    I think a large part of the things you mention - are what makes me wonder if I will continue to talk to said biker, or just ignore them. It speaks to credibility.
    Most people don't understand rev matching - I rode a long ways on a broken clutch cable last fall (video on my my channel) by shifting through revs - just like rigs - which I can do as well.

    I've never heard that about sports bikes. There are a ton of them in my city. I think laying it down was an option way back in the day. But there's no need to do it now with modern bikes.
    Bikes are just louder, so people actually here the downshifting. Where I live I can always hear the sound of my people lol.

    • @KODEGREY
      @KODEGREY  Год назад

      Yes, mainly in RUclips videos. But I have had one guy say that to my face.
      I pulled into a store parking lot and this guy says..." I don't see why you young guys like to ride around on those Sport Bikes, their uncomfortable. And their just a race bike anyway."
      He was surprised to see the grey in my hair when I took my helmet off! 😂.
      All I replied was.." Not as uncomfortable as you'd think. And as long as you're responsible, the bike doesn't really matter."

  • @EpicAdamMotovlogs

    I have said that some bikes should be taken on a track so the rider can test their potential.
    I've never heard anyone say they have to lie it down.
    It's not illegal to get to the speed limit fast & revving is fun. Smaller vehicles also look like they are going faster than larger vehicles.

    • @KODEGREY
      @KODEGREY  Год назад

      Completely agree Adam!! Some bikes should be tested on the track and not the road. You just have to remember to be responsible while you're on the road.

  • @NooBiker

    When I come to a stop at lights, I use brakes only, then block change at the end with only one release of the clutch at the end. "Brakes are for slow, gears are for go"
    What really annoys me are "w-anchors" rev bombing

    • @KODEGREY
      @KODEGREY  Год назад +1

      I used to do the same for my first 2 years of riding. Then I decided to try and learn Rev matching. Found out I liked it.
      Only thing is when you do it, you have to remember to tap your rear brake to make sure the people behind you can see your brake light. Otherwise the won't realize you're slowing down.
      W-anchors that Rev at a complete stop are very annoying!!

    The laying it down line is an excuse people make when they crash, just to save face. Actually intentionally putting a bike down is not so easy. I have never once been asked about rev matching, even when I rode a loud bike. I think people asking you are asking about the annoying habit some riders have of revving the throttle while stopped and sitting at a light.
