Oh thank you for letting me know! I really worked at it. I certainly used the animated movie by Rankin Bass as a bit of a guideline! Cheers. 😊

You’re welcome 😊. Glad you found me and enjoyed this.
This truly did my heart good. You have a true gift as a narrator, and I am so grateful you've shared it!
Wow, thank you! So glad to hear that. This encouragement keeps me going. Grateful to the author and publishers for putting out amazing material for me to “perform” for you all! Hope you enjoy some of the other stories I did on here! Cheers!
Oh that was wonderful! Thank you so much for doing this. This is the first video series I’ve seen if yours, but won’t be the last! 🦄 ✨ 🖤
I'm so glad you found me/our little community of readers, 3 Eyed Tiger! If you liked this one, I’ve read a couple other classic fantasy novels on here that you might enjoy - The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King and His Majesty’s Dragons by Naomi Novik. I’d love to have you check out and would enjoy your feedback from there!
I was introduced to Peter S. Beagle through the animated movie, as well as the novel/audiobook version of The Last Unicorn that and watched the animated film when I was a kid growing up in the 80s.
As did I! I loved the story in the movie, the characters, the voices, the Red Bull! It was great to catch all the words and little things in between that are in the book. After reading it cover to cover with you all, I was surprised how faithful the movie was to the book!
Really enjoyed this, thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading it with me!
@@NickSalvatoriello my pleasure!
Thank You so very much for having read this! The song was a very good ending. This has got to be my favourite audiobook. Hope you are able to keep making these videos. Having them read off the cuff works, too. Sometimes wonder if we have all gotten too streamlined! Totally forgot about "companion spider".
Ha ha yes the companion spider line from Shmendrick also stood out to me. So great. He knows the formula and tropes too well. 😆 I’ve very much appreciated your encouragement and support, Hunter! I’ll record some more sessions off the cuff soon. It’s been too long!
@@NickSalvatoriello the singing and prologue was also excellent , will be listening to others, thank you, Y
It was so lovely and comfortingly to hear this. Like listening to a friend who enjoys exquisite wordplay and refreshing storytelling as much as I do. I've listened in while cleaning up, while making stew (funnily enough that came about the time Molly was complaining about another mouth to feed), and while doing art. Thank you, friend, for accompanying me in these solitary moments.
(BTW, I'd say my favorites you voiced were Mommy Fortuna, Captain Cully, and Jack Jingly. Just some fun extreme ends of various pendulums.)
You get it. You are very welcome. Thanks for reading with me. Did the best I could but also, it’s a guy reading a book, this is what it is, you know? Glad you enjoyed the voices, my favorite part of doing these. I did a couple other fantasy novels on here if interested. Thanks for letting me know you are listening! Cheers.
@NickSalvatoriello there's certainly a time for a professional narrator. But the imperfections (or, more accurately, just reading through in a single take) gave me a sort of rainy day in creativity feeling. It contributes to that sense of literary comraderie. It's a Persian flaw. 😊 I definitely will check out your other works. Thanks again!
4:02 beagle makes the same typos i do lol. those words have no right to be so similar.
Ha thanks for catching and commenting! a reminder that we are all human!!
