Seeing John Farnham live in concert in the late 80s was the best event I've ever, ever attended live. He's a real entertainer! Please don't apologise for stopping the video in those key moments. John Farnham is a great favorite of mine. The guitarist is also an Australian icon.

I was there dude. This was an encore after a 2 hour concert. He then came back and did another encore of “Help!” The energy they all had after 2 hours was insane.

I was there! I am so grateful to have been born in the same era as John Farnham. He IS The Voice! Every concert of his was amazing (I’ve been to about 15), but this one was extra special.

I wasn't at that concert but I grew up in Elizabeth, South Australia in the 1960s. My family lived near Jimmy's at one stage and I worked at Defence at Salisbury when Don worked there, I'm a few weeks older than Mossy and recently returned to NZ after seeing him performing in the Maldives (he and Jimmy performed there in 2022 and it was like being a Chisel gig but with just 200 people in the audience). I'm heading back to Australia in Oct and November to attend Chisel concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide (5 concerts) and will be seeing the guys in NZ in January 2025. My all time favourite band - their songs are timeless!

I was lucky, fortunate also privileged to present at this concert plus a few more of John’s concerts. When performing live, there are no one comes close to him, brilliant, exhilarating entertainment. PS This song was the last song of the concert, which was over 2 hours. 😱😱😱

I love your reaction and pretty sure I almost saw a tear, which is a normal reaction to this masterpiece. Not sure if anyone has mentioned, he was I a lot of pain while doing this performance since he had a bleeding lesion on one of his vocal chords, but he refused to cancel the show. There are no words, I absolutely love this man

I have lost count at how many times I have seen him in concert and had the privilege to chat with him back stage at a night club. He also lives near me but that's all hush hush lol

Didn’t attend this concert but attended many of his others. John always drew energy from his audience and loved performing. He has recently beaten cancer and remains one of Australia’s most popular musicians despite no longer performing.

the 'Haber-Bosch' alliance they speak of, is the machine designed and built by Frits haber and the company Bosch that synthesize Ammoniac. That is in use even today to make artificial fertilizers. The contradiction they speak of, is that while Habers discovery is feeding billions of people, the very same creation also makes toxic gas that they then used in WW1. So.. Saved billions from starvation... killed hundreds of thousands with the gas... Sinner or a Saint? A very good question.

Chisel were and still are, at least to me, world class. It's a pure shame that they never made it in the States. But I'm glad people are able to appreciate them now via RUclips and reactions. Ian and Jimmy and the rest are fire 🔥

John actually first released this song in 1980. This performance was in 1989. So John was just happy that people still remembered it.
