    🧠For those surprised (or upset? lol) by my case for Robert's type being different than the internet's "consensus opinion" - idk sometimes the "consensus opinion" can be really poorly thought through or biased?
    This is why I research so much for my videos. I want to collect evidence for myself. I want to be thorough and thoughtful. I need to question and think through things. I want to see for MYSELF what consistent personality patterns emerge if I watch hours of clips of that celebrity in different contexts. It's really important to me to be able to stand behind the arguments I make in these videos with real evidence. (95% of the evidence btw I never even show in these short 13 minute videos or even on the Patreon Twitch Streams). It's totally fine with me if you personally don't agree with me or really want him to be a different type - you do you...but on this channel I have to be honest about what personality patterns I find or don't find or else what's the point? I'm not here to just blindly parrot back what Personality Database says.
    Going back to Robert - again totally fine if you disagree! - but I'd hope if you're here in this MBTI community and learning - todays video can be a gentle reminder that it's not just NP's that like to explore possibilities, play, imagine and are "random", fun, creative and scattered. If you personally think that, that might be a blindspot worth looking into. There's a whole other wonderful group of types that also love doing those same things, just in a slightly different way. Thanks for listening ✌regardless of if you agree or disagree thanks so much for being here and I hope you enjoy the videos. I make them for YOU! 💙

      Anybody can do anything. Looking at "skills" won't help you type anyone. Someone with lead Se may have better intuition than an intuition dom. Anything a person with Ne does - an Ni person can do too. Try looking at what makes them stressed, what are the reoccuring PROBLEMS in their life, what do they struggle with, what do they avoid doing, what do they FEAR. That's a much more reliable data because you'll see there's a big difference in TONE when they speak about things. Easy, no problem kinda vibe - that's their lead function. Serious, that's the real deal, that's the real problem - that's their lowest function.

    • @user-bq6tw9fq7w
      @user-bq6tw9fq7w 2 года назад +3

      That said, if someone is an IxxP they have their identity function first. So wouldn't it make sense for them to know who they are, to know what they want, to be confident about their identity? It's their top function, it's what they do 90% of the time. They are the measure, the standard of what's good or bad, what makes sense and what doesn't. What other people think is the last thing the'd be looking at. It's a mememe story. Watch something when he's not goofing around, but trying to convey something meaningful, something important to him. Someone with high Fi-Se won't talk like that. He's very aware of what other people think of him and can't get it out of his mind. And says nothing about himself. And it's an NF amount of analogies, over the top amount. All these clips are from shows where he's EXPECTED to be goofy and funny and play along with other people and he does that (Fe?Ne?). In this video he seems more genuine ruclips.net/video/Vct9CyAp4LE/видео.html

    As an INFP, I must say THANK YOU Eric for taking a stand against the "headache factory" (AKA Personality Data Base), and actually taking the time to truly analyze a person rather than basing things off of stereotypes. The sheer amount of bias that emanates on PDB gets SOOOOO frustrating.
    I love your analysis, and it definitely is apparent that RP is an ISFP rather than an INFP. There are some people that get offended when somebody they like gets typed as something other than their own type (which is quite ridiculous), but I personally always favor honest opinions over the "groupthink" methodology....groupthink makes me cringe hardcore....I am way too independent minded for that lol.
    I love RP, I think he is a spectacular actor, and an excellent representative of the ISFP camp. You ISFPs are amazing!

      so like.. think of a ball in a room.. enfp tobey is like a bouncy ball in a room.. its loud, and excited but it has like a more balanced syncopation. - thing of a golden retriever.
      then infp its like a rubber ball - depending how hard your throw it, its going to jsut start bouncing all over hte place.. then slow down and then start bouncing around again, but its not balanced.. sometimes its fast sometimes its slow.. but it doesn’t know where its going. - think of uhhh.. a shy excited dog that occasionally comes out to play and then quickly flees. but wants to play.
      as for like other personality’s like J - there is a wavy flow to the ball, like there is control. but its being volied, not slapped.
      hoe that helps.. or i’m completely wrong but thats the feeling i get. :)

      @@hatterene39347 I honestly am confused. Ti is heavily displayed when she is being interviewed. She answers questions in an abstract manner which hints at Ne, and she is also very specific which may indicate a Ti - Si usage. This would mean she's Se blind and funnily enough; I don't really see Se PoLR in her case. She is seemingly aware of her surroundings, and the fact that she can be awkward sometimes may "block" her Se from being detected. ISTPs are just as capable of being awkward like INTPs but we know which one gets stereotyped as being a socially awkward nerd lol.
      I haven't made too much research on Kristen Stewart to make a confident stance. She speaks in a constructed manner, and she is pretty articulate. Maybe, her being precise in her speech could have to do with her being able to narrow things down in order to understand something (Ni)? Or maybe she is just very precise in her speech and pays great attention to detail (Si)? Those arguments can be interpreted at either Si or Ni.I guess that's where my confusion lands. it's all up to theory in my opinion. Ti dom and Fe inferior seems to be generally accepted by the online community, I can never be too certain about celebrities because they only show parts of their personality to the world. I am an INTP and I sometimes see my own thought process in her way of thinking. With that being said, I lean more towards Kristen Stewart being an ISTP overall. I'm only 55% sure haha. You always take so much time to execute accuracy and I totally agree rob is an isfp, (I never noticed how many times he talks about his love for extreme sensory experiences!?) I feel like people are sometimes bias based on the mbti ‘vibe’ of someone rather than truly analysing them. Also, you don’t have to at all, but I would love to know your thoughts on j.k. Rowling… there is so much debate surrounding her mbti, whether she is an infp vs infj?! 😊

