I love the dramatic music and cinematic views of the rake.
Fine rake. It thatches my centipede without damaging it. Last spring I managed 250 sq.ft. a day where it had never been thatched. You need several rake styles really and this is one of them.
it is at this point in my evening where i realize just how far down the rabbit hole youtube has taken me
Glad to have you! Thanks for watching.
castorlestrado oh it’s worse if you are watching videos like this at 3:30am😉
@@caseytbss Depends...some people get off work at midnight. Grab a bite to eat, relax with a beer and goof off for a few hours, heh.
LOL! I hear ya!
What are you talking about? It's a great rake.
we got one of these the other day and its really quite impressive lite weight and works like no other we love it !!!!

I bought one after watching this video and I'm very pleased.
It will dethatch and it pulls up the moss in my yard.
I still use the traditional rakes for leaves and stones, but the Groundskeeper coil tines
can easily clear areas that would require more effort with traditional rakes.
Hey, that’s great tool, just bought one after seeing your review, planning to use it this season, thank you
I just bought a 22" and a 9" Groundskeeper. They are awesome!!
Very cool, I love the little one too. Amazing to see such an old too get such a great improvement like this.
The world's best rake is the one that you hand someone else and then they rake it up for you.😁
Classic* LMAO 🤣 😂🤣 😂🤣 😂
Finally got my hands on one. I like that it can dethatch so nicely without wrecking the grass like my Sunjoe does. I’ll use this on any thin areas to try to open it up and stimulate growth, or to get dead grass out that might be clouding the color.
I know this is an old video but I just purchased this rake and absolutely love it! It has made my raking jobs much easier. I had to special order its from Home Depot, wish they carried it in stock instead.
I bought this based upon your recommendation. I hand raked about five wheelbarrow loads of thatch out. I'm excited to see if my lawn improves! I also did tenacity last week.
It's been a year since your post. How the lawn?
I just ordered it based on your recommendation. Like you, I do all of my yardwork and enjoy seeing it thrive.
I have 2 year old sod, and it looks like it needs a light amount of detaching. Hopefully this gets the job done without having to rent a dethaching machine.
I think it will work great for you. I have a small section of sod that I used it exactly for that purpose and it worked very well. Hope you love it too. Best wishes to you and thank you for watching.
I've used these commercially for over a year. Great for dethatching, moss removal, stick clean up, and large debris piles. Tines are still in good shape. Well worth the money.
That's great to hear. It's been great to use. I really want to buy one of their smaller ones too for tight areas but for this season this will likely be sole rake. Thanks for sharing the comment and watching.
I have the small rake too and it works just as well. I forgot to mention it is also excellent for spreading mulch when turned over. It's the best money I've spent on a rake.
definitely going to give it a try!
I watched- I purchased- I used= I love it! Thanks SC!
I have that rake also and it is fantastic!
This rake works awesome when my kids rake the leaves.
I own 1, they work great.
I received mine today. It works like no other rake out there. Cleans up more debris with way less “drag” as with traditional plastic rakes. That took a lot of stress off my back and arms.
Thats great to hear. It is an amazing tool. I still love mine as much as when I made this video. Looking forward to raking being a little easier for me this year. Thanks for watching.
I own one of this, it is the best rake, does a great job... I agree is awesome!
I like that it's wireless.
Hahahahahaha! LOL
LMAO 🤣 😂🤣 😂🤣 😂
I have it it’s amazing
Very nicely done! Thank you!👍🏽
Very cool tool. And from Iowa! Yeah Iowa...I live in Iowa. Thanks for sharing...
There’s another similar rake called “The Maintainer “ and at least it’s in stock. Works great like this one!
Same tines that are on the tractor attachment. After watching the video I bought one. Thanks for the video. I can use this.
The rake is really amazing, I think you will like it a lot
Nice!!! Thanks bro.
I have a Garrant rake for 1 year now, flatter, wider aluminum tines, picks rocks out of edge of grass, rips out old long grass/ weeds. Love it. Would like to try comparison.
I still use a traditional steel rake with the spring on its backside for some spot detaching. It's always does an ok job at removing clumps and getting the dirt exposed. Wonder how it compares against this specialized dethacing rake.
I have 4 Groundskeeper II rakes My wife and I love them.
Great to hear! Really fantastic rakes! - Thank you for watching!
Manfred krug
VERY USEFUL...Thank you.
GREAT VIDEO. VERY COOL. THANK YOU!
Hey that's a cool rake! Thanks for the info!!
Thank you LA - Always appreciate your kind words.
Nice rake. enjoyed full-watch of video.
Thank you very much I appreciate that
Best Ever Rake!
