I very much appreciate all the videos you have put out on RUclips. They are informative, instructional, and quite like we are talking face to face. They are honest in that when you don't know something, you make that clear as well. Safety is paramount and stressed, as it should be. I bought a used 2016 John Deere 2032r from a neighbor who was moving and it is a great little tractor. I use it to mow my fields (no longer have heifers) and swap out the mower deck for a snow blower in the winter. Your tutorials have helped me when it comes time to seasonally change over, I don't always remember (getting old) the procedure for taking off and putting on the loader and refer to the video to be sure I am not damaging anything. I have a number of attachments and saving to purchase at some point the Dethatcher and perhaps the Stump removal implement. It is clear you enjoy posting these many videos and it is also clear we as the viewers appreciate them. Thank you.
I have 6 acres with a lot of trees, a gravel drive way and live on a dirt road. When I decided that I needed a tractor I looked on you tube to find advice on what to get and found your videos to be the most helpful. I bought a new 1025 r with front end loader, 60 inch belly mower and a 4 foot brush mainly because of the information from your videos. With all the tree leaves that I have, the gravel drive way and dirt road, I really need one of these rakes, you perfectly demonstrated the exact uses that I could use it for plus some uses that I hadn’t thought of, I could see where it would be useful in a food plot that I plan I making in the near future. Your videos are the best and I always look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Always love your videos. I have gained an advanced degree in tractor tech thanks to you. As a recently retired man with a small acreage I am throwing myself into my new career as "gentleman farmer". :) The world has become a very tech savvy place and you and your channel have helped educate me in what is available and how it works. Keep up the good work.
You are absolutely right about that dethatcher having a ton of uses. I use a pull behind yard sweeper, but it is not robust enough for me to pull it through my woods like that dethacher would be to help tame my forest. Thank you for showing us more helpful solutions in real world situations.
I have a JD 1025R. It is perfect for my 5.5 acres. I bought it with just the loader, bucket and mower. Since then I’ve purchased the forks, 3 pt. rear quick hitch, straight blade, and the tiller. The more you use this machine the more you can find use for attachments. All of which helps keeps our properties looking nice. Nice video.
Hi, thanks for all your videos! I just inherited a tractor when my father in law passed and im learning all the uses for it and your videos have really been a blessing for me! Thanks again for all your info!
After watching your video on this earlier this summer, I purchased one for my 1025r. I have used it to dethatch, lightly refresh my stone drive, prepare a small area for seed, and freshen up my small pond beach area. Great implement to have and takes up very little storage room!
I've purchased a couple things from GWT. Courtney is as real as it gets. I appreciate all the effort and time he and his crew (family) put into creating very watchable videos. Remember the sacrifices from 9/11 and honor all American heroes.
I received mine a couple of weeks ago. Assembled in about an hour, attached to my quick hitch and away I went. Detached about 4 acres in no time. Used a lawn sweeper to sweep everything up and detached again. Should have taken a picture of the pile of thatch. As high as my loader would pile it. Needs a receiver on the dethatcher so that I can run the sweeper right behind the tines. Feels a little pricey but it’s well built but still light to take on and off. Good purchase.
I've been looking at one of these, and this video sold me. I have a mix of trees with alot of pines, and this would make clean up so much easier, as well taking care of the lawn.
I got to use my de-thatcher today for the first time. Wow what an amazing labor saving device for cleaning up pine needles and leaves. Eventually I’ll use it for its name sake function. Five stars.
My best friend is from Kalamazoo so evertime I watch your videos it makes me feel like we're sitting around relaxing like old times. God bless and thank you for all the informational videos!
This video caught my eye. I am putting in a new lawn on 2 acres of former alfalfa field. I have a box blade, but this looks like a better option to clean up the "clumps". Plus future lawn maintenance. Great! Thank you.
I could've used this attachment before I put down sod! I used a box blade instead but I did struggle to gather up the small debris and roots with the box blade. I ended up doing most of the debris pickup with hand rake. Love the videos!
Thanks for the video, we bought one of these from GoodWorks Tractors and it works great . My son in law is an arborist and this works really good to clean small branches when we take down a tree. 😊
This is a great tool! I have one that I made myself out of John Deere tooth tines that works great for several things you mentioned beyond just de-thatching. Great for raking up sticks in the fall from tree branches too. I re-graded my backyard for some drainage needs and used it to level out topsoil that I put down on top. Worked great! Smoothed things out well. I've put it on my Heavy Hitch weight bracket for some more down pressure to get a bit deeper into the loose soil. Great multi-purpose tool. Thanks Courtney!
I just finished building a dethatcher very similar to this CMP dethatcher for roughly $100 in materials and a few hours cutting, welding, and drilling. I'm looking forward to trying it out this spring.
This attachment would be a great home welcoming gift for the wife and I , we just purchased 4 acres and built a home on an old corn field that was recently used for hay so needless to say our “yard” needs much work. Both of us come from the city and first time either of us owned land we recently purchased a John Deere 3032 for our little paradise and I am sure this would be very useful around our home . Thank you for your videos I am learning how to use our tractor it is the first tractor I have ever sat on.
Just picked up a 1025R. Very excited, and not a little nervous, to put it to work and return on investment. This looks like a wonderful addition without breaking the bank.
This looks like a GREAT tool for the projects you described here! Thanks for the information! I'd use it for clearing my trails, leveling my yard after tilling it to prep for seeding, cleaning up leaves - all kinds of stuff!
