I'd like to get a more in-depth video of the differences. Especially, what can you do with the Ninja Grill that you can't do with the Ninja Foodi? Thanks
Love that you stressed it was YOUR opinion and that you weren't advocating neither, just what you think and what works for you. It's just not enough Honest common sense people talking these days...I was impressed with the person you are....thanks for being REAL.
Thank you!! 😊 I try to be honest I can be-its not like. these appliances are 50 bucks and you can purchase them all. Even 50 dollars for some is a lot of money and me personally I don't like to spend money needlessly. people should do their due diligence-read, watch and research before a purchase no matter what the item is. I really appreciate your comment-that you. Darryl!
I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.
Thanks for a great video. I bought a Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 that air frys and grills as well as pressure cooking and steaming and much more. It steams sushi rice perfectly. I don't grill or fry very often. The 9-in-1 also has a yoghurt , dehydrate and saute function and that's a winner for me.😀
I'm going to get the foodi 8at and and the grill but I'm wondering if it's worth getting both? The higher temp for decent grilling on the grill sounds great but would buying the grill be too redundant? Do you use both equally? I'm going to keep my instanrpot as well so if the grill doesn't really add full uh ncriinalitt I might as well not buy it
@@hijabihomegirl6797 To be completely honest I use the Grill the most. But I like having Bothe foodi and grill-I can do a protein in the Grill. and the sides in the foodi. But if you have the instant pot I would start with the grill. But think about what you cook in your kitchen-if you prefer air crisping or. would you use the pressure cooking function more. Thanks HorrorShow Hijabi!
Wow thank you for being honest. I have the all but I got great sales on everything. You're right about the Foodi and Instapot I use both for my cooking and it's works great for me. Many blessings
Everyone has to make up your mind about what they need and how much they want to pay. As much as my love of kitchen gadgets has defied all explanation, I was not sucked into the Foodie universe until I looked into the features of the grill during our present lockdown. The pressure cooker Foodies are just too big. The grill is more compact for what it does and does not compete with my 2 sizes of IP. I have not had any problem with smoke and love the mesh covering over the top heating element. Clean up is easy. Meats never really cooked well for me in a air fryer but I love everything I have cooked on this grill . Just my 2 cents on the Foodie Grill but I love it and am happy with my purchase.
I am a kitchen gadget addict ( I have a gourmia instant that I love ). I already had an old air fryer which I wasn’t loving the basket. I just bought the ninja grill because my family loves grilled kebabs, chicken, burgers, etc. I do still love my instant pot for soups, stews and irish oats). I don’t want to get rid of my instant pot because I want to keep them separate. Grilling and air frying I could do toghether. I was debating the foodi pressure cooker but I do not like the lid or even the new smart lid. Thanks for sharing all the options! I can’t wait to try the grill 😋
My opinion is that if you are looking for one, and don't have either. The Ninja Foodi with TenderCrisp should be the first choice. I believe it does everything the grill does and a whole lot more! It has a smaller surface area, but the benefits it has over the grill more than makes up for that.
Excellent opinion! Going by your RUclips name if you are a pepper this appliance would be excellent as long as you could power it. It would work great with dehydrated foods. and quick as well. I may have to try this as I have a ton of dehydrated items in the basement. Or make meals then dehydrate them for storage and backpacking. Thanks Ohio Prepper!
I am still on the fence. I currently own the ninja foodi With pressure cooker. I am looking at the ninja foodie grill. My cooking lifestyle has changed tremendously since starting the keto lifestyle. I no longer make soups, rice, pasta etc. I primarily grill or broil meats, chicken, I do make chili once in a while. I’m just trying to decide if I can still get everything I want to do with the regular ninja foodie rather than the expense of the extra foodie grill.
Depends on how much you want to cook at one time Marva. I think you could get by with the foodi unless you want leftovers however you could just do several batches- not sure if your meal planning. Hope this helps.
@@pressurecrisp Thanks so much. This really does help. I think I am going to go ahead and stay with my foodie pressure cooker as I have limited space. I really don’t need to fix for a whole family it’s just me.
I would recommend the Ninja Foodi. The Ninja Foodi 6.5 qt for a small family about 4 people depends on the eaters, 8qt for larger families. As for grilling, there is a Grill Plate sold not by Ninja that will fit in both sizes. I made hamburgers, steaks they all came out great.
Hi I'm on the fence on which to get but if the foodi grills too I think that will settle it but i have a question about size. For me I would get the 6qt but can you cook small amounts in the 8 qt just as well? So then when family comes I could cook more.
I have a crock pot pressure cooker it slow cooks , make desserts ,soups stew, brown sauté, etc just not air crisp? So I bought a ninja foodi grill .. I love the ninja foodi grill both my units are fantastic .. I hope this is helpful? As to buying which units .. thanks
Totally agree Kim if you have an instant pot or some other cooking device and want an appliance that air crips/.air Frys definitely get the Grill. Thanks Kim!
Of course the one that also pressure cooks because I’m using my pressure cooker right now and I will use the oven in the ninja foodie when I am finished with that to cook my chicken enchiladas
If you have a Ninja Foodi, get the Sear & Sizzle from Grill/Grate or the Lodge 7.25” cast iron serving pan. That way you can get the sear marks on your food or that nice cast iron sear/crisp. If you have a 6 quart Instant Pot, other than the few listed as not compatible, get the Instant Pot air crisp lid ($80). If you don’t care about the cost, get bot Ninja Foodi and Ninja Foodi grill.
