Note: Please do not attempt to use the malware shown in this video. Due to the popularity of the video, the behaviour of the malware most likely changed to put your own PC at risk.
If you do end up downloading some sketchy exe file, I would completely reinstall your OS. After you do that, change all your passwords.
Also stop asking what malware it is and how to set it up. You should never send malware to anyone, even if it is to "troll your friends".

@@acesmetanoia its literally just a backdoor that sends info to dc server instead of attacker's PC or server, why would Discord ever have to explain that? Its not discord's exploit or vulnerability, its normal malware, do you need browsers and every chat to also teach you about every single malware in existence?
What they should do, is monitoring webhooks that are actively used in any keyloggers/login grabbers/token grabbers/server raids and other stuff, you can delete them yourself if you find malicious one using various websites, but it would be nice of them to just automatically watch those, will it stop attackers? no, they will just stop using discord and go back to using pc/server to send the info to, but it will make people use way less "easy" accessible malware, cause most of them would not use anything that has to run on pc instead of simply webhooking to server

the worst part of doing a RAT (this malware) through discord is that you are communicating through discord's API. you don't put your IP directly and you can still use VPNs to make it harder for anyone to investigate this along with discord in case they are looking for you...

Nothing sketchy about this. Just someone who openly does lil passion projects wanting feedback on their latest work.
I clicked the link and it downloaded something called Pine Island. Instantly got logged out of discord and the discord login popped up.

I’ve actually been scammed by someone when I asked hacks for a game. What happened was they gave me a file to download which was the exact same hack as the legitimate one. I downloaded it, and it didn’t work. They told me to just forget about, and left. I didn’t think anything about it but deleted the downloaded files just in case. Next day I found out that I’ve been sending discord messages to my friend even though I didn’t text him at all that day. He told me I gave him a hack link and he downloaded it.
I then checked windows defender and turns out the file was a Trojan and a sketchy spyware which was trying to access my microphone and camera (luckily I don’t have either). Windows defender didn’t remove it, and all antivirus websites were blocked by the virus which also hijacked my browser. The only solution to this it to get a clean usb stick, put it in another computer, then download the Malwarebytes installer onto it. Then plug the usb onto the affected computer and download malwarebytes that way. Run malwarebytes and the virus is gone. I gave my friend the same usb stick for him to get rid of the virus.

I personally fell for one of those testing game scams, where this random person wanted me to play a game called “plague doctor” and so I clicked on the webpage, downloaded the zip file, unzipped it, and bam, next thing you know if I’m up until 1AM watching the password changed emails come in as I try to reset all of them. Bc I first got logged out of Discord, so I reset that password, and turned the computer off, then it said my VRChat, steam, epic games, Riot, etc. accounts’ passwords were changed, so I literally bursted out into tears, keep in mind, this was like 3 years ago, I’m now 15.
