I understand if people might find this underwhelming, but everybody talking about it like it's a sin against Street Fighter itself clearly didn't sit through A Shadow Falls.
I don’t if I’d even consider A Shadow Falls a sin against Street Fighter. It had its moments, and lasting lore implications that directly trickle into III and 6.

I sat through A Shadow Falls, and the fact that this story manages to be even more of a pointless spectacle devoid of good writing makes it even a BIGGER sin. At least SF5, there was a fucking plot that MEANT something to the series timeline.
Alas, this is Street Fighter. It's lore is as much the same as it's characters - just F U N C T I O N AL

Stats matter more than moves.
I love how this story mode is essentially "get your ass beat by the main cast till the end"

I do love the interactions go the characters training the character. I do have a bias towards Gief though since I love how it he just stops his own training and goes all out on the encouragement.

Soo we're creating a character that just wanted to get a little stronger happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Get's involved into sth (that I don't rly now yet) travels around the world learn and make friends with others just to get on a tournament where our best buddy has gotten crazy and die's? later (infront of his lil sister, can I bet that she will have a part somewhat later) and we're just about to meet the same end like Bosch? Did i get that kind of right? 😅
Somehow feels like a Prologue of something bigger to me you know 🤔
The cutscene at the end is just the cutscene where JP becomes the player's mentor, all he did was give them the ability to wield psycho power so that they could learn his moves.
@@Corvus-IX So, he gave us a power that canonically broke down Bison's body, forcing him to do cloning experiments, that thing with Cammy and the Dolls, and various attempts to take other bodies. Gee. Thanks, old man!
they should do episode 2 of World tour
with multiple endinds. Whether we will side with JP or Street Fighters.

Story is actually much bigger, UDON comics explain backstory for JP and Ken downfall.

I really love this story mode especially how it feels like reward in the world tour....but I just hope they do some kind of part 2 with chronological stage and fights like sfv but better

Hmm so instead of having the member cast of Street Fighter carry the story now the developer change that MC become Us (The custom made character), it is fresh per se but.... this is pretty risky as well. Oh well, the main attraction of this game is not the story anyway. But I'm a bit more disappointed with how it ended for now rather than the whole story run. The concept is great though giving players more options to play around, for the traditional players and pro i think they won't bother so much with this, they will just grind their main and get ready for tournaments.

Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat have the most iconic fighting game characters outside Smash Bros and Capcom's proven with Devil May Cry, Onimusha and Resident Evil that they have the chops to do the same kind of cinematic stuff NRS does.
They just insist on doing the bare minimum with Street Fighter for some reason.

Actually, this is NOT like MK Konquest, because MK Konquest is infinitely better than this trash. And yes, Capcom don't wanna put effort to their story mode, all they did here was just to shove in so many ideas just to make it a lot bigger than it actually is, while it barely has any value, if any.
@Roy Arkon Dunno, I found this way more tolerable than whatever poorly written garbage NRS shits out. No D'Vorah, no Retconned Sindel, no Kronika.
@@lazaroskarmaniolas7410 NRS/WB made fantastic story modes. Both D'Vorah and Kronika are excellent characters. And the Sindel change is not a retcon, but a plot twist that was 8-yeas in the making. There is a cutscene in the MK9 story mode that explains how and why in MK11 Sindel is evil. All you do is just parroting what all bashers were saying with no thinking at all, when the only reason that they're saying is because they don't know storytelling actually works and are just creatures of habits that can't accept changes to things that they are accustomed to, or they're just community shills, which is exactly what you are. Stop the parroting and learn the facts. NRS/WB stories are objectively incredible, and SF6 World Tour, just like SFV and MVCI stories, is fucking pathetic #FACTS

It’s the story that makes the sequels make sense. This is what makes people invested in characters provided by the games.
It worked very well for Mortal Kombat in the early days.

@@joaoii1082 because the idea here is to introduce this universe for newcomers to the series. And is not the actual story mode is just the focus of the game history maybe in the future we receive a mk-like history mode acording to the devs
A terrible ending for a terrible story mode. Just as I suspected, on top of the lacking of voice acting in the teacher's cutscenes, non-sensical abilities, enemies that are annoying beyond belief, flawed day-night cycle, limited free roaming to only 2 big areas, and having only 4 characters (Juri, Chun-Li, JP and Luke) to have any actual involvement or impact on the story. Absolutely pathetic.
roaming in the cities is a chore as well.

In fact this is the worst story ending I personally ever seen for any video game of any genre (and I've seen quite a lot of stories and endings), and it might be the worst of all video games overall. At least SF5's ending was the bare-minimum of a proper ending. And don't get me wrong, both the stories and endings of both games were fucking terrible, SF6 in particular just takes the cake for the ending, easily.
