Sektor is MAD underrated, so many characters benefit from him, but he requires labbing alot and people don't like that :/
Frost is also a underrated kameo,i don't see many people using her with most of the characters

@@KAVEIRAOBR she really is, great zoning potential, meterless combo extender, and gives you some really good chip damage off her stand hold kameo move, but sadly she just doesn't go that well with everyone, she DEFENITELY could use some buffs

Good. Because I'm sure they just missed it last time. You should continue posting the same thing over and over on every single one of their vids just to make sure they see it. I'm sure they never have or else they so obviously would've made it already. That's the only possible explanation.

@@BackwardGalaxyy'see Ketchup already confirmed (under one of my many comments) that the next Competitive History was another "Klassic Character" but for all I know he could be alluding to not only Liu Kang, but the only character he's done from the OG MK was Kano so they could do literally any other character... Although if I were a betting man they're probably saving Sub-Zero & Scorpion for last for obvious reasons.

Rain has always been my favorite character in the series. Even though I still do wish he was more kombo heavy, I am very pleased with the direction these buffs have been pushing the character, deadly up close, and solid from afar.
Great Video Ryan, I dont know why some people want MK1 to fail, this game just keeps getting better and better. This game is like the story of the Turtle and the Hare. Mk1 had a slow start but is quickly catching up and turning out to be a great game
It's the same people that have always irrationally hated MK games. Bitter Tekken/SF weebs. They always hated MK for being the most successful and popular fighting game, most of these weirdos just hate western products, it's pretty sad. The main MK reddit sub used to be *full* of them, but over the last couple months as it's become evident that MK1 is the most competitive, well balanced and well designed fighting game on the market they've kind of been drowned out by the actual fans of the series which are now returning to the sub since it's no longer brigaded as heavily as before and you don't get massively downvoted for simply stated that you enjoy the game.
I've been taking a break from MK1 but I do hope that Takeda brings me back. Might try Li Mei and Mavado too. Love the vids as always, this team is so unique.
An interesting thing about Rain for me is how - despite the engine's capabilities - his water effects always felt "overly solid".
I mean I would expect it to be if it's supposed to do any damage, otherwise the enemies would just be getting a shower.

I think that's the point. It's supposed to feel solid because he's using it as a weapon.
I suppose you folks may have a point, although "pure" water doesn't really change its transparency (i.e. feeling of solidity) based on volume - and as far as density, well, that can't really be manipulated unless you contemplate additives.
Now, I know this is a bit of a self-defeating argument because realism isn't exactly king in MK - BUT, by the same rationale you could very well have a clearer-looking liquid that wouldn't feel like someone's trying to get around semi-transparent material rendering, and which would still imply "power of impact".
Sektor is my Favorite Cyborg and I enjoyed him as a Kameo, I’m still not losing hope for him being a Playable Character.
Hate to be that guy, but I think him being a Kameo character lowered his chances of being playable big time

@@Kanzuki Nah. I dont foresee them skipping popular chars like the robots for 2 games in a row. Its more likely they will be playable in their human forms, since they are mentioned in character endings. That why they are unique from their kameo counterparts. Scorpion, Sub, and Lao are also kameos yet still playable.

I think u now got me wanting to learn sektor with rain Ketchup cause thats some saucy stuff the synergy has. I been back on darrius with rain but its missing something so want to try something new. Good job on the vid 🙂
I am playing rain and am excited for everything you show. I haven't spent much time with the game due to sf6 but with the depth you are able to explain things it feels like I'm cheating haha. Thanks for the work!

Gonna have to try this out. I really like Rain, but I’m far from good with him. Same with Sektor, but this video breaks down what makes both of them appealing to me and the combo of them is very exciting.
I think I'm gonna pick this game up now. This Rain + Sektor team-up really is intriguing.

After you hit the opponent with flame burner in the corner, you can do F3 and dash cancel into 11 to either combo on hit or continue pressure on block!
Ketchup and Sektor go together like Mustard and Cyrax. (And secretly Relish and Smoke).

F1 for the most part is pretty outclassed by Rains other mids, but what I do like about it is that it is much better at hitting opponents out of the sky
I think doing F1 into flame burner or maybe uppercut would be a great way to make Rains keep away a lot scarier!
You & Mustard need to make a list of your favorite fighting game characters Sektor & Cyrax are given, but I'm talking about other franchises you guys love. Not to mention the conversation your community would be able to have in that regard.

I think you should check out Sindel Sektor. With the missles and Sindel's ability to speed up kameo cool down it makes a fun team
I think that ending corner combos with f21 db3 does slightly more damage than 114 db3. It's like less than 1% more so it's not that big of a deal but if we're being super optimal it's there
With tele punch you can jump cancel into special moves
Sektor is my favourite character.
Missiles can also be used effectively to armor break wakeups. Time it to where missile and the start of your next string hit right as they standup. Armor wakeup spammers get destroyed.

I personally really enjoy using Scorpion and Sektor together, though I sometimes swap out Sektor for Shujinko

Sektor is such an excellent Kameo, and it's not just the Missile that is great for Zoning but also his Teleport Punch. Yes it's a Summon move but the cooldown is much faster and it can go through anti-projecitle moves like Khameleon's Purple Glow, so the opponent has to hold them, making them respect your Zoning even more. People sleep on this Kameo too much.
I'm using Omni-man with Sektor and Sektor lets me get in in the fight. Something that I couldn't do before because I played really defensive with other kameos and that goes against me, because I prefer to attack. Wish Sektor and Cyrax were characters and not kameos tho.

I'm not super convinced by the team. It just feels like a worse Janet pairing for rain IMO?
They get similar combos but Janet gets more damage and doesn't lose HP.

Sektor is like Grandma's Hotsauce. I put that Sht on everything. But for Rain Sektor that Restand into 50/50 is Top notch. I wouldn't be putting them together for combos tho. More for utility. Rain got bo's on his own. And these cancels ain't worth jack online unless you got robotic hands. But this team Destroys zoners (cept Reiko).

Wooow Ketchup very nice job, I have a question, how you do the ddu after b3, because its very tight, what setup do you use on controller ex small/Mid/large input please help me, I love this stuff, but i got stuck whith this ddu. Greetings and keep up the good work.
It's just really hard.
I do suggest playing on medium or long input window though. That makes it a little easier.

B3 into DDU is hard, but can be done with practise. only suggestion is dont play with short input window, medium is the one i use and there's more room to get it.

Sektor ain't bad. It's just that Janet and Khameleon are running the show for nearly every character now. NRS needs to look at that.
Ngl Mavado is way better for Rain imo. I literally did a video yesterday going over the basics, and the damage is crazy

@@RoyArkon Relax, OP isn't wrong and Janet DID receive a damage nerf this patch so clearly NRS agrees. Khameleon is utterly ridiculous and she needs to be looked at, she should be on the level of someone like Mavado whose not overly oppressive but is still good
@@uratheboi1555 That doesn't contradict what I said. Janet Cage getting a nerf doesn't mean other Kameos aren't good. If you wait for nerfs just to give other Kameos a chance then it's on you, not NRS/WB. Speaking of Khameleon, Sektor himself nullifies Khameleon's Purple Glow since Teleport Punch tracks the opponent while still not being a projectile itself. So Sektor is an excellent MU against Khameleon.
i think mk1 rain is much more harder than mk11 rain his mk1 special move cancel makes it harder than his dash cancel in mk11, so in mk1 i switch to both kitana & mileena for executig basic and flashy combo's. i love rain since mk9 but mk1 rain 🤔🤔 i love my cotroller more than rain so sorry rain 🤣🤣
