    Fine rake. It thatches my centipede without damaging it. Last spring I managed 250 sq.ft. a day where it had never been thatched. You need several rake styles really and this is one of them.

    I bought one after watching this video and I'm very pleased.
    It will dethatch and it pulls up the moss in my yard.
    I still use the traditional rakes for leaves and stones, but the Groundskeeper coil tines
    can easily clear areas that would require more effort with traditional rakes.

    Finally got my hands on one. I like that it can dethatch so nicely without wrecking the grass like my Sunjoe does. I’ll use this on any thin areas to try to open it up and stimulate growth, or to get dead grass out that might be clouding the color.

    Very Nice product! The spring nature of the tang's is what makes this rake stand out. Nice to see the tang's are replaceable? The times I had a nice rake for the lawn only to have is rust in 1 year! even when it was a pricey rake. Mind you, I prefer a electric garden vac! It suck up the clippings and cut them up finer for composting and leaves etc.? Most models have a blower setting too, so just right for a lazy person like me? :P

    • @SilverCymbal

    • @SilverCymbal
      @SilverCymbal  4 года назад +1

      Up here you can really only get pine bark and hemlock which is more expensive. The all pretty much turn into that when they are done. I have seen the pine straw stuff I beieve its called in the carolinas, we dont have any of that here. It's hard to believe but our Mass summers can be incredibly hot and it really cooks that mulch we have.

    So I bought one, it works? Yes, it works, but doing a 10x10ft area I had instant regrets of not getting the electric Greenworks Detacher for $81 dollars more. the Rake was $48 and the electric detaches were $128. I am seriously considering returning the manual rake.

    • @SilverCymbal
      @SilverCymbal  4 года назад

      I wouldn't return it. I know its all money but you want both. There will always be small spots an areas that you need that rake for. Plus it is a rake no joke intended so it can clean things up into piles that the dethatcher doesn't. If you can afford to, keep them both they will be lasting a long time.

    • @JavierRivera
      @JavierRivera 4 года назад

      @@SilverCymbal Can I afford both, yes... But I do not want to. After your MSG and giving it a thought to my situation I might go through the hard work and pain of doing it manually for 4 reasons. 1- I do not want to spend that much 2- I do not have space to much space and I like to keep my garage as clean and organized as possible, minimalistic. 3- I still need to buy a Manual Aerator to keep it low cost and minimal (more hard work) and 4- I still need to buy a Plugger Tool to transplant good grass to other bad areas. Between all those tools plus the Groundskeeper II, the total will be $125.33, almost the same I would be spending only for the electric detacher.
