What a pathetic move from him trying to play the sympathy card. He handballed it intentionally, TWICE, for the goal that eliminated ireland. He then celebrated like crazy and after full timr he sat beside a distraught Richie Dunne as if he was a nice guy. Henry showed his real disgusting character that night

@Rat Ratman Your realise there are 10,000 streets in liverpool..... Saying the only one that was on TV tells me you're from The South of England. Which tells me you're an Arsenal fan..... which tells me you're never gonna have anyone say or even type a bad word about a guy who left your club so he could win things..... On the other hand, how you act in all situations is up for judgement, and to deliberately cheat, regardless of the stakes, says something about your character. Thierry Henry was a role model because of how great a player he was. Imagine if he'd held his hand up at the time, and admitted to referee he handballed it. What kind of message that would have been to millions of kids around the world. But he didn't. He cheated. And the world cup got french fans instead of irish fans. Irish fans so bitter because that was the closest their country has gone to reaching a world cup. Instead of being so bitter, move on and thrive to be better. That's what France did and you guys can now only dream of ever beating them.

They've been to 3 World Cups. The last time in 2002 (the one previous to the on they're talking about). 2002 was the one where Roy Keane famously walked out. Ireland had a really good side during that period. The likes of Roy and Robbie Keane, Duff, Kelly, Harte, Given, Dunne etc.
