- In this final video you will learn how to sew on the goggles and all other features of this beanie including the hair, and smile. I will also show you how to #crochet the one big eye if you want to crochet the 1 eye minion. This beanie uses only basic stitches to create. You will need to use a medium weight yarn. I used RedHeart supersaver in solids colors; Brilliant yellow, white, black, brown and gray.
Below is a suggestion for hook sizes. Remember each person crochets differently.
Hook size suggestions (remember everyone crochets differently).
Infant- Size G Hook, Babies Size H hook, Toddler Size I hook.
To crochet a beanie for an older children/ teens and women ; use a size J hook and a medium weight worsted yarn. Also work round 4 as follows: Ch 3, dc into next 3 st, *2dc, dc in next 4 st*, repeat from * to *, work 1dc in last 3 st, sl st into 3rd ch.
For Men you can use a size K hook. Also, you will work round 4 as follows: ch 3, 2dc in ea st, sl st into 3rd ch.
The pattern is almost the same for all sizes. Only the size of hook and round 4 changes. This makes this the perfect beanie pattern for all sizes. From Baby - adult size.
well as the 1 eye minion. Happy Crocheting.
Written English pattern is available for purchase for only $3.50 at my ravelry store:

Thanks Yolanda, for taking the time to teach us. You are a great instructor and I love all of your tutorials. Will make one for my grand daughter I'm expecting in December.
Thank you Yolanda!! I made the Minions beanies and your tutorial was great. My mami sat next to me and helped me make them for my nephews. You are awesome!!
I made the one-eyed minion hat along with a matching pair wristers for my friend and gave them to her for her birthday.Thank you so much she loved it!
Hi Yolanda! It's been years since I wanted to learn how to crochet and last week I finally got my supplies. I watched many videos on RUclips and became very confused until at last I found yours. I found it extremely easy to follow everything you did. This minion beanie was my first ever crochet project and it turned out AMAZING! Thank you for outlining each step clearly and concisely. I'm excited to watch more of your videos and create more wonderful pieces!
How could people dislike this tutorial? I think its amazing! My 14 year old daughter wants me to make this hat for her :D thank you for this video. You are an AWESOME teacher!!!
Darling you are my mentor. I made the one with 2eyes and my 22years old daughter loved it. I also made the other with one eye to my 7 years niece and it was magic ti her. Thanks a million for your videos. They are so helpful.
Hey his smile is on wrong!! LOL Your funny 😆 Love your videos thank you Yolanda 🙏
I learned to crochet by watching you...You are awsome and do great work...I have already made 2 baby sweaters and now working on this hat for my grandson! Keep up with the great tutorials....
Thank you Yolanda...I did both and I'm very happy...also I want to thank you because it was one of your tutorials that I watched and learn how to make beanies.
I did it! Thank you for this cute hat. I am a beginner and I was able to make this for my granddaughter. I had to stop and "rewind" several times, but I did it :) Thank you again.
To thread your needle fold the yarn. It helps me. I am just about to finish the final touches of the Minion hat with two eyes. Thank you for sharing, Your video has been most informative and easy to follow.
I made two of these, for both of my grandsons, one with two eyes, and the other with the one big eye. A little hint for threading needles, is to fold the yarn over and pinch the yarn tightly... it goes through the needle much easier. But thanks for the pattern, they are both adorable!!
Yolanda, I just watched your videos for making the Minion Beanies. They are so cute! I have a trick to share you can try if you like. When threading a yarn needle, wrap the end of the yarn around the eye of the needle then pinch the yarn tightly. While still pinching yarn, slide the needle out. You can then push the pinched end of yarn through the eye, skipping all the spit and fraying and frustration trying to get the yarn in smoothly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent!
I made this and gave it out as a gift. Came out so cute. Keep making these adorable beanies. I enjoy following you and making them as we'll. thx Yolanda.

Love it great Christmas gift idea for my niece and nephew!
Presioso gorro Yolanda como siempre soy su segidora me encantan sus videos otro proyecto para navidad.Gracias que Dios la bendiga.
I love your video tutorials! You are really a great teacher. I do have one idea that might help you thread your needle to make it easier. If you will fold the yarn and thread the folded part through the eye you won't have the yarn separate. :) Hope that helps. And keep the tutorials coming!!! You're AWESOME!
Exelentes tus explicaciones.sos muy buena maestra me gustan muchisimo tus trabajos.gracias

No, you're not the only one. I hate sewing in the tails as well. I usually save the tails for last because I hate them so much and then I absolutely regret doing that.
Gracias por tus enseñanzas me encantan he hecho varios mostrus para mis nietos, encantado son maravillosos y apesar que no domino el idioma los he podido hacer. felicitaciones explicas muy bien .
I made it and it's gorgeous! Thanks for the tutorial!!
Yolanda yo uso un pedacito de papel dobladito a la mitad para enhebrar la aguja, sin fallar a la primera cada vez!
For people that had trouble with the smile, I just made a chain the length that I wanted the smile to be and I stitched that onto the hat. . .very simple!
me salieron hermosas gracias por su tiempo que dedico en este proyecto tan detallado

Can you do like a ripple stitch tutorial or like an afghan wave one. I really want to make a blanket with that mind of stitch! Thanks:)!
Hi tk you I made this hat my son loved.
I want to make for a three year old wee boy, would I be using a J hook? Thank you in advance for your response and also for sharing your cute minnions.
hermoso trabajo me encanto felicidades
This is sooo cute!! Siempre quise saver hacer algo así
Would love an evil minion one from you!
I used craft glue on inside of hat to secure my hairs so they don't come out. also something i learned from previous completed items when using a magic circle, to secure it by tying it off. in washers they do come undone when not tied and to a person who don't crochet they wouldn't know how to fix it like we would, thanks for sharing tutorial