I made a similar attachment 10 years ago. I wanted something to clear leaves and limbs for food plots deep in the woods. Turned out it did make a great looking seed bed. Now I use it for a number of uses around the farm.
I have 11 acres of mixed oak and pine which drop a ton of leaves and needles. This tool looks like the perfect tool to clean up the forest litter. I live in the west where the fire danger is very high in summer and cleaning up this litter would contribute to decreasing the chance of a fire spreading.
I have needed and wanted one of these for a while. I have a 1025r 3 acres that was not cared for by the previous owners. It also has countless massive oak and beech trees that seem to never stop dropping leaves
Courtney looks like another great deal. Something that is inexpensive and adds to the use of the 1025r! It will deff save time with the leaf blower and my back!
This is somethin I have been thinking about for most of the summer. I am new to sub compact tractors (only had mine 1 yr), but I keep learning new tings I can do with it!
That de-thatcher is is exactly what I want and need. I have a 6 ft land pride landscape rake that I’ve had for a few years. But it does tend to tear up the yard. It has its pluses and minuses. The de- thatcher is my next implement.
If you have a decent piece of property to maintain and have a BX, this is a handy tool. Great for loosening embedded leaves that you didn't get up before the rains came. Also good for cleanup after dropping a tree for whatever reason - gathers up all of the little branches and twigs that are a PITA to clean up. Great for removing leaf litter in the woods if you're trying to expand your lawn.
I have been thinking about getting one of these for several uses. Not only my gravel drive and detaching, but several cleanup jobs as well. I have a lot of dead ash trees in my yard and when you cut them down, they hit the ground and shatter as if they were made of glass. The large limbs are easy to clean up, it is the twigs that are everywhere. I also have two apple trees and the ability to clean while in reverse is an asset on my 1025R so I am not running over them and creating ground cider.
Wish I had found this sooner, looks more useful than a landscape rake and much easier to handle. We live in heavy wooded area lots of trails and leaves that require too much time to keep after. Thanks for the demo!
I've been using the 60 rake to prep yard for all new seeding this fall. Guessing works perfect for removing straw. This will be a perfect tool when grass is established as our yard is surrounded on 3 sides by woods. Love your videos keep up the good work.
I have thought about a landscaping rake first but saw the original video of this and thought this would be better. Wanted to build my own, just like ballist weight, but like everything else, gotta plan out what I need, so on so forth.
Thank you for the video Courtney. I definitely could use something like this on my property with over 40 mature Oak and Hickory trees. Especially after storms like you mentioned for sticks and limbs.
Never thought about a dethatcher doing all those things. I use my landscape rake a lot but a lot of times it’s too aggressive. Need to get me one of those dethatchers. Looks so much easier to control. Love your channel.
Yes! That 60" wide spring de-thacher looks great for us in Madisonville Louisiana! My good friend (owns Kubota L2900) & must cut & maintain ~13 acre area of mixed lawn, pasture area & mantain long pathways of that perimeter & many interior trails. This de-thacher would be a great tool to help him clean & maintain this property. His circle of friends also owns multiple acres of similar Pine tree/lawn/pasture/pathway clean'up issues. So your demonstrated & light weight spring de-thach implement would be of interest (& value) to my friend & his pals. So go ahead, pull my name out of your hat, I will give this item to my buddy to help him with his clean-up projects...& brag to his buddies how light weight it is, EZ to install/remove + can do a great job! Thx for yur videos & especially yur Droan pilot who captures yur (new) Orange tractor cutting that big field...while yur big Green 'JD' continues to live in the shop!🚜👨🔧👍👍
Great video Courtney... use to have one in my lawn tractor but sold that. Definitely a good piece of equipment to add for my LX2610. Every scenario other that pine here in CT on my property would save my back and get me more hours in the seat.. and who doesn't like that! Be well buddy
Been using a homemade 10' 3 pt. dethatcher for years behind my 1025. Never tried to go backwards other than to get stuff to release. Thank you for the videos. They are a wonderful source of information!
Hey thanks for the video again. I never considered one of those before but after seeing the video I see that we could use it for everything you touched on, except the beach.
dang, thats a brilliant idea. you can mow, dethatch and clean up random debris all at the same time! i live next to a highway and it is a pain, you get trash blow into the yard so you have to spend time prepping the yard, picking up all the trash and then the oaks...just cant keep their limbs to themselves!~ I wonder how well this would do with smaller sticks and things, but i could see it being useful on the gravel drive, in the fall/spring for overseeding and dethatching.
We have several oak trees and lots of leaves and small stick every fall. This dethatcher would couple nicely with our BX2360 so my wife doesn't spend half of the fall raking leaves and picking up little sticks. Looking forward to seeing more awesome videos on your newly acquired property.
We do a lot of blackberry trimming on the property and this would be perfect for gently raking the cut vines off the grass! It would save me a lot of hand work and getting poked by thorns.
These work good for cleanup on horse arenas . I had one a long time ago but it wasnt built as good as that one .Be nice to have one for leaf clean up . Great video
I just bought 6.5 acres of farmland in January and it sounds like this attachment would be really useful as I not only prep for seeding next year, but also to maintain it for years to come.
Looks like a great clean up tool for breaking down the garden at the end of the year… would work in either our bx25 or our lx2610… nice when you find something that could be used on either for different jobs… thanks for showing this little beauty off!
Skip this comment as I bought one from you last year. It works great. I use it for seed prep and some light raking. I'll be using mine again for overseeing here in just a week or two. Cheers!

