"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

Abby doesn't really get upset if her dancer comes in 2nd place - as long as another of her dancers take 1st. She realizes they can't both be 1st, but she wants both dancers to fight for the top spot.

Savannah’s solo was absolutely amazing. She’s so talented! The passion and POWER she has on stage, she commands your attention. The beautiful song and the costume pulled it all together.

I personally think lilly’s was much better. Savannah did the exact same leaps and moves 2+ times, but Lilly did more of newer things
yeah lilly also had to use a prop and had different moves. her dance was beautiful, don't get me wrong, but lily's made more sense to win. she also had great technique

Stacey always annoyed me. She constantly wanted Lily to be head and shoulders above her team. She showed no empathy towards any other child but her own. As a psychologist I’m shocked that she allowed Lily to stay in this environment especially when she started have meltdowns and anxiety attacks.
Ok the fact that lily was that upset about getting second is so sad. I know they’re professional but putting that much pressure on s child and telling them 2nd place isn’t good enough is not the way to do it.

Savannah’s next level I never realized how good she was until I saw her performances at TDA. Abbys choreography doesn’t show these dancers full potential it’s crazy
You mean the *producers* don’t show their full potential
Yeah it’s not like they’re as young as the OGs. They were six, eight, nine, 10 and 13. These dancers are 10, 12, 13 and 14 and deserve tougher choreography because they’re ollllldddeeerrrrrrr. They’re older so they can handle hard coreography
You also have to keep in mind they only have a few hours to learn their solos so they have to give what they’re good at

The butterfly dance was beautiful, I absolutely love the custom. I really wish Abby wouldn’t have put the girls against each other so much Lilliana did great too!

Why Abby is upset that one of her dancer is second while the winner comes from her studio. 🤦🏻♀️ Like this is perfect, it's impossible that both of them get first. And she would have been upset to Savannah if Lilly would have come first. 🤦🏻♀️
Hmm. I think it is to create drama, to push the dancers to vie for the top spot as though they were auditioning/booking a professional job. I also think it was also because Lilly had danced with Abby before and if she wasn’t on top, she would not have been the favourite or the fact people might have thought she regressed. Which she didn’t but it did affect her in group dances for a while.

Lily never said she wanted to quit, she was upset that she didn’t win because she wanted to make Abby proud for putting her on the team. Also she got a really hard solo... Savanna’s solo wasn’t as advanced as Lily’s. (not saying Savanna’s wasn’t hard)

That is why I wanted mommy dearest to win, the solo was outstanding, the turns were performed rather than danced, the prop was put into great use which made the dance come together to look like a performance that gives a story! Lili's panché was mildly on point and her lines were beautiful. The only problem I would have with the dance is the costume that maybe didn't show all her lines, especially her waist down which could have changed the outcome because Lili is very flexible, so it gives her extra points when it comes to ballet, and her feet were pointed when the hanger was put into use. I love this dance because when you read the book, you can really say that the dance showed great story. Savana did extraordinary, I am so happy she won because she needed that win for sure, but again, in my humble opinion as a dancer, Lili's solo should have won.

Doesn’t matter. Savannah made the solo LOOK advanced. Lily’s solo looked cheap compared to Savannah’s.
