This was from a time when Jimmy became my number 1 artist. I was 18 and loving life. Jimmy began singing with his band Cold Chisel at 16 and a half years of age. Chisel (Aussie's shorten a lot of names) were a pub rock band that played a variety of songs from rock, blues, soul, and a song with a touch if reggae. They began in 1973 and released their first album in 1978. They disbanded in 1983 but have reformed for tours quite a few times and released subsequent albums. I have ticked to see them in October 2024. Can't wait. It's their 50th anniversary tour. Jimmy's solo career began in 1984. He has written 3 books about his upbringing, called Working Class Boy, Working Class Man (a song of his), and Killing Time (a song if Cold Chisel). Enjoy your discovery.