Rick
Would work really nice for my Ranch

I have a giant willow tree in my yard that makes a mess every spring, this looks like it could do 90% of that clean up in minutes.

This would be perfect for my trails in my woods for the dirt bikes also when I help out with lawn installs! Great informative review!

I have a smaller one, for a lawn tractor . I use it for twig removal, and dethatching. Takes a few passes, almost eliminates hand raking .

Hi, thanks for all your videos! I just inherited a tractor when my father in law passed and im learning all the uses for it and your videos have really been a blessing for me! Thanks again for all your info!
Thanks for helping me as a new tractor owner. Have bought several things you have talked about to make my tractor safer and work more efficient..
I purchased one of these for my 1025r . This this is great for over seeding and detaching. I bought it from Good Works tractor last year at this time.

Dethatching your lawn is one of the very important steps in maintaining a healthy lawn. Great product!

Looks like an upgrade for my 2023e. The hla you sold me was something I should have purchased years ago. Can't go wrong with your suggestions.
I just bought my first tractor it’s an old b8200, I love the versatility of the tractor and it’s getting better the more I learn
This video caught my eye. I am putting in a new lawn on 2 acres of former alfalfa field. I have a box blade, but this looks like a better option to clean up the "clumps". Plus future lawn maintenance. Great! Thank you.
More uses than I would have thought of… I like the gravel and trail maintenance ideas.
I could've used this attachment before I put down sod! I used a box blade instead but I did struggle to gather up the small debris and roots with the box blade. I ended up doing most of the debris pickup with hand rake. Love the videos!
I have not thought I needed a dethatcher but who knows. Maybe... You showed a lot of different reasons I need one.
Thanks for the video, we bought one of these from GoodWorks Tractors and it works great . My son in law is an arborist and this works really good to clean small branches when we take down a tree. 😊
Perfect solution for my mothers lawn that have several large pine trees. Removal has been impossible the past two years due to labor shortages.
Been using dethatchers for years on ball diamond renovations and regular maintenance for the diamonds. Excellent tool , good video.
Thats pretty cool. I live in the country and that would make taking care of the yard when there is heavy grass a breeze.
I use a one to keep the edge of my gravel drive clean. To stop the grass from creeping out. It's just an old crappie one I tow behind a 4 wheeler
I made a similar attachment 10 years ago. I wanted something to clear leaves and limbs for food plots deep in the woods. Turned out it did make a great looking seed bed. Now I use it for a number of uses around the farm.
I have a ton of projects that would be great for. Dethatching of course, but also seed bed prep and leaf raking/small tree branch collection too.
I have 11 acres of mixed oak and pine which drop a ton of leaves and needles. This tool looks like the perfect tool to clean up the forest litter. I live in the west where the fire danger is very high in summer and cleaning up this litter would contribute to decreasing the chance of a fire spreading.
I have an upcoming full lawn restore coming up and this tool would make the final grading and ultimate upkeep so much easier.
I think I need one of these for my lawn. Trying to get it to grow better next year. Would be great to put in new top still and spread it
If you have a decent piece of property to maintain and have a BX, this is a handy tool.
I learn something from every one of your videos! I have too much lawn, but one of these dethatchers will make it much easier to keep looking good.
Wow, looks like a handy attachment to have for property maintenance, I have a 1025r, 3 ponds and a lot of trees.
I live in Minnesota and was glad to purchase the CMP Dethatcher. It is everything as advertised!
Wish I had found this sooner, looks more useful than a landscape rake and much easier to handle. We live in heavy wooded area lots of trails and leaves that require too much time to keep after. Thanks for the demo!
Good works tractor is my #1 go to for informative tractor and attachment video's, keep up the great work.
Great ideas for using it for more than just dethatching your lawn. Would be a useful tool for sure!
Very cool unit it seems to have a lot of uses around the homestead. Thanks for showing us the operation
Probably one of the most valuable tools for your compact tractor. Multiple uses and easy on the wallet.
I use mine to break up cow pies in the pasture! Works great and spreads the manure out over a larger area.
