Do you find it difficult to open up and be your full, "messy" self with other people? If so, what gets in the way for you?

I guess the 'frustrating' feeling I get is because I feel the conversation was not 'perfect' or I was thinking all the time what to say next which is just unsatisfying... 3:36
11:53 I feel like this for almost everyone because I am anxious while talking to anyone new except my childhood friends and some close family members...and i have noticed if I am not anxious I don't feel that ...
Will give some more thought on this...and the tips u shared...

Yes! Thinking about what to say next is very, very common with anxiety and can make social interactions feel unsatisfying.
So glad you're thinking about this topic - gaining awareness about your patterns is a necessary step and *so* much better than continuing on with social interactions, completely unaware of when/why you have trouble.
Huge thanks to you for asking the question about this topic, and please don't hesitate to reach out if other social anxiety questions come up.

@@DrTynessaFranks yeah that's true i find myself falling back when it's time to be vulnerable

@@introvertedwolf128 Yep, many people just shut down completely or keep the conversation topics very "surface".
It sounds like you are at least aware of this behavior. Some people notice that their relationships are not as satisfying or close as they'd like and don't (yet) realize that it may be due to their own lack of vulnerability and self-disclosure.