@@1capegirl1 360 meal is where you cook everything at the same time-usually using the pressure cooking function. The Ninja Kitchen recipe book has a few recipes for doing this. I tried them several. times and just wasn't impressed but this is my opinion. Others have made them and enjoyed them. Thanks Em!
@carl bradford jr Does Lodge make grill that fits into the ninja's? I know they have a flat round. If you have a link please provide so I can check it out. Thanks carl!
What do you think about the ninja SP101 Oven? I'm interested in cooking healthy meals. Roasted/air fried veggies and chicken. I just ordered an 8qt foodi, do you think the oven is worth it? Thank you!
You can do if in the 8 qt. If it’s only for 1-2 people. If wanting larger quantities then go with the oven. I get more use out of the larger oven but I use it for roasts, baking etc…
Hi I'm on the fence on which to get but if the foodi grills too I think that will settle it but i have a question about size. For me I would get the 6qt but can you cook small amounts in the 8 qt just as well? So then when family comes I could cook more.
Hi Cathy. Yes u can cook small amounts in the 8 Qt the difference between the 6.5 and the 8 is height not width(so it’s deeper) so I have been able to cook 8 oz of pasta and even 4 oz of pasta just to give you an example. In regard to cooking the smaller amounts of pasta always use 2 cups of water as the 4 oz of pasta will not cook correctly and you will have to strain/drain the 4 oz of pasta. Hope this helps! Thanks Cathy!
If the grill only hears from the top - can I use it to press sandwiches like the George Forman grill which heats from top & bottom? Looking for something that can do that plus air fry & dehydrate.
Helpful vid, I'm looking into buying the grill, but then realised the multi cooker does it all, however I already have an instant pot, so was debating over selling my IP and buying the Ninja multi (so 1 appliance to do it all) but your vid has helped me to decide keep the IP and buy the Ninja grill too.
I got the foodi grill and am excited about product that contains smells when grilling, hope this works! What do you think? I am considering using it outside, if it will not contain odors.
I have a Ninja Foodi, do you think I need to buy a Ninja Grill to do meats (grilled)? Or I can do the same with the crisp function in my Foodi? I am confusing if the functions grill and crisp deliver the same results... thanks!
Hi Malu, you can do the same meats in the ninja foodi. Benefit of having both are you can grill meat in the grill and do a side in foodie. OC course using the foodi will not give you grill marks but you could get a grill grate for your foodi. Hope this helps.
This is the topic I was looking for and thanks for the honest opinion! I bought the Ninja Foodi Max Health Grill and Air Fryer. Now I bought it as it was on special offer and have heard its quality of grilling and air frying is exceptional from relatives that have purchased it. However, with this unit you cannot pressure cook and I want to try some stir fries, soups etc. So here is my dilemma. Do I purchase an instant pot or a ninja foodie for the pressure cooking facility? Thanks
you never mention how it grilles so as to compare, the whole idea of getting a grill is to grill, but need to know if other functions such as air fryer benefit to getting this grill.
I cannot compare it to another indoor Grill as this is the only one that I own. To be honest it cannot compare to an outdoor grill as they are two different items. However I. live in upstate NY and it is perfect for winter grilling indoors. I also believe this is just my personal opinion that the Grill cooks quicker than the Foodi, also the temps go higher. And the cooking area is larger than that of the Foodi.
Hey, what’s better for air frying in terms of size whilst maintaining quality? I got the ninja air fryer but the crisper try was too small for a family of 6 so I got the ninja Foodi pot 6L but once you put the crisper tray in it’s also the same size as the ninja air fryer, I’m just confused what’s value for money whilst getting a bigger size? Am I better of getting the ninja air fryer Max, the ninja Foodi grill and air fryer as it’s quite big or the Phillips air fryer XL which has a fairly large tray size
For a family of six I would go. for the biggest air fryer. I have the Grill and it can accommodate 3 large chicken breasts but would require to batches of chicken for a family of six. I. don't know anything about the Phillips air fryer but it sounds like it would accommodate for a larger family and as you. already have an. air fryer you could do a protein in one and another item/side in another. Hope this helps. But if you could I would go look at each of the air fryers to. see just how large they are.
Pressure Crisp what’s the size of the base of the crisper tray for air frying if that grill? The ninja air fryer af100 is only 20cm in diameter, Phillips XL is 22cm width x height, I’m still trying to find out the size of the ninja air fryer max basket
Hi, love your video. I’m thinking to buy one for partner for Christmas and I’m not sure. She loves cooking her meat and vegetables so I’m not sure if i should take the grill one or the pressure one. I know is very personal choice but what do you recommend me ? Thanks a lot In advance
If someone already has an Instant Pot than would it be better to buy the Foodi Grill to go with the Instant Pot, or would it be better to buy the Ninija Foodi?
If I had the instant pot I personally would go with the grill. It has a larger cooking area for air crisping. You won't be able to do large roasts like the Foodi but you can still do a. decent size roast. Hope this helps Daniela!
So I've been thinking between the instant pot ninja foodie in the ninja free girl and you do a good demonstration because I'm gearing more towards the ninja Fuji grill because I would be grilling more than soups and stews So that's the one I probably should get i live bomber self though I'm limited on space because I'm estudio in i just started the keto diet so a probably use the grill part more often can you also deep fry in it?
Hi Laura-the grill would be great for the Keto diet-you can do a protein and veg together and make. extra. for other meals. Yes you can air fry in the grill. Thanks. Laura!

