Access Means Options | A Short Film On Accessible Technology

Access Means Options is a short film coproduced by Cornwall Disability Alliance, Screen Cornwall and Falmouth University, created for TECWomen’s Ctrl Alt Del_ Summit in February. Ctrl Alt Del_ is a one day summit bringing the tech industry and communities together to explore what an accessible and inclusive future looks like and the role technology and innovation play in getting us there.
Access Means Options discusses the importance of working with people living with a long-term health condition, disability, sensory condition or neurodivergence when designing and producing accessible technology. We worked with Falmouth University School of Film and Television students to make the film and help turn the testimony we received from people with lived experience into a narrative to help others understand the all important phrase ‘nothing about us without us’.
