wondered how to make a main menu in roblox studio? or how to create a shop which has working GUI? ive made lots of 2024 roblox scripting tutorials about all the different bits of roblox to give you some up-to-date information about all of its properties and events.
my goal is to simply give some insight on how to use the various features and instances roblox studio, and show you some fun stuff you can do with them. thanks for checking out this roblox scripting tutorial :)

i found an api that gives everything, it gives the ip, city, country, wifihost, etc. i mean rn im only using the city and the country, but i mean its very useful for scaring people

@dripyked the built in one will say "You have been kicked". making your own lets you do basically WHATEVER you want (other than stuff that can get your game taken down or banned
@@Youknowwho8782don't trust him. The api in the video is used because Roblox itself gives the country in a format like US for united states and CA for canada. What the api does is just convert it to the country's full name

To be honest this would be cool for like a very hard and intense boss fight and then the fake kick pops up and maybe the boss says like "oh sorry let me fix that" or something like that and he like breaks it and the boss fight resumes, if i was better at game dev as a whole i would definitely make that

Some advice to intensify the fear given by the message:
1. Correct some of the grammar, grammar always throws off any mood attempts.
2. Stretch the time on the "I see you" screen to around 2 seconds to let it sink in.
3. Use a typewriter effect and spell out on the black screen "Open the door." and have a knocking sound effect in the left speaker.
I've been working with horror genres for a bit, but none of my works are published unfortunately, as well as a bunch of unfinished projects, so I hope this helps with adding more spook to your game. Lmk if this helps. 👍

Hey, UE5 Indie Dev here, as you said, Roblox Devs or whatever y’all call yourself are often looked down on as you said which is why I think I have to say huge respect to y’all. Although there are way to many cashgrabs on Roblox there are also really cool ones! And I think that Roblox studio isn’t much different to normal game engines except the fact that multiplayer is already finished! I’ve tried Roblox studio and failed. I’ve tried unreal engine and am working towards being able to publish my first demo on steam and from then on post devlogs on RUclips!

Reminds me of a super old scam method where they were making fake roblox login panels in-game. This is pretty funny, but I imagine with the right amount effort could also be used for a lot of bad things

This could have huge scam potential.
Imagine getting a kick message, clicking leave, then it generates a fake login popup. In the panic they would rush to try and log back in and just give their login info to the scammer.

The fact it could happen is bad. I went on an alternative account just to play a scam game for fun. I added my alt's acc info. I got banned for spam and false advertisement. Wonder why? I got hacked and someone used my account to advertise on groups

This could be used for a lotttt of malicious purposes. For example. You could make the “leave” button active a pop up for “paying” and it will be like a shirt or decal called “reinstate compromised account” or something, like that with bigger ish words so kids don’t understand. Doesn’t even need to make sense just needs to look real. And some kids might even actually fall for it funny enough

Hello. I'm the developer of Start Survey. I made the 1001 code kick message. In order to get the actual Roblox kick message, you can enable the CoreGui service and rip the kick frame from there.
Yes, I hugged that game, I was very scared when that error appeared, from then on I didn't start playing that game anymore
extremely stupid as that’s not an error code that exist, it’s just some commmon fake error code number. it also doesn’t make sense at all as that should be illegal for roblox to monitor. just doesn’t even make sense from what you said too.
imagine doing this with perfect message size, disabling all player input, changing mouse iconto be like how its when player is kicked, freeze the audio, add the reconnect button and make it teleport you to the same game, add the leave button and make it kick the player out of the game, freezing player rendering, and saying some scary stuff like i know your location and ip, then showing random numbers and their country, you might say some of these are not possible, but they are recreatable, like instead of freezing player input you can anchor the player and make a loop that doesnt allow the camera to move, or to freeze rendering you can use viewport frames and collect the current frame, or to freeze the audio you can get currently playing audios and loop them.
also change the zindex to math.huge, so its basically the real kick message, only single difference is that you can open the esc menu and you have get actually kicked to leave the game.

I've never had an extremely popular game but I used to enjoy messing around with all of the players by making creepy messages too and I even had a pathfinding NPC that I'd drag around and it would appear rarely via math.random and if it appeared it would delete all of the other NPCs in the game and to scare people even more, I actually dragged the pathfinding NPC around to make it even scarier. I also had an entire replica of the backrooms inside the game for a short time too. It was so rare for the pathfinding NPC to appear that sometimes I just used DEX explorer to just drag it out of lighting. I used to love making games with creepy things like this and I think at one point I even attempted to remake a disconnected error. I actually made people think the game was haunted when it turns to night back then, I've made fake game loading screens too which was pretty funny.
I made a gamepass with 40 lines and the "Buy" button goes on to a "Click" button on a clicker game. If game detects afk autoclicker, you will be prompted with the gamepass then 7 seconds later will crash game and kick

Bro make a sword game where you rank up your sword and when you “defeat” the final boss you get kick message, then you click it and the screen glitches, and slowly unblurs and stops glitching, and the boss is now in its final phase! A glitch Boss that controls glitches and teleports.
another idea is when u try to leave it will rejoins back but in reality its just fake it didnt joined u back u didnt leaved and if u try to click rejoin it will acctually make u leave then when u rejoin to the game u now cant get out of the game only black screen without any guis with special script that disables alt f4 , mobile press button, close button now u are stuck there for forever

Just for anyone wanting to do this I would be really careful with the jokingly hacking threats. Those are against Roblox ToS and can get the game removed or even your account terminated. If u end up using this u need to make sure that it's clear that it was fake. Like either a few seconds after or something along those lines. If I were you I'd try to fake a normal kick message and turn it into something spooky or something along those lines and not toy with hacking threats.