Hi Lisa, that was a great and very thought-provoking video and I really did learn a lot, for a start, I didn't know that it was the depth of the 8 Litre not the width that makes it larger than the 6 Litre or that you could get a whole turkey in the 8 Litre or that the Ninja Foodi cooks from below and above but what I didn't understand was what you meant by 360 meals. Thanks for posting pop-it.
Hi David! The 360 meals are the meals that can be made all at the sometime usually pressure cooking. The Ninja Foodi cookbook has a couple of them in there. I have tried them and they never seem to work perfectly-well the way I like them. I'm very particular about rice-lol. and you know I don't care for certain pressure cooked meats. Maybe I should make some videos on this subject-my parents dogs will eat well-lol. the Ninja Foodi Digital air fryer oven also does the 360-meals I haven't tried any yet. Sausage making tomorrow-took the day off from work. Wish me luck! Haven't made sausage in a year-lol. Still not sure what kind-lol. Thanks David!
@@pressurecrisp Thank you Lisa, can you just confirm to me please that you don't have the "Ninja Foodi Digital air fryer" do you as I have just been looking at that on Amazon and we can get that over here and I am soon going to need a new AirFyer can you recommend them?
The Ninja Foodi Digital air fryer- I have been using/experimenting with it. Makes great cookies, pizza, calzones-"cow-zones", bagel, toast, they have a 360 meal cookbook as well I haven't tried to do any yet. I wish it was higher-able to fit in higher pans/food. Like a large/deep dish of scalloped potatoes.Ninja May come out with a different one next August as that seems to be their month for putting out new products. I would look at Breville as well. I haven't used it or have one but a friend does and she loves it. Thanks David.
I am interested in finding an air fryer that I could use especially for vegetables. I am a vegan, I already own and use an Instant Pot. I am considering the Ninja foodi grill, but I'm wondering if you think it air crisps well and has enough space for lots of veggies. I would also use the grill function. I'd probably have to store it on a shelf near my counter and move it to the counter when I want to use it. Is it ridiculously heavy?
I just weighed it theist I could it weighs about 20 pounds-I don't find it heavy (religious about my 100. pushups against the counter-lol) The Grill air crisps very well-better. tenth foodi as the item that is cooking is closer to the heating element. Now size-how many vegetables do. you grill/air crisp at a time? The deeper the layer of veg the longer it takes to cook and brown. If I'm doing zucchini strips it will hold about 5-6 depending on the width. I did roast vegetables root veg-butternut squash m carrot, parsnip and sweet potatoes-you can get a decent layer in there but will have to. stir every 8 minutes. If I'm doing zucchini boats it holds about 3-4 but at usually depends on the size/width of zucchini. If you are able go to Kohl's, Sams, Walmart. and check out the Grill. Hope this helps. if you have any more questions-ask away! Thanks Graham!
@@pressurecrisp Thanks! I appreciate your quick response. Overall, do you find the foodi grill a worthwhile purchase or do you think there are plain air fryers that would be just as good? I keep changing my mind about whether I need this or not. I own lots of appliances and use them all, but my husband and I eat a lot (vegans eat lots of veggies) and I've also read that air fried tofu is delicious.
@@grahamforeverinmyheart594 To be honest the only air fryer that Have experience with is Ninja. Have to agree air fried tofu is tasty ! I would go look at them you can purchase the Grill use it and see if you like it-if it doesn't meet your needs you. can always return it. Ninja is coming out with a new Grill that is supposed to be a bit larger won't be available until tomorrow-well the preorder date. I plan on purchasing this Grill and do a review and will compare the new to the old Grill.
I've got the Ninja grill, I've Done lamb chops and they were great, I've done steak and that wasn't to good, but I'm a complete beginner with it, Can I cook chips and steak together in it and get good results, golden chips and a medium steak?, any ideas would be welcome. thanks
What you have to do is figure out the times of your foods-chips for example usually take 20-25 minutes at 390F a steak-depending on how you like it-for me it is usually 12 minutes(variables are thickness and the way you like it cooked). Grill HI. But I usually cook a steak at a higher temp than chips. But I haven't tried cooking chips on Grill HI- think I totally confused you.
Thanks for this video. I have an Instant pot and the ninja foodi grill. Love them both and use them both. However, we are in an RV (for travel) and to reduce weight and space we are having to decide if Ninja Foodi 9 in 1 is better or not . decisions, decisions ...
💕 Hi. I have an 8 qt Instant Pot, so I don't really have any interest in the Foodi. I'm looking for grilling indoors, making fries & potato wedges, etc. I was stuck because there seem to be several Ninja Foodi Grill's that do that ! Can you help me ? I am on a strict budget & need something that's priced reasonably. Thank you so much ! ♥️🙋🏻♀️
I would get the Grill that I have- able to find on sale for 150.00. I haven’t seen it cheaper than that. It comes with air crisp basket only- other accessories can be purchased either on Amazon or direct from Ninja Kitchen. Also you can use a wired or wireless thermometer- they can be purchased from any big box store of Amazon or maybe you already have one. Always check your kitchen cabinets to see what you can use in the Grill. Hope this helps D lee!