My favorite rake is my backpack blower
I use this rake to gather the thatch that my corded Greenworks dethatcher loosens.
Thats a great idea! Thank you for the comment and for watching!
Gonna buy the replacement head and stick a wooden handle on it from home depot. It comes up cheaper. Thanks for uploading this video.
I don't know why this was recommended to me but what a cool rake
I love raking. I am a rake. Rake.
Very interesting 🤓
If you think it's a pain raking the lawn, get a robotic lawnmower. Then there's no need to rake the lawn and as a bonus the quality of the lawn gets better. However, a rake comes in handy for others parts of the garden, so thanks for the video!
Looks like it could be good for leveling soil as well.
Definitely, it's very veratile and light but it still have some strength for tougher jobs like that. Thank you for the comment and for watching - Best wishes
I dethatched last weekend with the traditional dethatching rake and i'm still sore. LOL. It's also heavey.
Thanks! I ordered one from Amazon.
I hope you love it as much as I do, if you don't you can blame me :) Thank you for watching and i hope it makes your cleanup a little easier - Best wishes to you
I can't find it on amazon
Can’t believe rakes are cool now. What era is this!?
Looks like a superior product. Wonder where you get the replacement tines and how much they cost.
Thank you, they sell them directly I believe but after using this for a year a lot I dont think they will need replacing for most people Its really well made. amzn.to/2S5eDCi
If only I could get my hands on this in Australia
Sorry hopefully they will expand sometime
Bro it's a rake chill. Number two issa yard. Fuckin chill.
When I made this video, the tool was barely known. Check the reviews now from owners. It's not a rake, it's a lifestyle my friend.
The Groundskeeper II aka The Willie
“It really makes me wanna rake” said no one ever
I know it sounds crazy but for me it’s true.
chad when people get paid they will say just about anything you want 😂
My review was not paid and I purchased this take at a retail store.
Silver Cymbal 😂😂😂😉😘sure
@@elgusano6261 No one paid me for my endorsement.
Please after the seeding I forgot to put pre emergent. So I see a few weeds here and there should I used tenacity or I should just use my hands to plug them off. It’s been about 3 weeks now
Very Nice product! The spring nature of the tang's is what makes this rake stand out. Nice to see the tang's are replaceable? The times I had a nice rake for the lawn only to have is rust in 1 year! even when it was a pricey rake. Mind you, I prefer a electric garden vac! It suck up the clippings and cut them up finer for composting and leaves etc.? Most models have a blower setting too, so just right for a lazy person like me? :P
That sounds pretty cool actually. Vacs are hand and have there place especially in tight areas or when you need to cleanly dispose of the material and they can bag it right up. Thank you for watching and sharing.
That's interesting about your pine bark mulch. I'm in the south and it doesn't get hard like yours. Does hardwood mulch do the same thing?
Up here you can really only get pine bark and hemlock which is more expensive. The all pretty much turn into that when they are done. I have seen the pine straw stuff I beieve its called in the carolinas, we dont have any of that here. It's hard to believe but our Mass summers can be incredibly hot and it really cooks that mulch we have.
How long do they last for, I'm not sold on the plastic tabs keeping the tines in given the tough work it has to cope with
I use this rake in a commercial landscaping business. They are darn near impossible to get out. I've tried just to see how hard it would be to change them out.
We got 2 used ones from the city. And we have used them hard and the only thing that broke was the fiberglass handle where it screws in and that cuz it got fun over
May I super like it '
When will the strengthen the section that is attached to pole by adding another screw? It's too weak and breaks off too often.
I think using it in the beds is a great idea and small thatch jobs but a whole lawn no way. That would destroy my hands and back.
I hear you, any manual raking is going to create some stress on the body but I actually enjoy using this tool much more than any other rake and in small amounts I work through my yard but it can't replace power equipment.
@@SilverCymbal yes, agreed.
Hired 😎☘️👑
Is the greenworks dethatcher a significantly better investment for a small lawn? or would you say this can do the trick? Thanks for the great content.
I have trees that I get small braches and a lot of sticks and debris. I also have some physical restrictions with my shoulders and arms. I can't afford to have someone do my lawn care all the time. What type of equipment would you recommend?
Waiting for software to download, trying kill time and end up learning about an awesome rake. Isnt RUclips great?!
Awesome comment, thank you for watching!
Great video. At the end of the video I checked the description for the name of the rake and it's not there! Can you put a link to the rake in the description?