*Tower Defense Simulator* (TDS) Developers also Made a pretty similar thing to this.
The hardest main mode of the game Fallen mode recently got an rework and they bringed the fan-loved hidden wave where ypu needed to speedrun the mode to get it (Hidden wave was removed in 2021)
To activate the Hidden wave;
1- Put 3 numbers specifically at the right order
2- Get your bade health to 1 (basically making you die to anything)
3- Beat the fallen king in 45 seconds. (This might've changed)
When you activate the wave fallen king does not die but gets mad at you and teleports away.
Then an mysterious voice Talks with you trough dialogues.
Then the game kicks (!) you
"You have been Kicked from the game. Reason : Beating the Fallen king" Then every text pn the message starts to randomize. After that you are greeted with a 1 Million hp fallen king with 60% shied (basically 1.6 million if you dont have anything that pierces defense)
And let me tell you, THIS MODE IS HARD.

i did this a while back and made an illusion module, i recreated the error screen, leaderboard, and chat and i also did some stuff with network to make stuff freeze just like if you were actually disconnected. the leaderboadd also gave you some creativity because it wasnt in coregui anymore, and you could modify it however you want.

Thank you for making this video. It gave me an idea for some of my roblox horror games. If you never made this, then i would still be stuck using the roblox studio toolbox for scripts.

What’s scary
Things that would improve this:
- Better sized kick message (there are some minor flaws, like the width)
- Tween Out animation for the appearance (like an actual kick message)
- Disabling chat, backpack, toolbar, playerlist, etc. to make the illusion of the client fully stopping

tbh, you should've made this indistinguishable from error code 273. That would scare them more as that means one of 2 things:
1. Someone logged into your account from a different device
2. You got banned

I love when games break the fourth wall using common UIs - I think I know of a game that fakes a game crash to build up to a jumpscare, but I just can't remember the name (or if it really exists in the first place). All I remember was that the game mimicked the Windows Error Reporting dialog perfectly, right down to the icon, progress bar, and wait time.
You could probably do something similar in Roblox if you tried - just freeze the player, prevent them from moving the camera, add a white overlay with a fade-in and the Windows 10 loading cursor, then bring up an error reporting window that mimics the Windows one.
This would work even better if you imitated crash dialogs for several different platforms too. macOS has a "App Name has quit unexpectedly." dialog with a bunch of optional debugging info, while Android has an "Unfortunately, App Name has stopped" dialog. iOS is complicated because it just goes back to the home screen when apps crash, and every home screen is a bit different, so good luck emulating that. You could scare less-knowledgeable players with a similar popup to the Android crash dialog, just with the iOS style instead.
The only problem with this is that each platform has fonts that Roblox doesn't have - Windows has Segoe UI, macOS and iOS have SF UI, and Android has Roboto, none of which are available in Roblox (if I recall correctly). While you could technically solve this problem with decals, it risks being inaccurate and blurry at higher/lower resolutions.
We also have the elephant in the room: the fake dialog can't be dragged outside the Roblox window, so you should probably do the scare before the player has a chance to find out what's really going on.
Also, at 2:53: Use the eyedropper tool to grab the exact color. Avoid approximating colors whenever possible for the best accuracy.

Yep I looked it up. For any nerds it falls under Roblox Community Standard's Security, Misusing Roblox Systems, Disruptive Content and Behavior: "Uploading content that contains obfuscated code or hidden scripts that mislead end users or create disruptive experiences for them." It could also break Safety, Threats Bullying and Harassment, "Threatening to take over another’s Roblox account or to file false abuse reports against another user". And logically Roblox probably doesn't want you to create account related panic.
Technically u could argue the first one is meant for something else but either way Roblox definitely doesn't want you to scare people with account related stuff unless its very obvious afterwards that it was just a joke. Then they might let it pass. But implying that u got hacked is very much a thing they don't want anyone doing.

You should make one like this but with the buying gamepass ui then script it to trigger when you click to purchase an in-game gamepass but it does nothing other than disappear when you hit buy or purchase or whatever, the player would be thrown off by how much robux it showed they have and when nothing happens after they buy it....

I feel like an idea you could try is making something like an easy obby. Since the main target demographic that would fall for that is young impressionable kids. So something like one of those bright colourful obbies. It would be engaging to them and incredibly easy to set up. Checkpoints work as normal but then one of the "checkpoints" has a touch script so when they walk on what they think is a checkpoint activates the scripts, maybe also freezing their character that way they wont be able to walk after they supposedly got "kicked" and have the obby continuing past that. That way the kick looks unplanned. Like they were supposed to keep playing but it got cut short because of this unauthorized login. Maybe have one of those "Get to the end for a huge surprise" messages at the top to also get more engagement and guarantee that more impressions will get far enough to actually experience it. (If that text gui doesnt also blur then I guess that doesnt work.) But I feel freezing the character on script activation is extremely helpful because when you get kicked you obviously cant move anymore, it ruins the illusion if you get that and then just keep moving. Just a couple ideas I had while watching through this. Great video though, I love this concept would be lying if it didnt give me a little bit of inspiration to make a funny troll of my own. A peculiar concept I have never seen before, I respect it.
