Someone has written a job advertisement that quite accurately portrays a HGV drivers week but in the context of an office job.
    Any takers?
    * WANTED *
    Office staff.
    Hrs 9am -12 midnight 3 times a week
    9am - 10pm 2 days a week.
Will be required to sit at your desk for up to 4.5hrs at a time then take a 45min break which you won't be paid for but must stay in the vicinity of your desk.
Customers are well within their rights to talk down to you, abuse you and generally be awkward. There is nothing you can do about this and should you attempt to defend yourself you will be reported.
Expect any mistakes to be videod and splashed all over social media.
Should you run out of time whilst carrying out your tasks you will be expected to sleep behind your desk.
We cannot guarantee desk security and you may be held responsible should anything go missing.
Toilet facilities are limited, no canteen, or shops nearby.
When busy you will be expected to work Saturday mornings after sleeping behind your desk all week. It doesn't matter if you have a family. You must always put work first.
Also, any error in judgement may result in a large fine, jail sentence or even death of a member of public (which you will be accountable for) or yourself.
    Salary £10-£15ph.
I wonder how many applicants this job would get?

It's exactly like that except most if not all infringements are imposed by outside factors: e.g., silly people gluing themselves to the road, port closure due to wind while you continue to wait for a crane to load you ( nobody tells you they are now closed because all drivers are supposed to be telepathic don't forget), wakey, wakey 4am start to lift off empty box and go and collect 20 ft box, oh but they want to give you a 40ft instead, so you make all the necessary skelly adjustments and take the 40 and a mile down the road get told to go back and get the 20, so you lift the 40 because nobody listened to you and load the 20 but one minute out of the gate and you are told to take it back and load a 40 reefer by which time your conversation with the collection yard includes uncontrolled laughter from deep inside your natural sense of giggling humour and you are grateful for the early morning comedy so you go on your merry way and soon it's time to take a 45 minute break and then the whole world wants to know what took you so long. And a really nice Polish guy won't move forward two feet to let you out eventhough he knows he can do it because he's on a break and that would be illegal, well you gotta respect the law, and if you leave your card in the truck overnight then that's another infringment and don't forget the time you were on break and somebody turns up and if you don't move two foot the world will stop so you move two foot and restart your break from the beginning because that's legal... It's such a fun job with a palm tree being prepared to be rammed up your ideas the wrong way and although it hurts nobody gives a flying tree squirrel.

I’m watching videos to get tips on blindside reversing. This is just you showing us how good you are at it. Next time maybe explain some pointers on how you execute the reverse

Thanks for you comment and good luck in your quest !
Like learning a musical instrument it's 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 that makes perfect. That's literally the best tip I can give you.
Whenever you get the chance and you aint going to be in the way then give it a go.
Just go slow and always 𝙂et 𝙊ut 𝘼nd 𝙇ook (Goal) if you are uncertain of your clearances.
BTW. I never posted this as a "How-To". It was a spur of the moment thing whilst I was working in the yard and bored.
It was also quite a long time ago. I regularly feck it up these days. Probably because now I'm a full time shunter (I only shunted part time to help out back then) I just can't be buggered trying to be perfect anymore.
I've doing doing this mullarky 35 years now !

Fanny! Typical begginer mistake! Too much correction at the last moment! When will you ever learn!? Never mind! Maybe next time, lol! Slagging over! Take note "Drivers"! A very well positioned start to this well performed manoeuver, you have to ask yourself, could you???? .... Hmmm! Nice work, young man!
