- Hey Everyone!
I had to move my old 416 Unimog. But before i did, it had a little steering issue that had to be fixed.
That turned into some electrical issues, that also had to be sorted.
Before we would take it for a drive, and break it once again.
All in all, just a regular day, around here.
Thanks for watching along! Авто/Мото
i love your unimog videos
Just another case of a quick easy fix in the field !!
Engineering at its best !!
Entertaining as always! Thanks.
Mate, those fittings are fantastic! All vehicles should be like this...
i always love watching the tire boom reinflate in 1 second ,i have watched friends do it with their 37 and 39" tires, these old Unimogs are great ridiculously capable for what they are , and it goes to show ,its not about speed, its about the fun and to see how much mud you can take home 👍
Everything you fix and do looks so easy.👍🖖
Thats just because i cut out all my swearing and wrench-throwing 😄
You answered my question as to whether or not to clear out the tyre and wheel of all the mud and damp introduced. Nice quick vid and romp in the mud. Take care & stay safe.
Ahhh, the joys of ownership =) Nice work
For some reason I thought the steering wheel were going to break 😄. Great video as always 👍. Greetings from Norway
Hahah that would have been akward
Wake up, make coffee, watch Team Army Trucks... Day complete
My dad and I love watching your videos.
Love it, Every time I watch one of your videos with a Unimog, it makes me want one even more! Cheers
You are a fearless driver 😅 Best tire inflation I've seen to date. 😂
Ace!! More Mog madness! Love it!
Thanks for another great video, I'm looking forward to the next one👍😀
..i'll just stfu! JUST Happy to see Her♥
great content as always. I'lm still amazed by the off road capabilities of this thing. When will you take us for a bivouac "road" trip, that would be fun !
Impressive!
Good stuff. And the game was exiting as well, hehe
Dear TAT guy.
👍👌👏 2) Those sturdy compression fittings seem to work great. Unfortunately there are not available for more modern vehicles. As so many other things that disappeared from the market, they have been functioning too good and too long I guess. 3) Overstressing the front axle so hard again and at the exact same place, caused another defect. So next time you could either follow what heaven tries to tell you or simply overstrain the Unimog unnecessarily again. 😁😋😜😛😘😇 It's your choice but in my personal opinion, this Universalmotorgerät deserves better.
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck, health and wisdom.
great video
Dejlig med de gamle Hydraulik slanger der kunne man selv lave det meste 😍
You,are awesome 👌 man
Popping the tire back on with ether was a very practiced move. Hopefully you have not experienced what happens with too much.
Actually overinflating a big tire to explosion is bad enough as it is.
this "Mog" would be fun Rock Crawling in MOAB, Utah...!
🇦🇺I enjoy your videos
Do you keep a box of interesting finds from
these military vehicles
eg bullets , tools
I do keep the interesting stuff, yeah. :)
Thanks for watching along
👍
Øj, den lyder godt den gamle 416! Kanon video, og rutineret dækmontage😉
It always pays to go until you get to the scene of the breakdown. You get your money's worth then! 😄
nice fix
nice poof when you poped the bead. You should get a battery tester it really helps to determine the state of health of the battery
I should, yeah.
I usually just borrow one from work. but it was faster to do what i did here, that it was to go and get one.
So yeah. i should just have one for myself.
From my hydraulic days, I was told that those fittings are temporary and 'for emergency use only'.
Nothing is more permanent than a temporary fix that works. Just like rope plugs for tires. It's not a permanent repair, it only lasts as long as the tire itself
I have a 1975 406 that I am trying to get the wiring repaired - rats chewed the wiring and plug ends. The unit was behind the air filter and I need to know how to replace the plug ends which seem to be none existent. I would truly like to get this unit running and charging so that I can plow my wife and I out of our property this winter. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Hey there, send me an Email at "teamarmytrucks@hotmail.com" and i'll send some stuff to help you out
Do these chassis ever fatigue due to all the flexing??
Not to my knowlage.
I have never seen them crack. (At least not due to fatigue)
Could you install bead lockers?
Well, i have seen it done before, so yeah, i suppose i could. but i don't think ill do it on this one.
However, i might just do it on my little red 421.
Did you, have any, idea where I can find a Unimog from Danish army? Or something like that
Most of these old "Round-cab" unimogs, are long gone from here. with only a few left in private ownership.
Most of the were sold to Estonia. and these days, a bunch of them have moved on to Ukraine.
and the rest have been scattered around the world.
So there is not one specific place where they show up.
I think your best bet, is to keep your eyes on German and Deutch "Truck/LKW sales" sites.
Thanks for your answer! Keep it up
The great work and sharing with us your experience!
Za Mentzena będę miał samochód, mieszkanie, wakacje i chlanie więc głosuje na Konfederację!
Do you have any for sale I'd like to drive down africa
No sir.
Besides, the ones i have at the moment, are hardly ready for long drives. Let alone an Africa trip
