took us away from poverty and hopelessness.
Dont forget the 67 cent packs of smokes.
Ditto. What you said ❤👍
God blessed our dads
👍🇧🇷
Im 56 years old too and it takes me back to when I was 13yrs old in 1977. Such a great year!!
Yes, the feeling is mutual. Peace & Love ~ *Moonlight*.
My first concert in the summer of 1977.
🎶it really was😢🙏🏻♥️🇨🇦
I was 9 yrs old the summer of 1977 my cousin use to bring her battery powered radio and tune it to an am station and we had a nice swimming hole at the creek we would swim and listen to music remember this tune as well as boogie fever by Donnie and Marie Osmond was popular at the time as well.
I'm same age as you ...this was an awesome time ..the best music was 70s and 80s..🙂
I'm an old lady now, but this was the best summer of my life.
Great time to be 20 which I was, Such a great time for music.
So is for me....the summer of 1977 was the best summer of my life and this classic encapsulated it beautifully! -:-
Same here! Best summer ever!
1977 was the best year of my life so far! Really was! Nah! we are not old! I was in my 20s 1975-85. Thanks to God! here at the right time! Wasn't that music cool !977 rocked! Fleetwood Mac. Boston, ELO, Frampton, I could go on and on!
As far as I see 77/78 was the best time of my life. I had a great time in every way possible. I wish the same for everyone else
I was 16 .. now 57 .. came back home after 40 years ..my friends are still here ..we still party together but go home by 11pm ..back then that's when the party really started ..I love being 57 .. wisdom is priceless
but creaky joints and arthritis pain is NOT>
Sounds like fun, I wish I could go back home but everything has changed and the majority of my friends have moved out of town and my 4 bff 4 life all live in different states so it really sucks I'll be 54 in about 2 wks and have nobody to celebrate with besides my adult children but that's not the same I don't party with them I might have a drink or 2 or a beer but that's about it. Consider yourself blessed.🙏
Happy New Year's..

I was 16 years old as well. I really like this album despite it not selling as much as Frampton comes alive. Lotta great albums and music during that time.
@@hab9609 1963 was a good year
Peter was rushed into doing this album after the success of ' Frampton Comes Alive',- and yes- it's a very simple tune- but it's so heartfelt that you have to love it! Just an extraordinary musician!
I'd be honored if some Frampton fans would take a quick listen to my acoustic piano & vocal RUclips performance of I'M IN YOU

Truth is he coulda taken 3 years and he still was going against his own legend. His live album was a culmination of his career. This album was as good as any of the single albums he pulled his best hits from for that album.
It was a great time to be alive the 70s when people talked to each other instead of talking to your phone!!!
It was awesome!! I can't really think of anything I didn't like about the 70's!
absolutely. ...
Then in the 80's people started wearing wrap-around "I don't give a damn" shades, and it became progressively worse!
I have this song on a 45 rpm record!
???
My favorite Peter Frampton song. So beautiful that I cry happy tears.
The year my husband and I fell in love. We met in high school and this is our song. He was my 1st love. Were happily married, hes my everything. Funny thing his hair was just like this then. I love my husband very much! Danny I love you!!!!!
The guitar solo just carries you away....... beautiful song. The 70's were great!
Ithought they were great too

Diane Alfieri and it came out summer of 77
Out of my teens for the last years. It's so nice to be able to enjoy this music and have grown up with it rather than most of the newer music.
Diane Alfieri: from SETX?
Peter Frampton is one of the very first rock artists that i remember hearing on the radio as a kid... I'd be honored if some Frampton fans would take a quick listen to my acoustic piano & vocal RUclips performance of I'M IN YOU in tribute to one of the great ballads of the late 70s era. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital editing. Peace and stay safe in the '020s.
Some interesting facts, ""I'm in You" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and quickly went platinum, and its title track hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. But the album drastically undersold expectations, and Frampton's new pinup model status alienated his rock fans and supporters on FM radio. His career received another death blow when he starred in 1978's critically reviled Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie, beginning a decade-long commercial tailspin.

It's a party after high school graduation-I met my buddy's new girlfriend and they're playing Frampton tunes one after another. I barely graduated. No idea what I wanted to do next, except leave that little corner of hell. My friend says he's taking the girlfriend to the airport the following afternoon to meet her dad. Long story short, the dad was an airline pilot (and became like a second dad to me). We got a behind the scenes tour of airline ops, a look at the jet and a peek inside the cockpit. I nearly didn't go along that day, but sure am glad I did because it showed me what I would be doing the next few decades. Anyway we get in the car and it's Frampton on the radio, "I'm in You." I can't recall much about those years, but I remember the song I heard when I figured out what to do with my life.
Beautiful to never forget what inspired you to fly out of that little corner of hell. 🎶♥️🎶

"I'm in You" estava nas paradas de sucesso. Hoje, 50 anos se passaram , eu continuo bastante cabeludo e Peter já sem os cabelos, mas continua fera e encantando o mundo com sua voz e guitarra. Eu continuo seu fã, mas ainda não aprendi a tocar como ele. Valeu.

...then 'died' the following year, with the 'Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' movie. It felt like that movie killed many careers...with Frampton being the main casualty.
+Bloke_19xx agree
It sure didn't help the Bee Gees either. I had always thought disco killed the Bee Gees for a while. There was a time they were made fun of. I never understood why, so I guess it was the movie.
True...but surprisingly, Steve Martin, Alice Cooper, & Aerosmith survived...this movie certainly didn't hurt their careers. But you're right...the Bee Gees are still made fun of. After all, they 'started a joke', and people are still laughing. Cheers.