@@pressurecrisp Ok, thank you for your reply ! I'll have to figure out the best deal for my budget. If the one for $150.00 only has the air crisper, I'd still end up needing more just to make a steak, wouldn't I ?
@@DLee1923 the one for 150.00 has all. the functions-it doesn't have all the accessories and the thermometer. The functions are air crisp, bake, roast, dehydrate, grill. I think there isa a model that does not have the dehydrate function.
I'm have decided to go with the George Foreman dome grill and the Ninja deluxe cooker. I like steamed vegetables and rice, which I will namely use the Ninja for. To keep my skills up, I feel better cooking everything else on the stove top oven ranges. But the features are nice to have. You gave out great information👍
You go girl lol. I love your sense of humour Lisa & I'm sure that you were saying that to Ninja tongue in cheek lol. Maybe Ninja kitchen do watch you. I love ninja & I have 4 things by Ninja in my kitchen.
hehehe... I edit a lot of my humor out-lol. I have ben promoting their product!-lol. Im very happy with all my Ninja products-so far so good. Oh well I can dream of the Deluxe-lol. Thanks again Scottish Lass!
Hello there! I am on the fence about buying the grill or not..I have an instant pot to make soups and stews and rice for my toddler and I would really like an appliance for the air frying/baking (I am not a big grilling fan), but I've seen people complaining about the ceramic coating chipping on the ninja grill fairly easily. I would like to know if that is the case. Does anyone have both Ninja multicooker and Ninja Grill and can help me with a comparison between the air frying basket of the foodi and the one on the grill in terms of results and possible chipping of the coating? I would really like something that is not prone to chipping, to last longer and have great air frying results :) Please excuse my English, hope I haven't butchered it. I am from Eastern Europe.
Hi Theresa! If you have the Instant pot I would purchase the Grill. in regard to the non stick coating chipping-I have scratched mine but it is my own fault using metal in the roasting pan. I haven't had any chipping or scratches on the grill-plate nor the air crisp. basket yet. Any nonstick coating will reduce with time and use. I have already had to purchase another nonstick. bowl for my Ninja foodi. So far so good withe the grill. But I do expect the nonstick to eventually wear off. The sis to be expected with anything that has a nonstick coating. Air crisping/frying results have been fantastic with the grill-it cooks faster than the foodi. I air crisped boneless, skinless chicken thighs that had a coating in 10 minutes. And I like that the air crisping temperature goes up to 450F/232C. I air crisp my wings at 425F/218C-I like them super crispy. I feel the grill does a better job than the foodi and I am able to air crisp more wings than the foodi. I use the grill mostly for steaks, burgers, kebobs, chicken thighs but. you can also use the air crips basket to cook these items. I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to ask more questions. Thank you Theresa!
Thank you so much for your answer, Lisa! I would also like to ask you how do you feel about baking in the grill vs the foodi. I saw your videos wihere you baked the corn bread and the homemade bread in the grill and it truly seems great! Does the grill cook evenly? Does the top get overcooked or the bottom stay a bit undercooked? I would love to bake some muffins, for instance, for my little one. My current oven does a terrible job with baking...burns one side whereas the other stays uncooked..So frustrating..So I need an appliance that does air frying and baking with good results :)
@@theresahope9759 I just made brownies and they came out great. I haven't done muffins yet. Homemade bread probably wont work due to the height. Cookies-work but I find the tops get a little brown, biscuits, scones, mostly anything that isn't too high. So there are limitations with the grill. I do like how I can fit an 8x8 pan in the grill. but the foodi can bake bread and do scones and muffins but it cant do as many as the grill. When I make. muffins or cupcakes in the ninja digitasloven I will save some batter to make them in the Ninja foodi and grill.
Thank you so much! You have been so very helpful! I will weigh my options carefully- most likely will get the Grill :) Have a great day! Looking forward for new videos! You make cooking seem such a breeze! Keep up the good work!
@@theresahope9759 Thank you! Theresa I didn't start cooking until my early 20's-had a bad experience as a teenager-I used salt instead of sugar to make oatmeal raisin cookies-lol.Let's just say my brothers were brutal. I think you have to have a couple wins using the foodi or grill then. the confidence builds and you just go with it. Asian and Indian food have been daunting to me because of all the ingredients(seasoning needed)but once you make a few recipes it becomes easier and easier. You will be a pro in no time. p.s. I still have fails or after I make a recipe and especially when I'm editing I realize I could have improved this or used a different function on the foodi to make it better or easier.
If your unsure-keep watching videos and join Facebook groups before making your decision. And just pay attention to what you cook for yourself and/or family. For myself I use the Grill more than the foodi but I do love having both. I believe do your due diligence and take your time. Thanks Karen!