    I’m an ISFP and I totally respect your opinion but I think this is a major mismatch. Before you consider if there’s Se or not, I always thought he’s way too lost in his own head to be a sensor period. He always comes up with ridiculous answers and exudes that sort of chaotic Ne you would find in enfps. He’s always looking for vastly different roles and different possibilities. Not that much grounded in the real world at all. He def goes with his gut and what ‘feels right’ to him and that includes how it feels overall environmentally and physically as well. But he doesn’t doesn’t go far as perceiving underlying patterns. And in there I see a lot of N but not necessarily Ni like us ISFPs. But I’m not saying he’s an enfp either. I think his a lot of his “Reactiveness“ has do with him being more comfortable in the spotlight. If you look at his older interviews before he was famous he’s definitely an awkward introvert.

      Yup I was just boutta say this. I think Eric being an INTP, his own Se blindspot has made him misjudge what “Se” actually is in this case. Robert always seemed to say whatever was on his mind, in a very, chaotic way. That just screams Ne to me.

I'm also pretty delighted that you typed him cause I've long wondered what he is! I'm super curious though-the difference between ESFP and ISFP is just the order of the dominant traits, right? What are your thoughts on typing him an Fi Se Ni Te rather than an Se Fi Te Ni?

    • @talkshh
      @talkshh 2 года назад +9

      there are more differences, he made videos on esfps like justin bieber and logan paul already if you wanna watch.
      i am esfp and we are more scared about the intuitive patterns of Ni, while their Fi pops up more, you see rob is completely himself and doesn’t filter anything while esfps are more filtered and look at the context and situation more. and rob says he doesn’t like doing what he doesn’t like while esfps can do that more using Te to make logical actions even if we don’t feel happy doing it. aside from that we’re really alike.

    • @EricWen
      @EricWen  2 года назад +6

      Yes “tash” made some good points. It’s too much to fully explain in a comment but the clues come from how the functions are working together and playing off of each other. They work together differently with both types, despite using the same building blocks.

    Actually to be honest I wanna know all the GOT7 members but especially Jackson Wang.

    • @hatterene39347
      @hatterene39347 2 года назад

      Jackson is an obvious ESFP imo.
      "Nobody knows you better than yourself, so you shouldn't care about other people judging you too much"
      "Everyone has a diffrent standard to happiness, you have to find out what that standard is yourself"
      He seems intact with his own standards and values which typically points more towards Fi>Fe. And I barely see any Ni in him, and he seems to have good/developed Te. I think its important to remember that he is also an enneagram 3w2 which is gonna come off as more "performative" and "Fe like". If you compare him to JB (INFJ) for example, I think it's clear Jackson doesnt have high Fe or Ni lol. He also got ENFJ on the test so that also probably had influence on the internet consensus.
      Overall this is what I think all the members types are:
      Jackson: ESFP
      Jay B: INFJ
      Jinyoung: ISTJ
      Bambam: ESTP
      Yugyeom: INFP
      Mark: ISTP
      Youngjae: ISFP
      Hope this helped!

    I would really be interested in understanding how you figure out which cognitive function goes first. Like when I saw all these high-energy interview bits, I figured Robert would be an ESFP instead, and the difference is really just in the order of the functions. How do you make that final differentiation?

    • @EricWen
      @EricWen  2 года назад +7

      In the raw clips - Robert's strong individualist side was much more clear and pronounced - very strong personal identity, he's always referencing back to what feels right to him, he sees himself as sorta separate from the group and wants to do his own thing even if it's really weird - together, that pointed to IxxP not ExxP. Also the way that his Se and Ni work together very naturally is very different than how it'd look for an ESFP.
      In terms of figuring out the order of the functions - it's all about how the functions work together. We all use each one (even the lower ones) all the time, but they play off of each other differently with different types. On Patreon I have a video talking about the nuances of how your 1st 4 functions work together and one of the analogies I like using a lot in that video is where - your first function is like your head, it's the most sophisticated, it's the command center, it's automatic, you can't turn it off, you would be fundamentally a different person if you ever stopped using it or tried to "cut it off". Whereas your second function is like your right hand, it's a tool that you can "turn on and off" - you have to intentionally use and it helps you stretch and reach new things you wouldn't normally run into if you were just a floating head. The third and fourth functions are like other body parts and also have their own unique role in the ecosystem.
      So for an ISFP vs an ESFP - there's a big difference between whether the Fi is "the head" or the "right hand" - the role the function plays is different - and how it fits into the ecosystem and works together with the other functions is very different.
      hope that can help.
