Oh yeah, absolutely the most hilarious video by Rammstein 🤣 Just can't stop laughing every time I see it! The revisited versions of old clips are fantastic, band members searching for Till's replacement... so fantastic! Their idea for the video was to show the absolute opposite to what the lyrics says about how united they are 😉 And even though they make friends with Marylin Manson (even played with him once), here is just someone with his makeup. What I found funny is that it is Paul who gets beaten first, although he is the only one who didn't have the opportunity to kill Till 🤣 Have a great day! 😎
Marilyn Manson and Rammstein are "friends". He once sang "Beautiful people" with Rammstein. Metallica sang Angel. Marilyn is also friends with Max Raabe (and his Palastorchester). Another great entertainer of German music (in the style of the 20s and 30s). Max and Co. were also at Marilyn's wedding to Tita. Max Raabe and his Palaastorchester also played at Carnegie Hall NY. Very moving in those other times, even in Israel.

The video is awesome. Everyone thinks Till is dead and everyone suspects the other of having murdered him. What you see is one person's idea of how the other person could have killed him. To use clips from other videos of rammstein and to change them slightly is simply awesome. In addition, the video shows the exact opposite of what the lyrics say. The lyrics are about unconditional cohesion and the video shows quarreling false friends.

It's a testament to longevity when most bands after 30 years have all It's original members. When Till was accused by that woman, he put a little distance between him and the others. Most likely to keep them free from accusations. Hopefully now that he was cleared and the story fell apart, he'll be like it was before, but more careful around female fans. Not much has been said, but I'm hoping the 2024 anniversary tour will be great and it'll be like old days. Maybe even a new album and 2025 North American with more than one Canadian date.

The actual reference is from Helene Weils' song "Und der Haifisch, der hat Zähne…" out of the "Die Dreigroschenoper" from Bertold Brecht, one of the most important and influentual German lyricists and dramatictians of the 20th century (very worth to read, btw.). Bertold Brecht, though being a staunch socialist (even though he prefered to live in the GDR), has and still is one of the greatest German in literary history. And here's the original song to which Rammsteins song refers to… it is actually called "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer" from Kurt Weills' musical drama "Die Dreigroschenoper" from the 1930s, but still based on Bertold Brecht, who was a literary giant. Probably my favorite Rammstein video as well. I re-watch it very often. You understood everything perfectly: Till's big breasted mistresses discovering each other's existence, the band members suspecting each other, Till being murdered in cruel and grotesque ways in relation of previous clip scenarios...while is alive and well in some paradise island enjoying fishing and the presence of beautiful women. Great stuff!