I can see this would come in handy I have a lot of pine and oak trees hard to clean up thanks for showing me this
I've been using the 60 rake to prep yard for all new seeding this fall. Guessing works perfect for removing straw. This will be a perfect tool when grass is established as our yard is surrounded on 3 sides by woods. Love your videos keep up the good work.
This looks like a better solution than the landscape rake for cleaning up twigs after feeling a tree. Keep up the Good Works.
That is a pretty handy attachment. Easy to use and easy to store.
I have thought about a landscaping rake first but saw the original video of this and thought this would be better. Wanted to build my own, just like ballist weight, but like everything else, gotta plan out what I need, so on so forth.
Great rake! I like that it's not too aggressive.
Yes would be great for leaves and pine needles clean up.
Grabbing the leaves and pine needles in the fall, what a time saver!
This would be great to use around the woods here to clear off the trails in the spring.
I plan to set hatch and oversees this fall for the first time in my yard. I’m excited to see a thicker yard.
Nice job Courtney.
Often a simple tool is the best tool.
Dethatching is essential. You nailed the uses.
Good demo. I have a landscape rake which can be heavy handed on a lawn. This rake looks to be a good tool for clean up on large lawns.
Thx for yur videos & especially yur Droan pilot who captures yur (new) Orange tractor cutting that big field...while yur big Green 'JD' continues to live in the shop!🚜👨🔧👍👍
That would definitely be helpful after a storm for yard clean up and trail maintenance.
I like all that stuff you can do with it. It would be handy to use
I just planted new grass a week ago. I wish I had known about this before. Thanks for all the fair and well done videos.
dang, thats a brilliant idea. you can mow, dethatch and clean up random debris all at the same time! i live next to a highway and it is a pain, you get trash blow into the yard so you have to spend time prepping the yard, picking up all the trash and then the oaks...just cant keep their limbs to themselves!~ I wonder how well this would do with smaller sticks and things, but i could see it being useful on the gravel drive, in the fall/spring for overseeding and dethatching.
I'm getting my tractor delivered today! Interesting tool. I think I saw pieces of an old one in one of my fields
Definitely need one of these to attach to my Speeco hitch and clean up all the leaves on my property along with the annual dethatch.
We have several oak trees and lots of leaves and small stick every fall. This dethatcher would couple nicely with our BX2360 so my wife doesn't spend half of the fall raking leaves and picking up little sticks. Looking forward to seeing more awesome videos on your newly acquired property.
Awesome attachment with several uses that I have not thought of. Love your videos. Thanks
I have a lot of grass dethatching to accomplish at the end of each summer and leaves into the fall. This would be perfect for my application!!
That thing is slick. cool to have your info on all the attachments.
Good use for pine needles and food plot prep in the woods.
That works pretty slick. I think it’s on my list of must have goodies.
We do a lot of blackberry trimming on the property and this would be perfect for gently raking the cut vines off the grass! It would save me a lot of hand work and getting poked by thorns.
My lawn used to be a horse pasture, so this would do a great job of picking up all the tramped down thatch under the grass!
Looks like a very versatile and useful attachment. I didn't know I needed one until I watched your video, lol.
I really like watching your shows because they're not technical they're very informative thank you so much for sharing your videos with all of us
Boy I could use one of these for seed prep soon. As well as general cleanup. Like your channel. Very informative.
A great attachment with multiple uses for any homeowner.
Thanks for all the great information, was thinking about about a landscaping rake ,now I am rethinking it ,thanks
Looks like a great clean up tool for breaking down the garden at the end of the year… would work in either our bx25 or our lx2610… nice when you find something that could be used on either for different jobs… thanks for showing this little beauty off!
Looks like i could use one of those for my current project... seeding a new lawn. Thanks for the video.
Always nice to have multiple uses for your attachments. Sure beats using your back.
Skip this comment as I bought one from you last year. It works great. I use it for seed prep and some light raking. I'll be using mine again for overseeing here in just a week or two. Cheers!
