It's so cute, the way Lucien says "Shadowmere, my old and dear friend..." Also when he said "I've been through worse!" while fighting I laughed and internally cried because he really has been. No, seriously, his death in Oblivion was... brutal, to say the least. Poor Lucien, he didn't deserve that. At least Sithis gave him a second chance at life, to be summoned by the Listener and help him/her with the Dark Brotherhood's contracts.
Oh no? He had a tragic death? I'll have to search that up, I didn't know. Yeah once you know what the meaning is behind his words, I can understand why you'd feel bad internally. Yeah, Sithis is kind enough to give him a second chance. That's the least he can get for staying loyal.
@@CursedRin Ah, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to spoil it for you. I assumed you knew since you made this video and referred to him by his true name, Lucien Lachance. @@RainbowEssence-c3w No, don't worry, I don't consider this a spoiler, all is good. Yeah I made this video, but honestly, I know very little of his oblivion life. I read somewhere on UESP that Lucien has a unique quote if you summon him during the Cicero quest. The one where he is injured, and you have the choice of killing him or sparing his life
I know sithis probably treasures Cicero, he is after all the reason for the dark brotherhood’s revival. But I like to think that he doesn’t want him to die cause it’d be annoying to have him by his side in the void and wants to at least delay the inevitable. Cause it’s funny.
@@dumpster9048 Partly but I think it’s mainly because Cicero was actually the perfect dark brotherhood member. Followed and valued the tenants when others didn’t, respected the nigh mother and the old ways of the brotherhood that had been forgotten. Tried to cleanse the Falkreath sanctuary, he was actually the good guy in terms of what was best from the Dark Brotherhood.
Such a great character with the best story arc in Oblivion, and arguably the best in the entire series, voices by such an amazing voice actor. So glad he returned in Skyrim.
Yeah, I remember my sister playing Skyrim the first time and got super exited about him being in the game. I didn't know what was going on, and she'd ramble about him. It's kinda cool how they made a character return that people actually enjoy.
@@CursedRin The one in Oblivion is far superior, and is arguably the best questline I can remember for the entire series. After that would probably be the Shivering Isles' expansion, which is also in Oblivion.
"You know a good Purification might be what this Sanctuary needs" In Oblivion you do a quest where you "Perform the ancient rite known as Purification. Everyone in the Sanctuary must die!" I loved that quest.
This is so interesting how unaware I am to the Skyrim quotes that are related to Oblivion. It's like a new discovery every time when comments like this show up ! What's going on with that quest? Is that a quest Lucian Lachance gives?
I hated that quest because I had really come to like the DB members and I thought it was unfair to kill them all just because one of them was a traitor. Plus, I don't even think we actually found out who the traitor was, so it felt like it was all for nothing.

@Ellie Diablo .oooooooooh... well rip Lucian. And, so, that happened after you killed everyone in the sanctuary, then? And you killed everyone because you didn't know who the traitor was exactly? And when Lucian died, were you part of the 4v1 that killed him or you arrived too late and had to fight the traitor? So Mathieu being the true traitor, he had other people by his side, too?