Karen I have the Insta-Pot and it's works great but the Foodi Grill opens a whole new world of cooking. It not only grills but I like the air crisping and roasting feature the best though. I do a lot of outdoor smoking and grilling also but still there are some dishes I'd rather do indoors. It's so fast and capable I find we use it a lot more than originally intended. I have used the Jet Stream oven for decades but there are none available even on the used market so I've been hunting a replacement for years. This Ninja Foodi Grill is the closest thing I've found. In some respects it's much better because of the quality build of the machine. The only thing I miss is not being able to see the food as it's cooking. I know you will use the Foodi-Grill much more than the pressure cooker.
Lisa I have the ninja foodi 6.5 quart and what feature/setting has the heat come from top and bottom also love your video’s my most fav thing abt your video’s is how short they are compared to the salted pepper who also cooks in the foodi
Thanks Jack! I. try to keep the videos reasonably short. and some are very short-I know. people. don't have a lot of. time and want recipes for the Foods or Grill quickly-especially when they get home form work hungry-lol. I don't think you can do both the heat from the top and the bottom. I will. look into this. Thank you. Jack!
Excellent video, you helped me a lot in making a decision. Now my question is: After you purchased many of the grill's accessories, would it have been better just to get the deluxe or no?
To be honest I really only use the roasting rack and the air crisp basket that came with it. I prefer. my own thermometers especially the MEATER when cooking roasts. I do. have the griddle and the vegetable pan (I use this for eggs). I suggest think about what you make/cook and if you would use the accessories and also the provided thermometer and make your decision from there. Also look at John Sanders videos as he has the Ninja Foodi Grill Pro-I don't know of anyone else on YouTUbe. that has the grill pro. Hope this helps Phillip!
Great video as always. I have the Foodi 6.5, Instant Pot and Instant Pot Vortex. Use all three for various purposes. In reading the comments and replies I see the Ninja grill does smoke a bit. Not sure how I feel about that but am considering a purchase down the line. Maybe next version Ninja will improve that. Would you consider doing some seafood demos? I would like to air fry or bake some shrimp and some lobster tails but not sure where to start. Maybe some fish also. Thanks for all your ideas. Planning to try the parmesan chicken tomorrow. Last summer I was air frying in two devices on each end of my island and blew a circuit breaker. Had to move one device to a different outlet on my counter that is on a different circuit 😋
Ive done that too-have to rewire the house-lol. The grill does smoke-mostly when I cook. burgers, and when I flip/turn steaks but not that much with the steaks. The chicken Parmesan is really goods. thanks Cattitude!
Hi there! Love your video! Really helpful! I'm trying to decide between grill and air fryer, and I'm more confused now that Ninja has a Dual Zone Air Fryer. It seems so practical! The only thing that makes me think about the Grill would be the food flavour. Do you think the flavour (specially for meats) is very different between the grill and the air fryer?
Hi-thank you! No taste difference between the Grill and the Foodi. What I recommend is keep tractor the foods you eat for a few weeks and see which Ninja will cook most outhouse foods. and go with that one. hope this helps!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I had to watch with no sound and just captions (DH is asleep). You did such a great job presenting this. I'll get to watch with sound tomorrow. I have the Ninja Foodi 8qt OP401 ($170 Amazon day AFTER Mother's Day one day sale) and the Ninja Foodi 5-in-1 grill ($149 Sam's Club one day sale 2 weeks before Black Friday). I got the NF 8qt to hold more ribs at one time. I watched it for a long time and waited on a good sale. The Ninja Foodi Grill came one and I watched it and was still on the fence. When Sam's Club offered it for $149, I grabbed it online. They were sold out online within 8 hours.
I have the foodi. Not the grill. I’m fixing to buy the grill though. I haven’t done too much research but I thought they could do pretty much the same thing except grill. That seems to be the case from your video. That may not warrant getting both for some people. However, for me it does. I got my foodi two years ago for Christmas and I have not been disappointed one time. I love the ninja foodi and I feel certain I will love the grill as well. I personally want all the ninja items 🙂 and today just so happens to be a great day to pick the grill up! Thanks! Ohhhh btw.... glad I found your channel I need recipes because I honestly try not to use my stove anymore!
thank you Kimber! Yeah the only differences to me are that it has a Grill function and you can air crisp more food at one time. You will enjoy the Grill. Thanks. Kimber!
Some say I'm too honest sometimes gets me into trouble-lol. I just want people to. think about the decision to purchase these appliances and do what best for themselves and their families. Thanks DaytonaFunTim!
I have both & I need both being disabled. I know that able bodied people like to have them also. I won't get rid of either of mine especially my ninja foodi max.
Lisa, I bought the Instant Pot first until I discovered the Foodi and recently I bought the Grill. To be Honest I use all 3 still as I can Pressure cook in the IP while doing something else in one of my Ninjas. It’s the best of both Worlds to me.

