Aside from Eldar Harlequin weapons (I'm biased because I've been thinking of doing a Harlequin cosplay), how about some of the sonic weapons used by Slaanesh Noise Marines? If the pics I've seen over on the WH40K Wiki are any indicator, their weapons look WILD!

Great build. Might try to make one with a pen spring and sides on the tab, so if you pull the pin it pops off for effect. #fraggrenade
Wouldn't you need to put another layer of pvc down underneath the spoon to keep the spring from digging into the foam?
@@TheMariusDarkwolf you could probably drill a small hole partially into the foam and add a little ho glue to hold the sprig end.

@@EvilTedSmith You and I both, he came round and demonstrated how simple it was to do washes on cosplay props, I am used to using existing washes on 28mm models and not making my own washes. Great bloke :)

TBH, I have never made any props with foam I have in the past made wood props like Star Trek phaser the original series.
First I carved them out of soap to learn then went to using wood.

Why? I spent years in the prop shop, and most of the time we would make rubber stunt guns a weapons so that the actors could carry them so that they wouldn't get weighted down or hurt when doing stunts. The only time when they held a real gun is when they were firing blanks.
@@EvilTedSmith I was thinking it would make it look heavy on camera. You’re right, though. Don’t wanna hurt the actors.
#fraggreenade Nice job, it looks pretty cool. One thing though, the"safety lever" is more commonly called a spoon. The safety mechanism on a grenade is actually the pin, the spoon is more like a trigger.
For watering, a technique that I like to uses is to spray the proper with a base coat of silver, then add whatever top coate color(s) that you want. Once the top coast is all dry, just lightly start adding away at it with some fine sandpaper or 0000 steel wool. This gradually reveals the base coat of silver and gives a very realistic worn/rubbed off paint look.The nice thing about this technique is that it allows you to control the mount of silver you wnnt espoxed, you can do it so that the silver barely showsunderneath the top coat, you can sand a more heavily to make show, or do a combination so that that it's really exposed and then fades to being barely exposed.
Thank you for the tip. I like using that trick on the bigger builds. For something like the hand grenade I wanted a settle light aging, it looks more natural to me.
so when i make a grenade i'm the one "arrested" and making "terroristic threats" but when you do it its ok???
