Pretty sure they couldn‘t give usb 3 to the standard iphone bc of the a16 chip. It probably hasn‘t the controller for such speeds integrated and the a17 pro does. I think iphone 16 will get the 10gig support and 16 pro/ultra will get thunderbolt
Apple had 2 sneaky additions to the AirPods Pro 2 USB C case version. They now advertise lossless wireless audio (only with the vision pro). They also carry an IP54 rating on both the AirPods and case instead of the IPX4 the Lightning version has. You can’t buy the case by itself for the Airpods Pro 2 because the case is integrated in Find My just like the buds. The original AirPods case was just a battery and had no real smarts to it which is why the MagSafe case was available separately.
I guess the limitation of USB2.0 in 15s is due to A16 chip. I strongly believe USB 3.0 will come to 16s and thunderbolt or USB 4.0 to 16 pros next year. Similar to iPads.
Im very disappointed that we didnt get fast charging with usbc even on pros. Likely next year 16 pro update will have fast charging, feels like apple is sometimes trying to stretch these updates
another sneaky thing not mentioned is the iphone 14 Pro & Pro Max trade in value is less than what the 13 Pro and Pro Max values were when the 14’s came out. mind you the 14’s had a price increase but now their value is $70 less than the 13’s maximum trade in value last year
The only thing keeping me from being 100% set on buying a base model 15 is the spacial video on the pros. I can't help but think I'll regret not buying the pro and having spacial video right when it's first available. But I guess that's how they get ya.

It probably have a 2d version saved from one of the camera’s capture, so you can watch on the phone, it wouldn’t make sense to shoot a video on your iPhone and not be able to watch it

It's like you haven't noticed the MagSafe charge cable. You know, the thing that will charge both the iPhone AND lightning + USB-C AirPods with the wireless charging case. In fact, if you have the watch as well, forget about the MagSafe charger and just use the watch charger for you AirPods. There is little reason to upgrade the AirPods (until you get a Vision Pro).
Those cameras are so close together the 3D effect must be pretty minimal. The software and hardware must be working overtime to produce a good 3D image. 😂

I don’t know either, but I’m guessing that it’ll have 8gb as they’ve given the chips the “pro” labelling, so next year when they give the base model the same chip with only 6gb they’ll just remove the pro labeling
Don't forget that the AirPods Pro 2 have wireless charging AND can be charged with an Apple Watch charger... Ive only plugged in my AirPods like once I just throw them on a wireless charger every night.

Triple AAA gaming on Mac is not dependent on M3. My 14" M2 Max has 10 teraflops, the same as the PS5. The issue is developers not wanting to put their games on Mac.
I like that Apple is introducing USB-C earphones. This will incentivize trend chasing companies to build USB-C audio equipment with built-in DACs. Which, as an audiophile, is definitely something I desperately want normalized.
Why is no one talking about the fact that they said the fast USB cable is "OPTIONAL". Does that mean the pro phone is capable of fast USB transfer speed but they don't even give you the high speed cable in the box? After you spend 1100?? Not one RUclipsr has mentioned this
Hopefully, the earlier pro iPhone, such as 12 or 13, would also be allowed to record spacial video... they do have these cameras after all, albeit not necessarily 48 mega pixel ones. Time will tell.
For watching spatial video you don’t even need Vision Pro. Apple could make it possible to be able to watch this also on the iPhone while having finger gestures like swiping or pinching in the 3D Video to look around. Won’t come I bet.
Technically the reverse charging part is better than the reverse wireless charging. The reason why is because you would actual transfer more power to the device than you would by using the wireless. Wireless charging does waste electricity.
I'll miss the lightning connector because of the way it "locked" into the port but understand it's time to go. Hope they can update usb c in the future.
How does the adapter even help you charge the lightning AirPods? You would then need a lightning to lightning cable. A regular usb C to to lightning by itself would be easier, no?

I think you forgot that for 3D video, the IPhones have a LIDAR sensor that can capture tons of data for accurate depth and measurements.

I don’t think they ever tell you how much RAM is in the phones. We normally get it in teardowns.
