I've been riding my cannondale for 20 years and never had creaking
Ha ha ha ha ! Nicely done !
nice video George, my favorite cannondale bike is the caad 10 model, I guess I would never get used to new tendencies in road bikes, I enjoy a lot this kind of videos about vintage bikes
Right on! I love the CAAD 10! I shot a video about it. I owned a CAAD10 years ago. Great bike. Thanks for watching!
Love seeing all the bikes that come through 😍
All bikes need love ❤️
Thanks George, looking forward to the finished result.
You and me both! Thanks for watching!
Cool bike! Can’t wait to see the final result!
Me neither!
Looking forward to seeing the 'after'. Cannondale do make a nice crankset it has to be said.
You and me both!soon enough!
❤ My Tarmac bb only creeks when I ride it! ❤ My 93' Spec Epic Allez 68 bb has NEVER creaked. 31 years. Its a nylon (Plastic) bb shell, most importantly , threaded.
That is awesome! 😂 thanks for watching!
hard to see such a nice bike in this condition. I try to keep my stuff in top shape, I know everybody does not though. I had a 2013 evo, amazon bike. Had to get rid of it. It would fix MAX a 23c tubeless in the rear. 23c tubeless tires are very hard to find. I had to move on.
Token ninja BB, TBT variant makes a difference for longevity and smoothness 👍🏽. I have one on my Trek Domane and even though I'm the "exception" , I'll be installing one on my caad13 bb30.
Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
I had two different bb30's replaced them with the wheels manufacturing bb's problem fixed
Yep! Praxis BB are also very good
❤
I have hi-mod Supersix Evo x2 and I'm the creaking exception on both :)
ha ha of course you are! But trust me as a shop owner/mechanic and owner of this bike I was servicing/replacing BB's OFTEN! But so glad you don't have to worry about it. :-)
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad I think the creekers are a small percentage. But I get it, when you're a shop owner/mechanic, those are the ones you're going to see most often.
Also, the next gen of the Supersix (the changes were subtle) will take a 28mm tire on a 28mm external wheel. If you ever get one, I'd hold out for one of those. I'm pretty sure I could even safely go 30mm. But since my wheels are 28mm, there's not much point.
I have one of those bikes and it’s utterly perfect.
No creaks from BB - on 2nd set of BB bearings since 2016.
I ride a newer disc brake Evo now but these older ones are soooo good to ride…
They happily accept 28mm tyres…
@@dominicbritt I'm lucky enough to have a Hi Mod Dura Ace from 2019 (last year of the traditional frame), and a 2022 which of course is disk brake. Love and ride them both.
@@CrabgrassFarmer Nice! What years would you say can fit a 28-30 tire? I have had an alert on eBay for Super Six Evo.
28 tires fit np
Did this generation cannondale have the funky dish on the rear wheel?
I'm not sure. I will ask the customer what year this model is.
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad thanks! I’ve heard cannondale wheels are dished differently for that Ai system which can make upgrading wheels a sticky situation.
That generation Supersix can take up to 28c tires
Thank You for the intel!