Got the ninja foodi and I use it more than my wife french frys are awesome and the hens come out really great I use it almost every day. 👍keep up the great videos thank you.
I have the FoodiGrillPro - love it...I wanted to be able to pressure cook & steam & put aside my Instant Pot Nova mini so tonight or'd the FOODI 5qt as it is 20% off on NinjaKitchen site. We'll see soon if it's an either or...or both ? Thanks for your thoughts. I came here looking for first time use of Foodi to prepare for it's arrival.
Hey VitaZgal, do the water test first then pick out a recipe and go for it! You don't seem to be nervous about using the Foods-Just watch the recipes in the Ninja Cookbook as some of them need seasoning adjustments-like the Mac n cheese. I think you will enjoy having tit to compliment the Grill. Thanks VitaZgal! Let me know how you like it!
@@pressurecrisp THANK you so much for the support and tips...I really do think I'll enjoy it...been watching basics of using it just now...I really like it! I so hope the 5qt has that rack one can turn upsdie down...hope it isn't too big for the 5qt ?! :) I will do basics like sweet potato first..then maybe make the mac and cheese then add toppings/some breading crumbs to follow with crisping function(air fry?) I've never made any pasta in Instant Pot or FoodiGrill & do want to make my first. :) !
@@pressurecrisp yes....I'll do just that...and when I wrote I'd air crisp(AFry) the mac & cheese with toppings... Thanks...it's like having a personal chef in the house!
In Spain the Instant Pot is just as expensive as the Ninja Foodi 😭 I recently got the Instant Pot Duo Crisp and so far I'm happy with it. The only problem is that the air frying basket is too small to fit big steaks to lay flat on the tray. I just had to debone a steak because the bone was so long it couldn't fit... While we're at it - the try is also annoying. It gets dislodged easily so you have to flip the steaks very gingerly
Hi Sylphandora, yeah the Instant pot is inexpensive in the US. I had one until my father threw it out by accident. I prefer a bone in steak- I have no experience with the Duo Crisp- thought about getting one but not now. Thanks!
Okay I got a Ninja Foodi Grill.. I LOVE IT. But.... it constantly. SMOKES! Like smokes the whole house up, sets off smoke alarms etc.. lol whenever I make a steak , burger, anything on high heat. It’s so annoying... great product I use it daily but it’s a nuisance sometimes. Do you have the same problem?? Because it’s definitely not smokeless like it’s advertised. I definitely always clean after use.. clean and ready to go but that’s my only downfall
Smoked the other day when I was making burgers--and when I flip a steak/other meats. Smokes most of the time with burgers. I place it one y stove and turn.ove fan on to suck up the smoke. I am ordering a stove cover and will shut the circuit breaker off to the stove to prevent fires from accidentally turning on stove. This is my only solution to this issue. But I will not give up my Grill-lol. Thanks Eric!
May want to check the smoke point of your oil. If you're using Olive Oil it has a smoke point around 210 degrees. Avocado, Canola and Peanut Oil have much higher smoke points....just something to try...it might help with the smoke.
@@pressurecrisp why bother? You probably never even use it anymore. lol I love the people that buy a $5000 chefs range and still eat out 5 days a week 😉