Great idea, in the meantime you can get more information at www.thegroundskeeperii.com/home.html Thank you very much for the nice comnent and for watching - Best wishes to you
So I bought one, it works? Yes, it works, but doing a 10x10ft area I had instant regrets of not getting the electric Greenworks Detacher for $81 dollars more. the Rake was $48 and the electric detaches were $128. I am seriously considering returning the manual rake.
I wouldn't return it. I know its all money but you want both. There will always be small spots an areas that you need that rake for. Plus it is a rake no joke intended so it can clean things up into piles that the dethatcher doesn't. If you can afford to, keep them both they will be lasting a long time.
@@SilverCymbal Can I afford both, yes... But I do not want to. After your MSG and giving it a thought to my situation I might go through the hard work and pain of doing it manually for 4 reasons. 1- I do not want to spend that much 2- I do not have space to much space and I like to keep my garage as clean and organized as possible, minimalistic. 3- I still need to buy a Manual Aerator to keep it low cost and minimal (more hard work) and 4- I still need to buy a Plugger Tool to transplant good grass to other bad areas. Between all those tools plus the Groundskeeper II, the total will be $125.33, almost the same I would be spending only for the electric detacher.
I have ST. Aug will it work with 3.5 inch grass? Thanks.
Should work fine, I understand they sell a lot of these down south.
I want one that I can pull with my lawn tractor
How does it do with pine straw? I have twelve pine trees that are a constant battle.
looks like it does the work just like any other rake.=\
I felt that way too until I gave it a try. Hopefully you may have a chance to try one at a landscape supply store. Best wishes to you.
I like this video. I just wish the rake was Bluetooth.
Just ordered mine on Amazon. $29.99+shipping ($6)
What's the search keyword? On amazon?
Onward with Rakegasm.
Love it!
@@SilverCymbal ; I know what you mean though. sometimes we find a tool or something for the shop or
a gadget we buy for kitchen or house that makes us wonder how we ever do without.
i'm guilty of few Gasm's myself ;-)
for some reason you don't see youtubers reviewing and testing estate rakes. i suppose the hipsters think they're farm tools, rather than lawn tools. would you mind?
I bought the metal rake at Lowe's with the flat metal blades and trust me they do NOT work for dethatching!
No link? 🤔
Where can I buy this Rake ?
Hi 👋 great 👍 video how much would it cost me in the. U.k David
Thank you kindly. I am not certain if it is officially imported there. I would check at an Allett dealer or speciality supplier for better quality landscape tools to inquire. Thank you for the nice comment and for watching.
Do you have a link to where to get it and how much?

Some sell them but it will more commonly be found at landscape/power equipment dealers and amazon sells them also. - Thanks for watching.
Where I can buy it from? I am living in Australia
Try this link, they may ship overseas: amzn.to/2S5eDCi
Do they sell them in the UK
I believe they are available from golf resellers there.
Holy cow how are these rakes all of a sudden $100+ on Amazon?
Sorry they ran out that is just some crazy seller. Check back in a day or two and you will see for under $40 again
No way any rakes make me wanna rake !!!! Hell no lol
*How is it different from a hard rake*
See more of what this rake is so great ruclips.net/video/EMmR5FEqzqQ/видео.html
How did I get to this 🤔
Everybody needs a nice rake
How often do you thatch?
Usually once or twice in Spring
Thank you. I really like the videos. They’re incredibly helpful
@@ryanbabich9365 I really appreciate that, thank you so much!
it will be on e bay from china in a month ,,,
That will be very sad!
yep , id be in agreement , but its how the world works these days ,, great idea , kind of like a smaller farm hay turner
Nobody racks the grass out of the grass
How does it do against dog sht
Pretty well actually...It lifts it right up and since the tines are so thin they clean right off.
Why is the shipping so much on this rake? Company charging 64 dollars to ship
This is the right link, still the same low price: amzn.to/2S5eDCi
What estor sale may frend
I just got the clone on eBay from China.
Interesting. How is the quality of it?
Maybe I should have mowed my lawn lower .This thing killed me today. It did pull up alot of thatch thought. My 59 year old body got beat up.
It better be a great rake for $100!!!!!
They just ran out check back and it should be back for under $40
$83 for a rake that is insane. For $50 more I can get a cheap power rake.
Fiskars? Never heard about?
They don't make one of these
GET a blower, EASY FAST EFFICENT
$80 US. WAY high. I can get a pull behind for my riding mower for $90
Normal price is $45 thats just some seller price gouging. Check back
I searched for this video.
The official name is?
The Groundskeeper II - Thank you for watching.
The thing that really bothers me: Only one screw holding on the handle.
Don't worry the fit is soooo tight you need to lube it assemble it, ruclips.net/video/vVHWlJLo5x0/видео.html the screw only is a second holidng method
