Extra tip from a Rain player for fighting Rain: in addition to delaying your getup, when dealing with that hard-to-block Sub Zero setup you always wanna block standing. The reason being, if you stand block you'll get grabbed by the whirlpool, then bopped by the overheads and bounced away, ending the combo. Where things get scary for you is if you block the whirlpool and take the overheads normally; now you've restarted the combo and if Rain has another charge of Sub Zero he can put you back in the same situation again. Much better to just take the extra couple hits and reset than to lose most of your health bar because you took 3 combos in a row.
Crazy. I literally woke up today and was like "I think I want to try and learn Rain today", opened up RUclips, and this was the first video at the top of my feed. The universe has spoken!
Another good button is 2 1 1 2, especially 2 1 1 since you can confirm it with his launcher or watergate to keep your turn, especially if you are running Kano, Stryker or Cyrax.
Hey Ketchup, Rain's B2 is actually hit confirmable. It's deceiving being a single hit but it has so much cancel advantage and animation that it's hit confirmable like Sonic said at ECT. I didn't think it was either When i first picked up the game i mained Rain, then Sindel, Reptile, Sub Zero, Kenshi and now Kitana Sub But I've always been a practice abd use every character to learn matchups

Ketchup is the best! He got me into rain on twitch. Thx again! 🍻🍻
Sub-zero and Stryker are his best kameos, but he has several options like Scorpion, Kano, Goro, or Sektor.
Don't forget sarenna too
Any tips for landing the Sub forward kameo after they bounce? I've tried everything and it never ever lands
Stand 1 forward kameo works, I guess
@@uzum6it doesnt

Goro kameo allows you to set a safe whirlpool every time you hit them with a goro after db3
Can you elaborate?
how can i perform that move comes with water gate, one time i see AI did it. i talk about that a wave comes out of water gate and hit oponent
I think it's BF2 enhanced, or the teleport move (DF2) enhanced
@Nighthunter387 im sorry but actually i new with this game
What u mean by bf2 or df2?

Honestly i feel like @ketchup should do all the DF tutorials...This was perfectly explained
Very difficult character to beat
Anyone got advice on dealing with Reiko while playing as Rain? I have a ton of trouble with him
Jump the projectile into DB1 portal as a delay...it enables you to close the distance
worst guide man
Why?? Do you know of a better one?
I seen a rain cancel his forward 3 into grab.