I tried to make stew and it did not come out correctly but The Salted pepper did a wet roast I think(pot roast or chuck roast) and it came out in the grill. I haven't watched the video but maybe check that video out.
In the Ninja Foodi, what is the difference between the "Broil" and "Air Fry" functions? Both have heat coming from the top, and circulate air with the fan?
It's funny Lisa as I have a plethora of Ninja goods also, for example my Ninja foodi max and my Ninja blender among another 2 ninja machines. I have the ninja foodi grill as well. Can you tell I'm a fan of Ninja lol

Hi from Germany ! Thanks for your video! I have a question. I Read that in the ninla multicooker you can cook potatoes meat and vegetables the Same time. Is that also possible on the grill? Cam you make beef jerky with both? I have a croclpot and and airfryer alteady, I really dont know wgich 8ne I dhould get
HI Claudia! Spent the summer in Germany in1987-long time ago lol. Do you mean the Foodi when you say multi cooker? If so. definitely can cook meat and veg at the same time. I tried making stew the other day in the Grill but didn't work out-took hours and still. not done. I will experiment again by cutting pieces of. meat and veg much smaller and I also had to add a lot more liquid but going to try this again. As long as you have the dehydrate function you can make jerky in both units. In regard to which one you should get-write down/keep tract of what you eat on a regular basis. The foodi is more versatile, you can pressure cook and air fry. Watch as many videos from all the Ninja cookers out there and make your decision. Thanks Claudia!
@@pressurecrisp thank you for your advise, I will do that. The multi the one you call foodi I guess. I Read you can grill wirh both. I would recommend the Ninja Foodi. I am almost one of the original owners of one. I love Ninja Products they are pricy but the quality is good. My first pressure cooker was Instant Pot. I had a Ninja Blender then I got the email about the Ninja Foodi. I ordered it right away. But Instant Pot is trying to catch up with Ninja. When Ninja Foodi first came out I asked and requested for a stainless steel pot, their reaction stainless steel has problems with food sticking
Well I have the Ninja Foodi Deluxe and its perfect for my wife and I in our Rv (full timers) we also took out our Atwood oven and made shelf space!! the Atwood was a big waste of propane in our opinion (Nuwave induction cook top when needed) Ninja Foodi deluxe is the bomb!!
Jealous! Well first the full-time RV'ing and you also have the Deluxe! That say next purchase just waiting for a deal. The Foodi is perfect for RV'ing-wont heat up the RV, less dishes, small footprint(space saving) as it is so many appliances in. one. That's it I need an RV to test these theories-lol. I'm driving cross country in April but in my little car-lol. Off for. a month so I'm a wandering-Vegas to visit my Aunt then Florida then back to NY. Going to do a meet up in Vegas and maybe some other cities-not sure where you are but I'll be posting the cities and dates as we get closer to April. Thanks Ed!
I just purchased the compact ninja foodi off of Amazon. I’m still on the fence. It’s only me . I am a fan of instant pot and I purchased their airfryer lid which I have not opened the box yet. Some pictures and comments on Amazon reveal rust building up on ninja foodi which is a concern of mine. Since I have airfryer I would not be interested at this time for the ninja grill. Also its price point is a concern for me. Amazon is offering the compact foodi at quite a considerable lesser price. Money is very important at this time to me. So have you seen any rust on your foodi? Around the metal parts of the cooker and the pressure cooker lid?
I have no rust on any of my Ninja Foodi's-I have had my 6.5Qt since 2018. Gave it to my father but no rust on it. Just a quick question if you have the Instant pot with the air frying lid why do you need the Ninja compact? You can do all the Ninja Foodi recipes in the Instant Pot. Watcha few videos on the Instant Pot air frying lid/cover-John Sanders(RUclips channel) has both the Ninja and Instant pot and has tested them out. hope this helps cynanne1!
I cancelled the one on amazon based on size and the probability later of rust. It was redundant to have both where as the instant pot airfryer lid fit my instant pot 6 quart. Watching videos on RUclips between both comparisons helped me decide to cancel.
I've had the IP for a couple years, the only thing I ever use it for is pressure cooking chicken and hard boiled eggs. just bought the Foodie Smart 5-in-1 Grill from Costco yesterday for $179, looking forward to using it today following one of your vid's :) I keep reading that the recommended times for items is too long, have u noticed this? any accessories anyone recommend i purchase? Thanks!
Congrats on the grill! The times in book are mostly incorrect. I recommend seeing what you have in your kitchen first then I suggest a good instant read thermometer and the EVO oil sprayer. And silicone utensils. Beyond that use grill and send what best suits you. ThanksRandy!
I bought the Ninja grill online, I did my research and checked all the prices. The usual, like Amazon, Ebay, Argos, and many other outlets. The best price I got was almost £50 cheaper than all the others was direct from Ninja. Postage was free, I had to wait a few extra days for delivery, but it was well worth waiting considering the savings I made
Excellent video on the different aspects of the products. We find that with just the two of us, that the 6.5 Foodi is perfect. Makes enough of anything for us, with leftovers for meals. DH likes to BBQ year round, so we don't really need the Ninja Grill. I think that space and storage is a consideration for most. All of the units take up counter or cupboard space, along with their accessories. You do tend to accumulate those accessories. I speak from experience. LOL Another consideration is the size and weight of the unit being considered. If you plan on storing it and bringing it out when you wish to use it, the Foodi has some weight to it. Something to think about depending on your strength and mobility.
Ahh good points I should have mentioned. My accessories are out of control-lol. I should weigh each appliance-may have to do an updated video in the future. I just want people to. do. what best. for them without the influence of others. Space is a huge consideration if you have a small kitchen. Mobility as well-especially with the Ninja hot and cold blender that blender is heavy! Thanks Anne for pointing these things out. I ope people read the comments.
This is just a general overview-If you would like a more in-depth video on thee differences between the two let me know in the comments!
I'd like to get a more in-depth video of the differences. Especially, what can you do with the Ninja Grill that you can't do with the Ninja Foodi? Thanks
Was a more in depth video done?

