At my local skatepark skateboarders actually respect roller and inline skaters a lot because they say, when you skateboard and you're going to fall you can just kick the board to the side but you can't take your rollerskates off
They really are not the same when I was little I roller skated and I was able to do my splits, handstand, back handspring, etc and now I figure skate and in-line skate and trust me sweetie they aren’t the same

Lol, but dw about falling!! They have all skated for a very long time but still fall, just be careful and try not to tense up and make sure to keep your knees bent and you'll be ok! Even if you do fall it helps me get more comfortable (but ive only been skating for about 3 days so what do i know pfft, good luck if you do ever skate!)

Indy Jamma Jones has a video I watched yesterday of a man who started skating when he was 60. He's 76 at the time of filming, and it's absolutely amazing. He says it keeps him active healthy, and having fun. He also says don't be afraid, just wear the protective gear and start out slow to get the hang of it. 💕 I hope your Mrs. (and you, if you want to feel like flying) will try it!

skateboarders always have an issue with scooters, BMXers, and inline bros- but I am always stoked to see a roller girl at the park. i feel like there's a level of respect that skateboarders have with them that the other sports aren't afforded....because it's ACTUALLY cool to see you all ripping the bowl in some crazy looking skates. you rock !

Hey. Indy didn't treat people differently... she misjudged a situation. And she's learning from it. If you didn't see her latest video... she lost her whole business off of a hasty decision related to a video showing a live death in her online posting furum, that she thought she could save younger eyes from. She didn't deface anyone. She freaked out because it showed death then triggered people got to play a race card against her because there was a situation to blame. Indy has that hyper precision type, thinking brain (She was a trained gymnist/athlete and her aim is alot of precision) so she comes off sharp sometimes. She also loves and wants to help everyone, always. She isn't racist or even an opportunitist. She let EVERYONE judge her. She lost her busuness to straight up opinions. And she lost her best friend Pigeon for the brunt. Please don't spread hate anymore. We can all thrive better together. That's what this videos message was for.
As a proud Latina when I heard all about that drama it hurt to know that with a sport so freeing there's still so much judgment and because of it I refuse to buy impalas even though they are so cute yes they tried to rectify the situation to the skaters who were involved but I can't support any company that treats it's workers as such. As for indy she made her apology video too little too late where her apology just seems like it was something to do because it was expected of her and when you are in these platforms you have to be very careful of what you do or say because it can be taken the wrong way. You won't be able to understand the situation unless you are a part of the latino/black community. I've experienced racism on both parts from my own community (mostly older generation) and people who have white privilege I really hope she learns from this and in time ppl might be able to forgive her but as for now I can't

Sydney Lee I have scoliosis too but isn't too severe, I do inline skating, something really soft and it helps with my posture I just have to do it on flat (very flat) surfaces don't worry, I hope you can find a way !!

Wow, I have been roller skating since I was six and am now 16. I NEVER knew that skating could be like this! I am utterly amazed and my heart is shaking. I am so excited to figure out how to do tricks like these.
I have so much respect for roller skaters, I recently started watching a bunch of roller skating videos and really motivated me to try it myself. Well, I went yesterday and now I have many bruises and i'm SOOOO sore lol. I fell so many times and even fell really hard on the back of my head. (the rest of the day I had a MASSIVE headache) But of course I'm totally going to try it again.

My mistake was that I put all my weight on the stroller and not on my feet, which definitely caused me to fall a lot. Do you think it’s dumb to wear a helmet to a roller rink? I’ve considered it since I fell really hard on the back of my head. What do you think?

This is my 5th year skating and I still love every second of it! Today was my first day on a skate park and I seriously was embarrassed, scared but I got through it! I even did a jump! Thank you so much Pigeon and Indy(Especially Indy!!!!) For helping my with my roller skating journey!!!

I want to be one of them, I mean I wear all black and blue and will only just be buying a pair of skates for my birthday - but they are so inspiring and colourful that I can't help but want to know them! I've watched loads of videos about them and I just love all their personalities! I'm also longboarding and can't wait to try this out. I just get really nervous when other people look at me so i'm trying to find a quiet place to skate and board.

Hey. Indy didn't treat people differently... she misjudged a situation. And she's learning from it. If you didn't see her latest video... she lost her whole business off of a hasty decision related to a video showing a live death in her online posting furum, that she thought she could save younger eyes from. She didn't deface anyone. She freaked out because it showed death then triggered people got to play a race card against her because there was a situation to blame. Indy has that hyper precision type, thinking brain (She was a trained gymnist/athlete and her aim is alot of precision) so she comes off sharp sometimes. She also loves and wants to help everyone, always. She isn't racist or even an opportunitist. She let EVERYONE judge her. She lost her busuness to straight up opinions. And she lost her best friend Pigeon for the brunt.
Please don't spread hate anymore. We can all thrive better together.

As a proud Latina when I heard all about that drama it hurt to know that with a sport so freeing there's still so much judgment and because of it I refuse to buy impalas even though they are so cute yes they tried to rectify the situation to the skaters who were involved but I can't support any company that treats it's workers as such. As for indy she made her apology video too little too late where her apology just seems like it was something to do because it was expected of her and when you are in these platforms you have to be very careful of what you do or say because it can be taken the wrong way. You won't be able to understand the situation unless you are a part of the latino/black community. I've experienced racism on both parts from my own community (mostly older generation) and people who have white privilege I really hope she learns from this and in time ppl might be able to forgive her but as for now I can't

Sydney Lee I have scoliosis too but isn't too severe, I do inline skating, something really soft and it helps with my posture I just have to do it on flat (very flat) surfaces don't worry, I hope you can find a way !!

I have so much respect for roller skaters, I recently started watching a bunch of roller skating videos and really motivated me to try it myself. Well, I went yesterday and now I have many bruises and i'm SOOOO sore lol. I fell so many times and even fell really hard on the back of my head. (the rest of the day I had a MASSIVE headache) But of course I'm totally going to try it again.

@@saoirse_flies to be completely honest, I actually haven’t gone back. It’s kind of hard because the closest roller rink is about an hour away from where I live. I’d really love to go again but probably during a weekday because I feel like there will be less people therefore I can be a bit more comfortable. Are you a roller skater yourself?

I don't have a rink nearby that's open right now so I'm going to be practicing in the parking lot by my house, and once I get decent there I'll be all over the hills of my apartment complex.
@@saoirse_flies that’s so cool ! When I went, I actually used the stroller for the most part. Towards the end of our session, I started to get the hang of it. My mistake was that I put all my weight on the stroller and not on my feet, which definitely caused me to fall a lot. Do you think it’s dumb to wear a helmet to a roller rink? I’ve considered it since I fell really hard on the back of my head. What do you think?
