Great review, as always! Doc has been my most wanted figure since the line began and they really nailed it. I got two, so I think I might glue in those pouches and remove the vest from the second one for a more cartoon accurate look. Enjoyed your poses at the end, some good ideas there!
Got mine today. He wasn’t one of my favs, but he was on sale at GameStop so I thought “why not?”. He’s a pretty good figure. The reuse works well even though I think it funny they used the diaper from Shipwreck since they used the same legs. So the belt buckle has an anchor on it. About the only gripe I have is the taser is too thin. So I’ll swap it out with one of those weird pistols that every other figure has. Those look like tasers to me anyway.
Y’know, I can’t believe I just thought of this, but why did Doc not come with any medical equipment? Yeah, I know it’s due to cost, but man it would have been cool if Hasbro had designed a better stretcher, or given us bandages, or tourniquets, or an IV bag and pole.
looks a little like my father-in-law both my husband and his father are both military veterans. My father-in-law is a Vietnam war veteran and my husband served for SANDF
Good review sir. The stretcher folding up is a nice feature but the fact it doesn't stay rigid to carry the figure is miss. Maybe they will fix it for the retro version.
you're one of the few reviewers that mentioned the issue with the stretcher. that's why I watch your reviews. no kissing some toy brands ass here. 😂 I just got my figure and I love it but that stretcher was a huge fail. I almost returned it just because of that. I ended up gluing it straight with some e2000 cause I know it will be easy to remove later if I want. my only other gripe is I wish his glasses fit his head better. mine don't fit so well. I almost wish they had just molded the glasses on his head honestly. now I just need to find a stretcher bearer and a victim for the stretcher... I got a few early crap classified figures that I think will work OK there. 😂. id use my og gungho but that buck is WAY to big for that stretcher.
Doc has always been one of my favorite figures. I got him in 1985 with the "Original Adventure Team" mail-away offer. I was bummed when Hasbro and Amazon moved his release date, so when Amazon moved him back up I was stoked. I do think he is the best of this regular Classified wave. I was really disappointed in the modular vest with the 60th Anniversary Soldier. It was horrible! It's too bulky, and the pouches fall off way to easy. However, the vest on my Doc figure is great. Everything plugs in tight, and since he doesn't carry a rifle, the vest's bulk doesn't matter that much. I still wish it was easily removable, though. The Tazer is a great replica of an X-26 Tazer. I'm retired law enforcement, so I thought it was a fun addition. And, yes. I took the Tazer "ride". It's every bit as fun as you imagine.
Ordered mine from GameStop it was very annoying to get once i planned to get him sold out, within 24 hours back in-stock rushed to family dollar loaded funds and was able to get him monday july, 22 i'll finally have Doc in my set!
The pouch on his left leg is upside down on mine. QC started to take a dive again for classified. Watched your and a few other reviews to make sure I wasn’t incorrect.
Doc with the disruptor pistol totally suits him. He was no dork like that Lifeline. Doc disintegrates his enemies in the most painful of ways! yo joe!!

The original Doc is the first toy I ever bought with my own money.
Those bottles on his helmet are morphine bottles...

Yep
I need this figure
I swear you get these b4 everyone. Mine just shipped
Gamestop got the figures last week. People are sleeping on Gamestop when it comes to Gi Joe and Transformers.
@Damackism absolutely, GameStop was my hookup for most of this wave except for Torch (BBTS) and Night Creepers (ToyArena).
I found three in--store at Walmart last week. They're out there.
When you showed Doc with the glasses on and no helmet, he looked like Shannon Sharpe. Good review.
I’ve heard other people say that too
Awesome review as always. Huge fan. I just received my doc figure today. Love it!! Yo Joe!!
Thank you. He’s a really good figure.

😂😂😂 holy shit I never ever would have noticed his anchor belt buckle, good catch ⚓️
@@Astro319 Thanks. I’m guessing Hasbro was banking on that. 😂😂😂

The pill bottles in the helmet band kill me😂
You can use them for a custom junky 😂

4:08 the holster has the belt slide on the wrong side that’s a miss. And I hadn’t seen the boo-boo on the stretcher till now

It took me like 5 minutes to get his glssses situated under his helmet, they aren't moving. lol Not doing that again.
In the real military, a medpack on your back is so the guy behind you can easily access it.
Thank you, I have actually never head that before.
Was Doc a pacifist? I thought that was only Lifeline.
His original file card states he is "an avowed pacifist." However, he was sometimes shown with a laser rifle in the cartoon.
@@johnlogan9427 Sunbow was my reference for most of the 82-85 characters. Thanks for the info!

They could use retro Duke's arms to give him the partially rolled up sleeves to match the OG.
