I had to watch you twice and because of your patience and guidance, I found your teaching wonderful...I'm making Christmas books for my nieces who love to just jot things down..Thank you so much..
Thank you! I made one coptic stitch watercolor paper sketchbook with hard covers, but found that very intimidating! This method looks considerably easier and I just need to find a nice weight paper for the covers that I will probably glue together after binding for a bit of extra firmness, and I may even incorporate pockets on one or both inside covers. I'm thinking cardstock might be good.
I need to revamp these videos to include the things you are talking about! Originally, I put these tutorials online for my students during the pandemic--I am blown away by how many people use them and also like them. Thanks. I am so happy to share this with the outer world.
wow...ive been looking for a clearer instruction...and boy...you are just so clear..that i was confident enough to do my book...I DID IT...thanks mucho
This was a great tutorial. I completed my very first book yay! I restarted twice as I confused myself by flipping. I then got a knot on a third of the way but managed to carefully maneuver it through and luckily the knot landed at the station point (I'm a bit precious with the waxed thread) This was so relaxing and I know I will become obsessed! 🙏
Thank you, Kathleen! Your demonstration was so clear - verbally and visually. I've tried coptic before but couldn't understand what the stitches were doing. Now I can see this after watching your video and hearing your explanations. Looking forward to trying this. Thanks again.
You are a very good instructor. Lots of great commentary not only on how to do it, but also how to avoid messing up. I’ve followed this tutorial twice this week on a project, and it’s been so helpful.
Thank you for sharing all the detailed techniques! I've learned so much from your video. I've been doing the kettle stitch on my own (I don't even know what it actually calls) just to make both ends of Coptic stitch looks prettier, but never know if it's the right way to do or have I've been doing it all wrong. So thank you for the instruction🥰
I have learnt so much from you in 27:05 minutes 🙂 thank you. New subbie and going to be binge watching and learning methinks if my brain will work well in the heat we are having currently 🙄
I tried this stitch, and carried the initial thread tail up through all the kettle stitches. It was easy to do and left only the final tail to deal with. Is there a reason why this isn't done?

Well explained and demonstrated. Sliding the awl to make the holes - far better than my usual "stabby-stabby" technique. Thank you.
Wow! Great tutorial! You are an amazing teacher! Subscribed.

Pam! Every semester I teach my students how to thread a needle the way that you taught me-pinching the thread. Hello and take care!
Camehere because I wanted to bind some Rpg pdfs into books that would lie open flat on the table. Will be trying this out tonight. Thanks for sharing!
I'm back for another book :)
Thanks for this! It is an easier way than the one I've been doing. I appreciate your clear instruction.🧡

Wonderful!
Ok I made a big mistake. I got 4 signatures sewn together and have no idea how to do a cover. Do I start all over!

Hii great
Hello, may do you have an email contact? I would like to talk about this binding that interests me.
