There is another reason, I think he would want to go back to his thinner build. CLOTHES. Clothes look better on a slimmer build, and for branding reasons, he would definitely have more options in representing a brand. There is also the fact that Tae might just like his thinner, ethereal-looking face and slimmer body more because of his love for high fashion and chic clothing. He wouldn't want to give that up. Most importantly, for modeling purposes and photo shoots, his thinner build and face is the ideal. No one can beat his more gentle masculine look, and bulking up may not fit his ideal look anymore.
