You were intimately close to a HUGE event in KISStory. This show was the fuse being lit for KISS' next 30 years... kinda amazing. Had this show gone badly, they'd have faded into obscurity and been doing Con's to afford an apartment. Neat. I love KISS Man..
I was there up front! When they were signing autographs after the show and my girlfriend was Sandwiched between me and Paul (he was a bit elevated being up on the small stage) I had to put her hands on his ass to make sure she didn’t miss the moment! Lol!!

You have to remember these official KISS Konventions were the first time many fans had a chance to get up close to the band in such a laid back setting; especially with the rumor buzz of a reunion happening even by that early point. Paul literally asked them to shout out songs for them to "jam" on (even though they were well into rehearsals for MTV Unplugged which hadn't been announced yet). KISS weren't actually taking suggestions, they just made it look like they were taking random songs from the audience but they had a set list ready to go LOL! Either way, the vibe was electric; I went to the NY one and I'll never forget it. For 12 hours, people had a chance to hang out, attend clinics, buy and trade archived shows on VHS, posters, vintage magazines, etc. Things culminated in KISS showing up around 7pm to play a live acoustic set and then proceed to do a long autograph session afterward. All ending at about midnight. You had to be there, you'd be screaming too! Maybe you were?
My band Alive opened this show, with a set of make-up era Kiss.

@@tmznt thank you!
This is the only live performance of Mr. Speed that I've been able to find. Such a fan favorite. I don't understand why they never played it.

@@DrTomMD I mean, I don't understand why it was never in their live concert sets. I know it's in this video.
@@wm4short not sure either. It’s less of a pounding anthem song, but that’s what makes KISS cool, a level of variety.
🙋 I was there!!! 🤘❤️🔥

Wonder what happened to the girl that sang "Lets Put the X in Sex"
All grown up, hope she stuck to singing and is in a band!
Bro if that shit happened today people woulda called them all creeps and tried to cancel them
@@Swullmark rightfully so, it's really weird having a kid sing that song.
That was awesome.. she killed it. Great timing, for a kid who's never performed behind the stacks that was legit.
@PinkFloydBootleg a teen...

imposible ver a Gene con ese maraña de pelos tapando la mitad de la pantalla...
Stop screaming at the band. Just keep quiet and listen.
