- hello everyone today I am posting my second DIY denim Boots video on my RUclips channel I really hope this time that you will understand every single step.just want to say that my first video and wasn't the best edited or filmed, it was my first video on RUclips and I really I didn't know how editing programs work so it was very hard for me to create the video and it took me two days just to upload.now in these three months I learned a lot and I decided I really want to show you how I do my denim boots so that is why I'm doing the second video where I will show you every single step and explain every single step so you can achieve these denim boots once again I really hope you like my video and enjoy'

You should glue a piece of rubber on the sole...otherwise it could tear up walking outside. Loved the video, very helpfull

i would've hemmed the top to match the other seams, and reinforced the bottom of the "socks" with a sole so that you're not just walking around on the fabric.

I had a similar thought too before seeing your comment lol. My worry is that the more the bottom is walked on the more the denim might tear and then the socks are f*cked - but putting that to a side, this is an amazing tutorial! Very innovative!

holy crap this is exactly what i was looking for for a cosplay, the character has boots that go up past her knees to mid thigh and i was finding nothing online except for those really cheap looking pullovers, you have saved my costume!

just take her tutorials and use a hot glue gun in place of the sewing machine. everything is still the same, you're just carefully gluing the seams together.

Rolanda B I'd suggest fabric glue instead of hot glue
Fabric glue/e6000 glue not hot glue. Hot glue wont hold up on washing as well as normal wear. Hot glue also doesnt have flexibility and makes a very hard seam you can see through the fabric

I don't think so it's better to sew it on sewing machine then by hand but you can try ,the thing is the fabric needs to be strong so that you can put your heel through it

Hi. For your more complicated projects, why don't you just film normally and just make a part one part two or a part three, whatever would be necessary. That way we would be able to learn and follow better. :) that way you won't have to fast motion it nor try to squeeze everything into 10 or 15 minutes. Just post a few parts of the tutorial. Great job tho.
Karen Cas people don't find that interesting I have tried and it doesn't work, simply people are lazy to Watch two or three videos extra just to create a project that they wanted , so that's why I crave everything in one video sometimes my video can be 20 minutes but at least I have everything in one video

so what if I wanted to do these with flat tennis shoes
I haven't done with the flat shoes but you can definitely try ,also be aware that the flat shoes are Bending in many angles for example at the front so you will have more wrinkles I hope I answered your question 😊

If you make little mounds at the bottom using a glue gun, you could have a slip proof base

Would this technique work for heel-less shoes? I'm making some cosplay hooves for a friend(as she's cosplaying Soraka from League), and I need to use fake fur until it goes just over the knee.

LynseyRose Yes but You don't make holl for the heel ! You sew the hol botum peace ! I prefer elastic fabric very important

So darn complicated. Too many pieces... Alot of sewing... can I just glue this parts together to an old pair of boots that I dont mind messing up?? Would it have the same results, kinda? 🤔

Yes but they look sloppy and bad. 99% of the tutorials are like that and don't look good up close, like hers. Only far away.
This maybe pushing it but is there a way you can give us the measurements for adding a zipper.
Taija S yes. Since I have worked with a fabric that contain a lot of elastic I didn't need to sew on the zipper but if you work with a fabric that doesn't contain elastic you should probably sew on a zipper
