- Child proof caps can be a little annoying to open but in reality they save lives every year. In this video I'll go over 4 different types of child proof caps.

These are by far the best animations I've seen so far. They're so good that even with the video muted, you can still perfectly make sense of what is happening. I consider this to be a quality test, try it yourselves. When you find a video explaining something by animations, mute the video for a while and try to see if they still make sense. Jared's surely pass the test.

I'm late as hell, but I've read a bunch of times that most children push on bottle caps when opening, while adults tend to pull. As an effect, the caps are actually more adult-proof than child proof.
Masked Death The push caps are the most annoying design, I am surprised that so many companies decides that it was the best idea to include it. Plus, as you mentioned, they don’t really work.

I had a tooth pain and my bottle was of the last type, 2:50 , it was a new Tylenol bottle and very tightly closed, so I was not sure if I was opening it the right way, your video helped me understand the mechanism and I just had to apply a large force to push down and rotate, and it opened!! Thanks a lot!!!!!

I had a bottle with the last cap and couldn't get it open when pushing and turning. This video helped me as I realized I may need to just put extra downward pressure on it. It worked!

When I was a young boy they were testing some new childproof safety bottles, and I ignorantly not understanding it was to test everyone’s skill on it, helped every single other student in my pre-school classroom open the bottles right after I learned.
“hey kid how’d you figure that out?”
“it’s easy, it has a cartoon of how to do it on top.” I responded.
Thank you for showing what is in the cap. Helps a lot. The one that I have trouble with is the last one. Sometimes it works, and now, it won't open even though I push down hard while turning. I'll keep trying.

Child-proof bottles will not deter children who can read (it says line up and twist, or press down and twist ON THE BOTTLE). The child-proof caps are for toddlers. Isn't anybody actually supervising children? As soon as you have a toddler, you put things out of reach and put child-proof caps on your cupboards and electrical plugs.
BTW, I actually ended up here to find out how to turn these child-proof caps into normal caps. It requires a lot of strength to press down (hard) and twist at the same time. Elderly, especially with arthritis, do not have that strength in their wrists, especially not while twisting. At present elderly people get someone else to open their pill bottles and then just leave them open.

There is another one, but not for medications. Look on a windshield washer fluid bottle. There is a notch on the bottle and a tab on the side of the cap. You have to squeeze the tab on the cap to make the it past the notch

When i was a small child, when i want to open a bottle with a child proof cap, I always angrily open them and push them down and up with full strength, it always worked

I remember clear as day I was sitting at the table with my mom and probably getting ready for school and I had to take those Flintstones vitamins that everyone has when they’re kids and I don’t remember what she was doing but I grabbed the bottle noticed something on the top and read it then found out in broad daylight the “child-proof” bottle said in huge letters “push cap down and turn.” So I did then I said “look mommy” and she was surprised I opened it with absolutely no help at all. So one of these child-proof caps aren’t very child-proof.

@@alexwang982 Which isn't the case, since those caps are ment for very young children. Children around the age of 6 should have learned, that you shouldn't just tace medizine. Also normaly you store those outside the range of your children.

As adult i declare this video helpful. Before i watching this i was thinking that my bottles have some manufacturing issues.