I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.
oh I'm going to call tomorrow and report back to you in a short video. that is not good business.
Thanks for a great video. I bought a Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 that air frys and grills as well as pressure cooking and steaming and much more. It steams sushi rice perfectly. I don't grill or fry very often. The 9-in-1 also has a yoghurt , dehydrate and saute function and that's a winner for me.😀
Great video I appreciate your honesty, I wish a lot ,I mean a lot more people would be as honest about things as you thanks.

I'm going to get the foodi 8at and and the grill but I'm wondering if it's worth getting both? The higher temp for decent grilling on the grill sounds great but would buying the grill be too redundant? Do you use both equally?
Thanks Judy! I love my grill as well.
What do you cook on your grill?
You have the perfect combo thanks!
I loved so much your honesty that I gave thumbs up and subscribed
Thank you Marcella!
Which one is the best for cup cakes and baking?
Probably foodie.
@@pressurecrisp thank you ❤️
I am still on the fence.

I need a food comparison for Steaks. I need the aircrisp or bake comprising VS the grill aspect
Which one is better for fries, potato wedges or other fried vegetables?
I prefer the Grill but everyone has their favorite appliance.
Thanks Roland! The Foodi is definitely more versatile.
Sounds great!
Is there a way to remove the bulky air frying lid when not using it?
If you have a Ninja Foodi, get the Sear & Sizzle from Grill/Grate or the Lodge 7.25” cast iron serving pan. That way you can get the sear marks on your food or that nice cast iron sear/crisp. If you have a 6 quart Instant Pot, other than the few listed as not compatible, get the Instant Pot air crisp lid ($80). If you don’t care about the cost, get bot Ninja Foodi and Ninja Foodi grill.
Thanks for the info and suggestions! thank you Sandra Davis!

Pressure Crisp Lodge does not have a 7.25” grill pan. That’s why I also got the one from Grill/Grate.

Glad it was helpful! Think it's the better choice if you already have an instant pot. Enjoy your newGrill! Thanks Sasha!

Thanks
THANK YOU for this video!!! you answered all my questions...

I have 3 insta pots. Really want a air fry. Which one should I get. Please help what to choose.
I would. probably. get the grill if you have 3 insta pots- but look around at the different air fryers and choose which one would be good for you.
you never mention how it grilles so as to compare, the whole idea of getting a grill is to grill, but need to know if other functions such as air fryer benefit to getting this grill.
DG my exact question!

Should be able to cook it in the foodi.
What button on the Ninja foodi grill is compatible with saute?

If someone already has an Instant Pot than would it be better to buy the Foodi Grill to go with the Instant Pot, or would it be better to buy the Ninija Foodi?

By the way, my name is Sonia, but it's not my screen name.

But I haven't tried cooking chips on Grill HI- think I totally confused you.
.me Personal the Ninja grill fits my needs, grilling burgers, steaks ,porkchop and ribs, and airfrying fries, roasting potatoes
I have to admit I use the Grill more than the Foodi. Thanks Toris!
Solved the problem, I got both, a grill & 8 qt deluxe. Love them
hehehe...so did I lol. But its a very common question in the Facebook group and on RUclips so I figured I would address it. Thanks rubar!
Which one you like better?
Roman Garcia ninja grill I use more, burgers, fries, fish, steaks. The 8 qt great for ribs, whole chicken and jerky. Got to go with the grill👍
Thanks for this video. I have an Instant pot and the ninja foodi grill. Love them both and use them both. However, we are in an RV (for travel) and to reduce weight and space we are having to decide if Ninja Foodi 9 in 1 is better or not . decisions, decisions ...
Oh. this is a tough. decision. Can you remove something. else-lol. Thanks Nate!
Thanks TrumpVirus19! I'll have to check out the George Foreman dome grill.

I got the ninja foodi for the pressure cooking feature (I love pressure cooking). Haven't decided yet about getting the grill
Thanks for telling the truth 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Your welcome Omar. Thank you!
Me I can’t decide which one to buy , I have only small kitchenfoodie or gt the you so minL
I've noticed the oil I use makes a huge difference with the grill. I use avocado oil and have very little issues with smoke.

I tried making stew the other day in the Grill but didn't work out-took hours and still. not done. I will experiment again by cutting pieces of. meat and veg much smaller and I also had to add a lot more liquid but going to try this again. As long as you have the dehydrate function you can make jerky in both units.

Hi great video again ( I’ll got both and use all the time ( grill great for snacks ( and foodi great for larger dinner party and slow cook 👩🍳
Thanks Paul! Great that you have both! I love having both!
@@1cynanne Great! Just remember any/most. air fryer/pressure cooker/Instant pot/Ninja foodi recipes will work with what you have.

Postage was free, I had to wait a few extra days for delivery, but it was well worth waiting considering the savings I made
Awesome deal Mike! Congrats on getting the Grill!
you are amazing !!
When talking generic which one is comparable??
Thanks Angela!
