I've considered relocating to Charlotte and just haven't made that move yet. But now I think I'm going to look into it more. Thanks for this video.

Then Beatties Ford is West Chlt it goes from the Bojangles by I77 all the way to Huntersville & that’s extra hood please stay away. Both have serious gang issues that doesn’t apply to you I’m sure. I tried Deltona Fla it was ok just too hot for me. I love Carolina weather not being biased cuz I’m from here but I’ve tried NYC, ATL, Chlt but came back to the beach area in SC. It’s nice down this way only few hrs away from all the non drivers & the crime. When there’s a show it will be during the week so off for that but it’s always been like that. No entertainer wants to be in Chlt on wkend when club or bars close at 2:00am they wanna turn up all night. Shows are normally on Tues or Thur nights when ppl have to work next am pretty lame for that. But the economy in Chlt is strong & thats all that matters at the end of the day. I lived in the Charlotte area several years ago, the Char Meck school district does need improvement, I also didn't like having to pay a separate car tax. I also hear it's hard to find decent affordable housing there now, because the amount of transplants moving to Charlotte, has increased the price of an apartment. I did like Charlotte for the restaurants, stores, entertainment, the pretty views during the autumn season.

I'm from Broward county, been her for about 2.5 years. Charlotte is a family friendly city, however their schools systems aren't very good. The best school system so far from what I've learned from others is union, Monroe, cabbarus counties and if you want to move further up Raleigh and Durham. Charlotte is diverse, but if you're a foreigner as I am, you won't find all the different types of foods, fruits, vegetables, restaurants, fresh seafood you'd find in south Florida. The pay is alot better here, and the cost of living...I don't see the difference, but some will say it's cheaper as far as apartments are concerned and I've looked around at homes and I'll say it's slightly different, but not the point where you'd say you're getting a whole lot more for your money, but this is just my opinion.

Don’t move to Charlotte unless your used to humidity and your job is inside. I came from California and my job is outside. Even Phoenix heat feels good compared to Charlotte humid heat. I lasted 3 days and came to California. That humidity gave me a suffocating sensation. I thought Cali weather was overrated. It really does have the best weather. Sucks because I really wanted a house but I’d rather live in an apartment with great weather

You can live in Charlotte area and always go visit Atlanta or the Raleigh-Durham area or even Greensboro. I am tired of living in Atlanta. It will always be a home to me in some form or fashion but Charlotte will be my next home for sure. The LYNX train is the light rail there and it is pretty nice and clean but not big like Atlanta or Miami.

Living in Jacksonville is not so bad for me. Yes it can be boring, but I have a good life here with major shopping at the town center if needed (which it's not needed for me), beaches, quick trips to orlando/st aug, airport, great school for my child, etc. Also, my home is nice and affordable, and no state tax. I guess it's all about perspective. Now there are some major cons but every place has them. Will probably move eventually, long-term, but ijs it can be a great place for some.

I’m born and raised here and only issue I have with this place these days is the over crowding is getting crazy and the crime and drugs are getting worse…unfortunately the housing is getting so expensive that the people that are from here are being pushed out of the area. Most ppl can’t drive because so many people from different states are trying to still drive how they would in their old state… I hate it when people get in the passing lanes and go slow… don’t use their turn signals properly or drive around with their bright lights on blinding other drivers…pay to get those headlights fixed or get glasses if ya can’t see to drive (or better yet go home and park the car before u get someone hurt or killed) goddess forbid if someone gets blinded by bright lights and hits a pedestrian or car head on because they couldn’t see them… it’s dangerous the way people drive around here so I totally agree with u on that. The DMV should make people learn our road rules when they move here. Even the headlights on when wipers are running law no matter how stupid some think it is it was made for a reason.

It’s where you go for vacation or when you already make it; you must have money regardless how delusional people feel. People are out there roommating like hell just to fake a lie about “ the sun is so beautiful” or they’re living in their cars or in the streets or running rooms off Craigslist. That’s all I’m going to say. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL 🙄.
The weather is always under a hurricane watch, tornado watch, flash floodings after simple rains, and thundering like hell. That sunshine only shows 10-15% of the time which most aren’t honest about. The pay rate also is low pay rate as well with only nursing jobs mostly or you’re going to be stuck in service work. Regardless of what you study in college it will be limited to no opportunities except possibly nursing or other jobs that may exist but it’s not high in good employment. I’m happy you were bold and confident to take the leap of faith to leave it all behind to live a better life for you. That’s what I’m doing currently.

I moved from Charlotte (after being there for 7 years) to Jacksonville and it was the WORST decision of my life!!! I was not even in Jacksonville for a year before moving to Altamonte Springs, FL (next to Orlando). Everything that you said about Jacksonville in this video is TRUE. After 6 years in Altamonte (which I LOVED), I am back in my home city of Raleigh, NC, married, & thriving!!!! Best wishes to you AllThings Therapeutic!!! I hope that your move to Jacksonville is in no way like mines was!! TakeaG enjoy the Queen City!!!

You won't have any issues finding a stylist. I don't know what line of work you're in, but/ and I hate to say it. You're probably going to end up pissed at yourself as far as employment is concern. Jobs in Florida do not and I repeat do not pay as much as they do here, but again, maybe you'll have a different outcome. However, the cost of living is a little lower there as far as apartments are concerned, but good luck.

@@williamlittle1592 I move from fort Lauderdale to Jax. I completely and totally hated it, I think I suffered there for about 2years and made some changes then found my way out. However, I'm in Charlotte and it's been 2.5years. I was all positive at first, then things changed but it is a far better experience than Jax, that's for sure.

omg heyy girl , I’m in Houston and currently starting cosmetology school but I wanna leave after I graduate soo bad ! I’ve been researching North Carolina so much . And joining the hair industry I feel like I’ll have more opportunities since houston is so saturated . I’m only 18 so I think this will be a new establishment for myself . Any areas you recommend?
