    西側とくに英米におけるベートーヴェンピアノ協奏曲の大御所といえるルイスのピアノ。自信に満ちた素晴らしい切れ味と美しい音。
    オケも新鮮さを感じさせる、シャープさで気持ち良い。

The piano composition from 35minutes onwards takes music creativity to a new level of genius that is far beyond previous or later composers.

The third movement drives, Lewis plays with such intense passion even more so than on his album and the Steinway piano sounds utterly amazing! The timpani is also mic'd, compressed and tuned to perfection! Absolutely brilliant!

Only the 1st, but no, I must.
At first? an unsympathetic rendition of what I have so long loved.
_And then?_ Of just why I had so long loved, so well.
And then?! *How dare you represent Beethoven's **_bravura_** and courage? and strength!*
_A vous, Msr Lewis ... et merçi._

Yes, superb. I enjoy the strength and physicality of his playing. The strength does not detract in the least from pianissimos and pianos which are gorgeous. I have much admiration for his work. Thank you for this upload.

Desde luego ver eso y cotejarlo con lo que hacen los músicos pop, es comparar la belleza imperecedera con la ordinariez más absoluta.

So many women in the pit. Lovely. And the first violinist and concert master a woman of grandiose gestures and regal proportions! O and the music aint too shabby. Now if we can just get that knuckle-fisted ivory pecker to pick up the beat. I think I saw him snooze for a second!

  • @amotkram99

Clearly there are balance issues. Most likely the editing process. Sometimes the high ww are way to loud or quiet vs the rest of the orchestra. And there is no way the piano is louder than a full tutti, but it often is in this video. I believe it is audio editing process though. The performance is excellent.
