Loving the videos very descriptive keep up the good work, just a quick questio. You say you cleaned the ink needle whT do you me by the ink needle sorry?
Appreciate the feedback! The needle is what punctures the ink cartridge. It has two tiny holes that tend to clog. Typically, I see this with printers that have been stored for long periods with either no cartridges or empty ones. Think ink will typically clog at the points of air exposure.
Thank you for the information! We just purchased and transported a vs 640 and it will not take ink. Can I get a copy of the service manual mentioned in this video? Thanks for your help!
Hi! I hv a typical VS540 problem, just replaced the print head, OEM damper and captop but still missing one channel Cyan, we hv this missing Cyan channel before the print head replacement. We flush both the Cyan channel and soaked for two day but still one Cyan channel missing. This is what Im going to do, Im going use syringe to pull ink under the dx7 damper (I don't usually do that for dx7), maybe cut the hose line 1/8" on the clip between line to damper, maybe cut the Cyan hose line 1/8" at Cartridge/ink system, already did the flush adjust...question, can I access fully to the choke valve (choke valve jammed damn) and how you access or clean the needle? Oh I will also check if manifold crack (just saying but damn don't you dare). Anything I miss in order to get Cyan back, somewhere clogged
Sounds like you are looking in the correct direction. After trimming the hoses, carefully try to bypass that cyan choke valve and see if it helps. Pull cartridge and have some paper towels to contain the mess. See if that helps. To check the needle, it can get messy, pull cartridge, and disconnect from needle. Place something under needle to catch the ink and see if it is flowing. Would be best if you have a cleaning cartridge when testing if need ls clogged. Of course check and see if the trimming of hoses helped before digging deeper. Also try new cyan cartridges before going deeper.
On my Roland Versacamm VS 540i I have done multiple head soaks over night and cleaned it manually many times however I cannot get the Magenta, cyan, yellow and light grey colors on the nozzle check print pattern to print fully I get about 50% of the lines what can I do?
Hi I just heard you say through this video on flushing cap adjustment that you can get service manuals for your viewers, I have just purchased a secondhand Roland vg 640, I have not had a chance to have a look at it yet, I downloaded the user manual and have not opened it yet, the guy I purchased it from said I will need to get a Roland Technician out to service it, is there any chance that you can forward me a service manual for this printer as I am a disabled pensioner and cannot afford to get a tech out and want to learn how to do it myself, I do not even know yet how to put the ink in or load the vinyl yet so as you can see I only got it the other day. I do really hope that you can help me out please. I am in Australia in the middle of bum fuck no where so there is nothing out here. Thank you for reading, I have already watched so many of your video's and they are helping already, I was surprised that the printhead is not encased like most other printheads in other machines like the canon ipf750 which is what I started with and was not working but it is a real trooper and still going strong. Thank you Jen
Boss how to bypass the choke valve, the tube joined siting on top of choke valve? My Cyan on 2nd position of left is not printing so on the damper it's on the 2nd on right? Thanks Mike 😊
Hey Buddy do you recomended flusing the system before replacing the head if the printer was down for a bit? if so do you have avideo on flushing the system using the flush cartridge.
Good video - I have so many problems like this with my print head - I usually adjust it manually with the screws - I need to look into the service manual - I'll send you an email -- would appreciate it if you can send it - Thanks - Matt.
Hi There. Great video, thanks!! I'm used to toner not ink and could really do with reading the service manual so I know where everything is that you're taking about on here. Do you could where I can source a copy?
APPRECIATE the knowledge. Thanks you SIr.
My pleasure!
Hi I have Cyan Problem and I saw ink flushing in the media tarp. Please advice me. Thank you

Yes! I can definitely make you a video as I have a Vs300 I need to replace one on this week
Should the head height be set at a LOW level?
I always do it on head height low. Don't think it actually matters though
